A Little About Sean & Stef:
I'm Stef and together with my husband Sean, we started this channel to document our travels around the world. Sadly, Sean passed away from cancer in 2021 but the one thing he made me promise him was that I would continue to travel. So that is what I am doing. I am learning through every painful new, solo adventure, there is joy and hope. Here's to all the new experiences that are out there awaiting US (cause Sean will always be by my side)!

We were doing the exact sailing in Sept 24, had it booked for just over a year and NCL have cancelled the whole sailing, watching yours, Parodeejay and Ben a David's vlogs has me gutted. We will do it one day lol.
Oh noooo. I saw that the Spirit was chartered. That stinks they cancelled. Definitely say try booking the next year. It is worth the wait 😊

Thanks so much. I was actually really apprehensive about this ship and I was so surprised at how nice it was. Smallest ship I have sailed on and I loved it. Definitely recommend checking it out. There are some great itineraries for the Spirit and I liked having a smaller ship in Alaska

Great tour!!! Love your B-Roll and great descriptions.. Ship tours are so much better when filmed towards the end of a trip when you really know your way around the ship. Always appreciate your creative videos and that you dont just show the rooms or places, you give great descriptions and tips that truly help someone who is researching a future cruise!! Loved this ship tour and can't wait to see this series!!! Going on our first Alaska cruise in September on the NCL Encore and can't wait to see your videos on Alaska.

Where the aft pool is was the children's pool/ water area 10 years ago. Pirates theme if I remember correctly.
I was looking at old pics and I couldn’t believe that was a kids play area. The only giveaway was the pool depth but other than that, they did a beautiful job changing that area

Love the Norwegian Spirit. It's both the smallest and oldest ship in the fleet and one of two not built by Norwegian Cruise Lines. Great video. Sean will always be with you and you must know how proud he is of all that you're managing to accomplish in his absence. Continued good health and success in all your future endeavors.

I totally understand that apprehension. I had the same. I was pleasantly surprised with how nice the ship was. Lots of sea day activities like trivia and games and loved all the ports. Totally recommend the Spirit
Things were quite good IF you have a desire for food cooked with NO spices or flavoring of Any kind............ AWFUL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I didn't enjoy the dinner buffet that much but I found all the other meals quite enjoyable. I find that across all cruise lines more salt and pepper could be used but I understand they are catering to a lot of people with different tastes and it's really easy for me to add my own salt/pepper to suit my personal taste

Just before the Pandemic my wife started to show me different travel vloggers. We started studying since cruising is something we hope to do upon retirement (I'm already there). So we have watched a lot of people and have our favorites. I was broken hearted when Sean passed and vowed to help support you so I subsricbed and we always watch together then I rewatch. So here's a little idea about us. Our regulars are you, Ben & David, Parodeejay and travel Tourist videos. There are about another 6 that are secondary depending on content. Everyone is good at something and if you add it all up you get a total picture. Stef, this was the best vlog you ever did! We got somewhat interested as we were going along but you made us really want to do this cruise! I can't wait for the next vlog!

Hawaii to Alaska sounds awesome but tricky to pack for! 😅
It was very tricky. A lot of clothes were worn more than once and laundry was definitely utilized
With it being one of the smallest ships out there, is it going to be rocky at all? I know you mentioned you didn't expereince that fortunately, but I am curious is it worse than others in comparison? Is there enough activities going on during the day?

How many decks does the Spirit have altogether?
There are technically 13 decks on the Spirit but I would say there are 12 decks because the Biergarten is the only thing on deck 13
@@seanandstefhave you ever been on the Sapphire Princess? Would you rather travel on the Sapphire princess or NCL Spirit?
@goldenblooms6672 I haven’t been on Sapphire yet. The only Princess ship I have been on is Royal Princess, which is rather large compared to the Spirit and Sapphire. I do love the Princess brand and would love to sail on Sapphire, especially now after experiencing a small ship and being ok with the motion

That’s a great question. I guess this would depend on the kids. If your kids need lots of stuff to do on the ship, this probably wouldn’t be the best fit. If your kids are into hanging by the pool and doing other less active things, the Spirit would be great for them

Well, people may be having a great time ! BUT, I was on this ship cruise about 3 weeks ago and I almost starved if not for a few of the very good desserts. The food was the worst food on a cruise that I ever Had to eat. The breaded flounder was Slimy, greasy and oily. If you know good flounder, that is as far from the way that flounder should be when cooked. Actually, flounder is NOT slimy, greasy and oily fresh out of the sea !!!!!!
Sorry that you didn’t enjoy the food on the Spirit. The food on our cruise was great. The only food venue that I thought was lacking was the dinner buffet. It wasn’t the best but the main dining room had great dinners so that wasn’t an issue. I didn’t try the flounder. Thanks for the advice to stay clear
We find the NCL ships chopped up! One venue after another, our first cruise ever in 1986 was NCL and it was great. Breakaway was the worse cruise ever. We are not planning any NCL cruises soon!
Sorry you had a bad experience on Breakaway. I usually find the NCL ships to be very well laid out. The flow is easy. Enjoy your cruises
