- I hope you enjoy the grand finale to this 1996 Suzuki #RM250 #2stroke dirt bike restoration & rebuild I worked on over the past year and a half. It's a video made to watch all the way through, from beginning to end, so please don't just skip to the end 🙃.
So many people helped bring this project to life. Here are some of them: Suzy and Chloe from Evo-Mx supported this project with the gorgeous replica graphics and seat cover. Chris from Race Tech helped with the much needed suspension parts. Barb from Ceet Racing sent me a fresh seat foam. My friends at Breakers111 donated those cool vintage bar pads. Kevin at RWB was so kind and helped with the Wiseco & Pro X engine parts. Brian at Bolt Motorcycle Hardware contributed those amazing bolt kits. Please support these wonderful companies that supported this project:

Additionally I want to thank Tony Blazier (@TheMotocrossVault) for documenting the history of these bikes in his unbelievable archive. I used his scans to create the mockups for this build you see at the beginning of the video. Thank you to the guys at Electro-plating Specialties for taking care of all the anodizing, zinc plating and powder coating for this and my previous build. I also want to thank the very kind and humble @thetwostrokerebuilder for his guidance on rebuilding my crank. Thanks to the guys at Vital for getting me the silencer sticker measurements so Evo-MX could recreate it. Thanks to my friend Gary for teaching me how to use the Tig machine and making many of the repairs possible. Also thank you to my roommate Justin for being cool with me building motorcycles in the living room.
And finally thank you to all the student activists and people of conscience around the world who have continued every day to stand up and act against the genocide in Gaza. You're standing with tremendous courage in the face of a monster. These brave and dedicated people are our only hope for peace and justice in Palestine and beyond. This video is dedicated to you.

