This song was originally only with Halestorm and Lzzzy but back in 2012 when EVANESCENCE first meet with Halestorm they started a summer tour together... Lzzy would be playing this song during their set by herself... and Amy felt the song was being played without it's full potential so she asked Lzzy if she would be able to come out to be doing harmonies with her... Lzzy totally told her to take a part by herself but Amy refused, Amy felt she wanted to add to the already great main vocals Lzzy has, so she went out each night of the tour to do this special moment with Lzzy and Amy together by mid song when Amy came out to be doing her harmonies.... it was such a special moment you can find low quality old videos with millions of views of the times back then when they did it live....
Lots of years passed and in 2019 Halestorm was doing like a reimagined version of some of their songs EP... and she thought it would be amazing to take the song Break In once again and invite Amy to join officially on a recording, remembering the times they did it live.... so yes it was firsst without her, then it was live with Amy since Amy wanted to be doing harmonies, and 7 years later it got recorded on a studio after fans asked for it as well lots of times.....

Really love your reaction. If you are going to check more Halestorm I would wholeheartedly suggest "I am the Fire" - it's such an empowering anthem. As for Amy being featured on other artist's tracks - try Lindsey Stirling ft Amy Lee - Love Goes On and On. It's different and it's awesome. Again, thanks for this treat... I'm a fan of both Amy and Lzzy. The first video I saw of this song was a live version from Asbury Park, NJ. Halestorm was performing on The Stone Pony summer stage, I believe, Lzzy was at the piano, and then the crowd went wild. The next thing Amy comes out and just kills it.
When you hear Dany sing it, you will be captured.

this song is amazing, their voices and harmonies are incredible, Amy Lee and Lizzy are very good friends and have even done entire concerts together. Amy Lee is one of the voices I appreciate most. That has nothing to do with the song but which is very nice, on RUclips there is a clip where Amy Lee says she is a big fan of Aurora and there is also this interview with 3 artists including Aurora, in a radio program hosted by Amy Lee, where Amy Lee praises Aurora and tells her that she is a big fan of hers, it's always nice when there is this great mutual respect between artists, everything surprised me a lot, it was just to share

By the way I am sure they will be performing this song together live in the tour yet to come in October I am so jealous of not being able to travel from Mexico to Canada by that time to see this concert... but I was able to just get tickets for Evanescence in Mexico City in August and then for THE WARNING in Auditorio Nacional for next year in February... so 2 out of my favorite 3 bands I will be watching... for real Evanescence Halestorm and The Warning are in my top 5 of favorite bands ever.

Amy asked Lzzy if she could sing the harmony line on the song with her. Lzzy offered Amy the second verse and she said "no", she just wanted to sing the harmony.
Lzzy and Amy Lee are truely friend, not just a perfo type of friend. Now it's mean that Danny will be expose to Amy Lee closely... as Danny got an incredible voice, way more range then what she use in The Warning song ( as you can hear in Danny Day's perfo) I realy hope that Danny will get influence in some way by Amy Lee. I wish I could be a fly in those back stage during that canadien tour and withness how those power-house women will get along. We already know that Lzzy love and support Danny, can't wait to see those BTS video. Happy your going and hope you'll bring back some video of that evening :-D

Amy came to Lzzy during their first joint tour about Dueting on the song. Lzzy instantly offered the lead to Amy. Amy only wanted the harmonies. Lzzy is probably the greatest collaborator working right now.
I first watched this video because I watched Dany sing it live. The harmonies blew me away but I wasn’t a fan of the instrumental arrangement. In fact, I’d love to hear a version with just a lone guitar or piano. Perhaps that is what I love about Dany’s cover. Her vocals shine. When you have Lzzy and Amy, with a subtle musical accompaniment, their voices would soar even more. Great reaction!
Lzzy offered Amy her own verses but Amy didn't want one. Amy was also the one that requested they do that song together, she had it in her mind how it would go and Lzzy of course was happy to do it.
For Halestorm "I Am The Fire" the video is just the band playing in the desert with pyrotechnic you'll like it.

Now that you’re reacting to this one, you gotta hear Dany’s sit down acoustic version via Dany Day since you now know what it sounds like. By far, one of THE best vocals Dany has done and seldom heard quite that way. Lzzy certainly draws out Dany’s passion.

Suggested this to you months ago. So happy you did get to it. The history is, 13 years ago Halestorm and Evanescence were on tour together. Lzzy would play piano, all by herself and sing Break In. Amy Lee asked Lzzy if she could come out on stage and harmonize with her. Lzzy offered the lead to Amy. She said no, but Lzzy talked her into the split. There is a video of a LIVE performance from way back when. I still love this version best.
I to am also jealous that you get to see that show. I look forward to you telling us about it.
On a side note, if you are not familiar with them you should check out the Vancouver based group Unleash the Archers. They are amazing musicians and their front woman Britney Slays is phenomenal. The full band play through of “Awakening” is the place to start.

Fun fact about this video: it's recorded in one take. They tried it many times until they finally got it, because their producer thought it would make the song sound the most honest and true. And I think it worked!

As for what Halestorm to listen to...Apocalyptic, Bombshell, I Get Off, Love Bites, Here's To Us... all solid choices. And they'll probably play Back from the Dead and Wicked Ways since they are on the most recent album dropped.

I love this song, but for me personally, I love Dany's stripped down acoustic guitar performance of this song so much more, in fact I think it's better than the original, and that's not to take anything away from Lzzy and Amy, both amazing voices, just for me though, Dany I think captured the mood of the song (for lack of better words) better in my opinion.

IMO there aren’t that many female vocalists that can hang with Lzzy when she’s in full voice.
This is a good example of Lzzy singing in clean voice but she has amazing distortion as well.
Lzzy and Amy are 2 very different singers that are both amazing in their own right.
I’m a huge TW fan as well but Dany isn’t quite to this level…yet. That’s being realistic.
Both Lzzy and Amy are obviously older and much more mature vocalists. Most female vocalists don’t mature until their 30’s.
Dany’s range is still expanding and she may get to this level in the coming years but not quite yet and I’m damn excited to see what she can do. Yes, Dany’s cover is pretty damn good.
