Great review. I got the Ioniq 6 a few months ago and love this car. Great experience for my first Hyundai, EV and new car

Chris, you’re right on the money about use case. I’m a lifetime car nut, but use a Model 3 Tesla as my commute and errands car. Absolutely the best solution for those purposes, stupid cheap to run, a full charge cost 13 bucks, roomy, easy to drive, and comfortable. But, we have other cars when fun’s required.

@@rlstrad2059 That's great to hear and why I try to share the info on both sides. What's right (or wrong) for me might be the opposite for someone else. If my family didn't need the commonality of an I.C.E. vehicle, we'd have an EV already. Even my wagon could have been replaced by an EV, as opposed to my S5, but I thought this might be the last time I could get a car that made noise like that. 😅
If I could see the future, knowing the industry would have adjusted the way that it did, I might have made a difference choice. Might have bought different stock options, too! 🤣 Thanks for sharing and for watching!

My first brand new car was a 1995 Infiniti J30t. I recently was in traffic and just knew this was a current day J30.

Chris, enjoying the heat? The Ioniq 6 is nice looking car with some good features, but I wouldn't consider it until Hyundai joins Tesla's charging network. What good is two years of free charging if the chargers only work half the time? As for the price, the Ioniq 6 is not eligible for the $7500 federal tax rebate whereas the comparable Tesla Model 3 Long Range all wheel drive is only $40k after the rebate. $15,000 is a big difference.

@@brownro214 Very true. But the fact that M.S.R.P.s are beginning to drop means they're listening to the consumer.
Man, this heat is HOT 😅, but I'll take it over all that rain we had.

The model 3 long range awd has 1.9% financing this month as well. Can't beat the price

Nice features, but the car looks like a blob fish. :(

$55k for a car that has the limits of infrastructure is a big bill. Like You I'd wait for the infrastructure to catch up

@@allanzylbert1306 Especially if it's your primary vehicle. As a second car in the household, tho, it could work wonders. Just install a Level 2 at your house and you'll be set. 💪🏾 Thanks for watching!