Although I've seen this build multiple times now, I just cannot emphasise enough, what a work of art it is!
I didn't go all out like this too. Only because the lack of tools and cash but I know what you mean it's great to get down.
Bro, this is a work of art. I can only describe this as a destroyed hero that you brought back to the stage. It looks like a movie
Thank you Bassem, you're a kind man!
In 2001 I bought this model, a machine without equal, no problems with it, it was light in weight, manageable, powerful, it had everything, perhaps nostalgia invades me...
You have given me 1 hour of pure visual art, accompanied by good music.
I told you on other occasions, you are an artist from head to toe, what you have demonstrated with this restoration is at a stratospheric level,
only have one option, stand up and applaud him until your hands hurt, you have done with this motorcycle...
it's magic, friend, and not everyone knows how to do it.
Thank you a thousand times, a job well done must be well recognized, I don't know what your next objective will be, with your permission,
I will watch this video again and continue applauding while sitting...
Never abandon these works and never stop showing them... a hug,
don't take too long buddy...
This is one of the kindest compliments I've ever received. Thank you friend, it means a lot.
@@madmarche’s right, excellent rebuild and excellent video documenting of the rebuild!
I enjoyed the entire video, I’ve rebuilt a few dirt bikes.. but not to this level.
Dude, you get mad extra points for doing the assembly in the living room. Nice bike.
Well Marc, you truly are Mad cause only a lunatic would rebuild from the ground up by repairing everything, but that's what makes you special and what draws me to your content
Thanks man the work makes you go mad
Dude I thought the video was like 20min, this hour past so fast. Incredible restoration, truly. Now it's a 15.000$ bike.
I have seen lots of restoration build on youtube this is the only build made with detailing best restoration on youtube so far i have seen i wish this was voice discussion
That's a dream....am 47 years old and now i see my bike when I was child.... congratulations for yours skills..... This bike must be in the museum..... Thanks from Greece...
I have waited a 2 months to see the rest of this bike and I cannot believe how good it turned out. WE NEED MORE BUILDS BRO!! I wish I had even a little bit of the talent you have man this is truly a work of art. I’m doing a 2001 RM250 right now and would love to pick your brain because it’s inspiring. Thank you for sharing this with us
Thanks for watching man, I hope it was worth the wait.
It's just a masterpiece of hard work and dedication!
The attention to details is off the charts. Holy moly!!! 🤪🤯
The amount of time and effort that went into this RM250 and editing this video is truly amazing. I love 2 strokes
I'm struggling what to appreciate more, the video or the workmanship. Mindblowing stuff really.
@@cbeharry68Agreed, he is truly a perfectionist 👌
the best mechanic I've ever seen
this is the most complete and detailed rebuild that I'd ever seen...
It's undeniable that zuki should be an art piece of a racing museum, BUT i'm eager to see it on a field test after the rebuild.
CONGRATS FOR THE AMAZING VIDEO AND ALL THE EFFORT RESTORING THAT BIKE, ALSO FOR STANDING AGAINST THE GENOCIDE IN GAZA
that is definitely a yamaha yz in background can't wait
🤐
thats one of the better builds ive seen in a bit !!🤟
Awesome, beautiful work! Great editing, and great cinematography. I never get over the living room rebuilds.
jesus christ , this building is atemporal , thank you ! what a beauty..
You had good form in your skills and showed good mechanical sympathy for the parts. Its nice to finally see a skilled mech in front of the camera, many before you i can hand on heart say showed inly a degree of respect that you showed this and the care to restore it. Well done
That's really kind man, thank you!
best video in summer 2024 😍
Evo Mx is the shit. That shift lever hack was unbelievable. I loved the bolt with the c clip modification.
the ending is very sad that he was found in a damaged condition, now he is new and back to his golden days, goodbye and he will be a memory for you because you restored him from 0 to 100 and he was like new again. Thank you for restoring him to like new. It's factory default, bro
Thank you for watching buddy!
長い間、待っていました。ありがとう。
Great ending!!!!!! Excellent series!!! Thank you!!!
this is the best video i ve had seen on youtube this year
This is taking it to a whole new level. Bravo.
Amazing build and fantastic video. Very well put together. I love to see an old ragged out 2 stroke come back to life.
Many RUclipsrs who rebuild dirtbike's can take an example from you!!
Atention to detail is amazing, great editing too!! 👌
Thanks Marcel!
When tightening the top bolts on the front fork i always span a piece plastic bag between the bolt and the socket to prevent it from marking. Works a treat!
That's a great tip!! I will try it next time, thanks for sharing
incredable job! Looks like RM250 revived from th past!
wow. you are an artist.
One of the best restoration I've watched. Hats off to you.
Вероятно, это самая крутая реставрация, которую я видел на ютубе)
Fantastic work 👏 👍
Never seen like this restoration video ever. one of the best video i ever seen good luck brother your true artist
from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰
Thank you my friend, i appreciate you!
just pure brilliance
Bonjour, j'ai regardé ce chef d'œuvre sur ma Tv et je doit dire que c'est bien mieux que des films a gros budget.
Je reste sans voix.
Bravo Mad Marc pour cette œuvre. 💪👋👍
Merci beaucoup Eddy!!
Ok, im impressed.😮
Filming, editing, not to mention the detail; endless detailing.,wow...
Fit finish, end result. 😊... Oh, the repairs! . . Who does plastic?🫱😌
🥂 Well done young man.
I'm speechless. Immaculate.
Amazing restoration. Too many people "restore" dirt bikes and sell them, but this is not one of those. I bought my 2001 yz 125 for way more than i should have since the prices here in Canada are so inflated. The guy had restored it, powder coated the frame, fresh top end. The kickstart broke right away, the fins on the radiators were all mashed, and the engine blew up two weeks later. Learning experience.
Your work is really admirable, you did all the details with the utmost care and your Suzuki engine is no different from a factory zero engine❤. I enjoyed watching this video.
Thank you friend, I appreciate the kind words!
this is a masterpiece, one of the best restoration videos on the internet hands down!!!
Just waaaw. What a man!
Yeah awesome build. Your attention to detail is amazing.
Placer 💪 te veo desde Argentina ❤
The attention to detail is astounding
Museum piece… anyone can throw new parts on these bikes hell that’s what I do.. But to restore the original parts is absolutely insane & amazing.. There’s nothing to say truly next level…
This guy actually restored that bike and what a great job
This is art
I've been waiting for this for so long, thank you...
What a master piece & dedication.
Best 1hr 4mins viewing. Thank you 👏❤
Thanks for watching ben
Never skip a second, what a great video n craftmanship !
Stunning work, just perfect!
I have rarely seen such beautiful work with such little means, it’s magnificent! moreover the small modifications made suit it perfectly while the style is close to the OEM well done 👌 🇫🇷🇫🇷
Thanks - i tried to keep it original looking with just a little extra
This should be on Netflix.
Man... what to say.. im rebuilding a bike now. And seeing all this work u did and knowing how much time and effort it requires to do all this detailed work makes me want to congratulate u fr the effort and techniques u use to produce such great results! The bike looks stunning. All the best! Greetings from Greece.
That's very kind Giorgos, thank you
Thank you. I really enjoyed that last 1:04:11 of my life. That bike almost looks to pretty to ride.
Great shot. No extra stuff. Interesting to watch from start to finish.))))
Absolutely stunning craftsmanship and attention to detail!!! The hours of intensive hands-on work, elbow grease and ingenuity required to pull this off is insane!!! Then add recording and editing of the documentation of this effort and you have a legendary accomplishment Sir!!!
Please tell me you added pre-mix to the fuel!!!😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬
Thank you Dirk for another very kind and thoughtful comment, I appreciate it!
Your motivation towards your projects is amazing bro, and your editing is great. I grew up on dirt bikes, and just bought a brand new 24’ Honda 250F. Excited for the next build man.
This is a work of art. If it was mine I would sit it in my living room and never ever ride it. Seeing the amount of work put into this, even though it's only a very very compressed amount, is just insane.
Thanks Geoff , i had initially planned to ride it but I don't have the heart to get it dirty
On another level , absolutely amazing watching your restorations !
Thank you man I really appreciate it!
Attention to detail bro great job and fantastic work 💯 well done 👏
Thanks Ian!
Magnificent work, as always! The ending got me goosebumps🥹😮💨
Thank you Levi!!
Absolutely incredible 💯🏁

