I have one I've used for years and carry every day. Also shooting in IDPA. I also had a tactical which I recently changed to the four inch with a red dot

the XD9 4" is my most reliable firearm. Glock 19 is my second most reliable

I have the 40c sub compact variant. Bi- tone also. What people may or may not know is, you can't even rack the slide unless you depress that grip safety. But I love the gun. It shoots great. I rotate it, and the Glock 27 in the winter

I own the xd9 service model and love it. I feel the grip safety is a good feature and extra layer of safety especially if you carry appendix. It is a great reliable gun.

I carry one regularly and have a lot of rounds and training through it. I have never ONCE had an issue with the grip safety. If your grip is bad enough to not engage the safety, it likely wouldn't matter anyway.

I have the all-blacked XD-40. 155 grain rounds seem to perform best out of the 4” barrel 40. Great review! Long live the Croatian Springfield!

I've had the xd9 5" tactical for almost shy 10 years now... Have had so many rounds through it by now at so many different shooting ranges... I hope that I haven't worn out it's barrel for when I really need it. They market it as something that will last you a lifetime... I'm now at the stage when I'm testing this claim 😅. So far she's holding on like a champ no issues, no ftfs no ftes. Had a few hand loaded rounds that didn't go off with the striker, went off in the hammer fired Taurus PT 92. Maybe that was due to light strike. But other than that, on good standardized ammo, I've never had any issue whatsoever. I deep clean my gun once a few months, get all the carbon out from even the tiniest of crevices. Then hoppes 9 for storage at home while I carry something else till range day

People make such a big deal out of the grip safety on the XD. But when it comes to a 1911 no one says one thing about it. Find me one time the grip safety on the XD put someone at a critical disadvantage. Unless you fire your weapon with two fingers you will never have an issue.

What is grip like? Is it comfortable for the Springfield Armory xd 9 like the glock 19 is? Glock was comfortable to me

Always had some interest in these never got around to it given Glock. On the flip side, given my investment into Glock, the PSA Dagger was a no brainer. Would love to see it on the channel!

Been around awhile? It first hit the market as the XD is 2002 so a bit more than awhile.

Can we appendix carry these? If so, I might get it.

many appendix the Glock...dimensionally they are almost the same. The XD has a slightly longer larger grip, but that doesn't affect appendix concealment as much as IWB 3 o'clock position or OWB.
