Heck yeah is right! Congratulations man. That’s a nice single axle truck! Especially with the M11. I’d like to find myself one just like that one to haul heavy equipment with. I can’t wait to hear it going through all the gears loaded down with hay.
I worked in the truck shop for PYA foodservice for 14 years.... had about 25 2275's with the old L-10 and about 35 8100's with the M-11's which is an electronic engine.....whereas the L-1o is a manual......Both have gear driven water pumps.....S O B to change.... On our farm we have 2 2275 with 855 big cam cummings.......We have about 600 rounds left that we are going to convert into small squares.....for feed stores...Just swapped outt New Holland baler/ Bale Bandit combo.... for Massey Hesston/ Bale Barron combo......
Diamond C, over engineered! Great product, that I would never buy. Too much money unfortunately. I can get 2 goosnecks from another brand with similar towing capacities for the price of one Diamond C. Just my opinion.
You mentioned a 3 inch ball for 40,000 pounds. That is commercial and the tags will eat you alive. Farm plates are good for 34,000. I highly recommend that option. your bales are not that heavy. You could still carry a lot of them.
You could build yourself a Mini deck on that truck for A couple round bales and I seen where guys have left the 5th wheel and put a ball just behind it for the gooseneck but then they had a simi trailer and I've seen where they put a heavy plate on the back For towing bumper tow trailers or implements also keep in mind if you want to keep the stack it may interfere with the hay bale hot exhaust and dry hay makes fire
Once you put flatbed on legally becomes truck not tractor by DMV rules. A truck and trailer combination may not exceed 65 feet in overall length. 65 feet max. The length of a single vehicle, other than a truck tractor, may not exceed 45 feet. 45 feet max (22) "Truck tractor" means a motor vehicle designed and used primarily to draw another vehicle but not constructed to carry a load other than a part of the weight of the other vehicle and its load. (23) "Vehicle" means a device that can be used to transport or draw persons or property on a highway.
I couldn’t really tell in the video but it looks like your 5th wheel is “blocked’’ in the front, keeping the 5th wheel from being able to pivot. Which can damage the kingpin on the trailer. Hopefully that’s not the case. Just thought i would mention it.
Keep up the good work
Great video Dane
Congrats on the new rig!! I really like that body style, its a classic look.
Beautifully set up rig👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Nice looking semi Dane
Gets a new truck & then hauls with the old one... Nice!

Nice addition
Cool truck
Nice rig I'd personally work towards a diamond C step deck on a 3" ball with that truck it would be a hay hauling monster.

awesome rig! I have a day cab beer truck with custom flatbed I haul with would not go back to a pickup I was killing them.

Best thing I ever did was put a gooseneck ball behind the 5th wheel on the semi. Sure bests a pickup.

Make sure you push in your tractor valve and your trailer valve
Kentucky might be northern from texas but it’s definitely not northern. We don’t get rust like northern states do
Nice little rig! Do you have any plans for that old Ford TW, love those tractors!
I 2nd that!
Yes we do! It's on the list to get it in action.... just too busy
Have you looked into sludge for fertilizer? Probably cheaper

It was blocked. Took out the bolts that slide in. Don't want to tear anything up.
Alright when can we expect the 4500 to be up for sale?

Make it count with chemical don’t use fertilizer.