Fantastic video. Helping me find all the imperfections on my 96 rm250. at least now i have a solid step by step on how to fix everything lol
Fantastic build as usual
Unreal my man. Kudos!
Inspirational and so relaxing, was’nt planning to see ‘till the end, magic!
Thanks Ivan, I'm happy you watched the whole thing I appreciate the kind words
Une œuvre d'art ❤
Elle doit finir dans un musée 😉
I was thinking the 96 had inverted forks. You did a great restoration, I enjoyed it.
Thanks man, 96-98 had these before they switched back in 99
Loved watching this - and also loved your music choice! Really accented it well!
Thank you.
Wow! 😍Much respect for your work!👍 Best regards from germany

This was an awesome restoration and an excellent video! Very clever tricks in solving some of the issues and making repairs without sourcing new parts. Well done Sir!!

SUPER MASTER...MOTOR BIKE INGINE....🎉❤
Amazing job!!! Cheers from Brazil!!!
Artist ❤
Классная работа, классная подача, классная музыка!
This so much more complicated then a sewing machine which most people use to describe something that is complicated and must work in a very precise way.
Super Bike 🤩🤩✨💫👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
It’s amazing, man! So many and hard work to BEST results!!! Bravo! 🤝🏼 Greetings from Russia!
i do some bikes over, now and then during wintertime, but this is some next level shit, polishing the inside of hexhead screws , and the inside of enginecovers - and i am very pleased to se that you kept the disk guards..mostly just thrown away - an impressive job!
simply a work of art 😍🔥
Hat off Sir! Amazing job!!!
Thank you jad 😊
Marc this is EPIC. Can you come to the UK and rebuild my 2000 CR80 lol
Well done mate.
