- Today we say goodbye to the NCL Spirit but this adventure is far from over. We spend the next 2 days exploring everything that Vancouver has to offer. We even take a quick flight over to Victoria to search for some orcas. I'll let you watch my experience on that flight. It was something that can only be described as horrendous, lol. Had the best 2 days in Canada. Sad that everything is coming to an end. It was an incredible 16 days with Dee, Jay, Ben & David. There is always pain when I experience these trips without Sean but I know he put 4 amazing friends in my life to help support me as I continue to carry out his dream of continuing to travel. Thanks for following along on the adventure. Here's to many more in the future!

A Little About Sean & Stef:
I'm Stef and together with my husband Sean, we started this channel to document our travels around the world. Sadly, Sean passed away from cancer in 2021 but the one thing he made me promise him was that I would continue to travel. So that is what I am doing. And I am learning through every painful new, solo adventure, there is joy and hope. Here's to all the new experiences that are out there awaiting US (cause Sean will always be by my side)!
So glad that you loved Vancouver. We love living in Vancouver aka "Lotus Land". Sometimes I think we take all of its natural beauty for granted so thank you for bringing it to us through the lens of our gracious visitors.
Hi, I moved to Vancouver at 14 from the Saskatchewan prairies, and I love it here. I grew up near the top of the house line on Grouse Mountain, further up Capilano Road from the Suspension Bridge. In high school, a friend worked there, and if no supervisors were around, she'd let us sneak in. It looks like they've done some upgrades to the park. It is interesting to see reactions to our city from travelers, as it reminds me why I feel lucky to live here. Victoria and the Vancouver Island is very beautiful. We enjoy 3 day jaunts to the island in the fall when we need a short getaway. Hubby's sister lives in Parksville, outside of Nanaimo. There is lots to see and enjoy on the island, so if you return, check out the island for several days! I'm glad you enjoyed your cruise and visit to our city!
Oh wow, Stef! I could never do that bridge. In my younger days I had no fear of anything but now heights and unstable surfaces terrify me. Well done you! ❤

I wish you had shown some of the Kia-palano area of the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. You learn about the Indigenous people whose unceded territory the park sits on. It's a great display.

I live on the island and the sea plane is the best way to get to the mainland. I think it’s a lovely journey.

So happy you got to go to Capilano Suspension Bridge and then over to Victoria. The flight is much better than the 4 hour one way trip from downtown Vancouver to Victoria by our lovely ferries. You should try that out sometime when you have LOTS of time! lol. Looking forward to your next adventures.

Hi Stef, Happy Friday! This was so fun. First Ben crossing the suspension bridges. 😊. The first seaplane, "why do I do these things". Lol. Whales can be tough to find sometimes. Glad they gave you a voucher to return. Then your comment about how bad the second flight was. Telling us "you gotta do this"!. Loved seeing clips of you and Sean.❤. I live and Love Love living in Vancouver. Stanley Park, the Capilano Suspension bridge is a must. Granville Island is a must as well. Hope you come back and see more of Beautiful BC.
I just started watching this and when the seaplane is taking off, I remembered that about a week ago, one of the seaplanes was taking off, but a small boat pulled in front of it, the plane hit it, ruptured both floats and sank! I think they all got out ok, cant remember if the people on the boat were injured or no! On with the video!

Just so you know... it is pretty much your fault that I booked an Alaska cruise for 2025. Your videos looked so fun that I had to do it. Not a fan of the heat and the Caribbean ports, so I wanted something different. You sold me 🙂 Going on the Discovery Princess in May of 2025.
Hi, love to see how you tricked Ben, with the tree path. I found it not so bad. I didn’t do the cliff path. That was to much for me, my son did it, but he’s not afraid of heights. But it’s a lot of fun at the Capilano suspension park.
And what an amazing adventure with the seaplane. What a great views. Would have loved to do that.
We had to go back to Vancouver and Alaska, there’s so much more to see.

We did a sea plane in Ketchikan, landing on a fjord and then bringing a boat back and I was very proud of myself. I even was taking pictures out the window but of course I had my Dramamine!

We call them cobra chickens 😂😂 sorry you didn’t see the whales, we see them fishing on the coast. So I have never done the whale watching boat! But good to know that you can come back for free!
We live just a few miles north of Victoria, and this morning there was a pod of 7-9 Orcas just in our inlet here!
Wait until you find out a Harbour Air plane hit a boat on the water in Vancouver during takeoff about 3 weeks ago.
So there's Beaver Tails, Doughboys, Reindeer Farts, Reindeer Farts, Duck Farts and now Otter Balls. Um, what is it with Canada and Alaska with their "dad food/drink" names? I'm waiting for someone to ask to "pull my finger" 🤣😂 Sorry, well not really. lol
