Thought this was going to be another version of the previous gamechangers I’ve seen on other channels, but this guy tied a f***ing house cat!! Props to you bud! Sum crazy sh**.
Perfect lure 😍😍😍
Great video! I will be getting some craft fur next. 👌👏👏👏
Def need these in my box!
Now that's some serious Tail!
Great fly, cheers
must learn all this stuff !!
Cool, I might try to make a creek chub with this
Nice
Maaaaan, for a minute there I thought you tied in an Advil Liquidgel to the top of that front hook shank
Enjoyed the vid, this is fly tying art! The changers that I have made have been of the Finesse variety. What is the capsule that you use on the head and is it to add bulk? Can you describe the set-up that you use to fish it? Additionally, do you have a preference toward weighted or unweighted streamers? Many thanks.
It’s a rattle
In the description
Nice tie! Any issues with hook sets or keeping fish pinned with that scud weight mounted so low on the bend? Every time I wrap lead on the bend to achieve a good keel I get nervous if it's going to cost me fish.
The best advice we can give is to use hooks that have large gaps and avoid crowding too much material towards the head. We haven't seen too many issues - only with smaller gaps
Was wondering the same. Cracking tie and nice clear video 🤙
The head is so hard 😂😂😂😂
Hi, When you said two full pieces of craft fur did you mean one white and one tan or two white and two tan?
one tan and one white should do the trick
Size for the back hook ?
what hook?
Do you use the same size chenille for the whole fly?
Yes, same size chenille typically or XL cactus/filler flash
New to fly tying so I apologize if this is a dumb question. Are there ever any issues of the fly coming apart where a cut shank is tied to a hook like in the video? I’m definitely not saying it isn’t a good method, just a curiosity question. A little bit of thread is all that could be holding that “50 winter belly tank of a fish. Thanks!
Yes, that is a possibility so using a healthy amount of brushable glue is recommended
I like to use the hobbylobby brand superglue in the thin formula it’s thinner than water and soaks into the thread forming a crazy strong bond.
It's a possibility but with tight wraps and glue It's unlikely. They're are several other ways of attaching tails or trailing hooks, personally I use articulation wire, I feel it gives better movement and I can double it over on the tie in.
@@dashippoyea that’s what I do honestly wouldn’t be surprised if the hook would bend/snap before it came undone.
