It was good to see that I'm not the only one with heavy things to be moved and no one able to come help me. And that when I pray "Well God how are we going to move this?" Then every time God shows/tells me how to get it done safely... The place is looking mighty fine!!!
May I suggest having a copper pan made for the shower. I rebuilt my shower years ago due to a leaking shower pan made of some cheap sheet goods by the builder. I had a copper pan made at a local sheet metal fabricator, put on a bed of tar paper, sprayed car body undercoat on it set the mortar bed in place and laid unglazed tile on top. No leaks since then and that has been over 30 years ago.
Oh my gosh i can't believe you just lifted that, every time I watch you do something crazy, please don't hurt yourself, it looks amazing. But take care.
Dang I thought the price of lumber had been coming down. $5500 to $25000 .That's ridiculous and I don't blame you for waiting it out. Oh Brandon Screwing everything up and 3 more yrs of it still to come. One thing for sure I can tell your britches have got alot baggier I hope your not still losing weight and your feeling better and getting stronger again. I was alittle worried when you were lifting on that big beam but you got it. Be safe & God bless you April & the girls 🙏
you might check out the shuellter system system for your shower sorry i don't know how to spell it it is what my wife and i have it is great. oh and our shower is 4 ft by 5 ft keep up the great work you are doing great !!!
The bathroom looks great! Don’t forget to show us the picture you are trying to mimic. I’m sure you will improve on this bathroom. Your work is beautiful!
Omg you can come build me a beautiful home like your anytime you sure doing a good job I am sure your amazing wife going to love the beautiful home you are building I am so glad you are back at fixing your home and not in the dang hospital stay safe and bless and merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family
I am glad that you were able to install those heavy beams by yourself. I figured if you were not successful you would not have shown it. You are good at figuring things out that is one reason I like watching your build.
lol See if I can make a little progress, my friend. Getting them beams in was one hell of a bit of progress in itself. It's really looking great BUT, PLEASE slow down and let your body heal after your surgery. Stay safe and Happy Christmas to you all from this Englishman
Awesome bathroom in the making, but I’m sure there were a lot of viewers like me were wishing we could help with those beams, but you made it, 👏 Take care and God Bless. ❤️💙💚💜💗
I was holding my breath when you were lifting that very heavy beam. It’s not been very long after your operation, and then getting COVID so please take care! I love how you have the beams as a feature though.
Man the bathroom is going to look awesome! I can’t wait to see the finale product. The lumber prices are absolutely outrageous around here to. I have been doing some work in my shop and it has been taking forever because of the cost. Keep up the good work!
Hoping you are healing nicely since your surgery Stephen. Nice work in the bathroom. It looks like it is going to be gorgeous. I watched the video twice and unless I blinked twice I missed the picture you were going to insert. Or did I hear you wrong, lol. Take care and be careful. Blessings for you April and the Girls.
I forgot to add it so I just put part of it as the thumbnail. It would take about an hour to go back and add it and re render the video. I guess I got lazy. Lol
It's amazing how far you have progressed from the days of running up and down fitting the roof!! Considering how far you have come (including the falls) you are doing an amazing job!
I have spent the last two days trying to remember a took I saw that you might like for doing the ends of your boards around the logs. It's called a super gauge. Sorry I'm putting it on this video but I thought you might want to know about it. Going to be awesome bathroom!
Hope everything is ok with you. Haven't had a video in 3 weeks. Just concern all is good. Been with you from the start and look forward to your video's
I am glad to see you being able to work at a good pace without having any side affects of your recent medical issues. I am sorry that things did not work out on your Alaska situation. Could you avail yourself of local opportunities to help out some with the finances? I know you are very frugal but having a backup income stream could help at times. The building process looks like it is moving along and moving in a positive direction. So are you looking at a late winter date for moving in? Have your doors and windows arrived yet?
Windows are going to be here sometime in late April is the last I heard. We still have a ways to go before we can move in so I’m not sure on the date yet.
Looking good Stephen! The shower is going to be amazing 😍😍😍 Good to see you are feeling better! The gallbladder surgery is a doozy but I healed pretty quickly following the Drs orders.
Good to see you back at it! We really look forward to your videos. I'm living vicariously through your build, wishing I would have done the same when I was still young enough to pull it off. Having done the whole career/suburban stick house(s) thing; now retiring and looking for our "last home"... I'd still like to build, but will have to hire most of it out as this "old" body "aint what it used to be". Then of course, the whole pandemic thing really put the hurt on our plans with costs/supply. Your T&G cost increase is insane... from $5K to $25K? I feel for all of those caught in the middle of their project. I suppose I should feel lucky that we hadn't started yet. Anyway... All the best to you! Your hard work, determination and overcoming adversity is inspiring and will pay off in a big way. Thanks for letting us live it with you.
U r really doing a great job...but is it just me...i see u r a minimalist with windows in the home...especially the bathrooms...its beginning to feel and look like a dungeon...its dark and forbodding....maybe should think about a little more light...
Wow amazing progress.
Please take things slow and heal fully.
BATHROOM Beautiful!
Thank you

I’m getting a little stronger every day. I need to get in the gym for a solid year to get back to normal.
It’s good to see you back at work on your house but don’t do too much at first, take care of yourself.
Looking good brother!

I’ve always been the type to work alone and figure it out. It may not be the best way but I’ll figure it out
@@hickoryridgehomestead9177 It is probably the best way. I am a lot like that. I would rather figure it out except maybe mechanical stuff.
That is going to look amazingly beautiful! Can’t wait to see it all finished.
So glad to have you back. You are appreciated.
You are going to have a beautiful place my Man! You are good at what you do! Well done!
Thank you.
Excellent! I can see why you were taken by the design. What a fabulous size for the shower!
Texas size!😂
Glad to see you up and going and feeling better. Be careful out there by yourself
Have a great day

GREAT GREAT job
I was holding my breath when you were lifting that very heavy beam. It’s not been very long after your operation, and then getting COVID so please take care! I love how you have the beams as a feature though.
I’m straining to help you pick up the timber. 👍👍

Assuming you have another set back. I sure hope I'm wrong. Always look forward to your video's on Mondays. Hope all is well with you and your family.
Wow, the increase in the prices of the T & G is insane! I hope you can wait it out and the price comes way down.
Wow it's awesome mate
Thank you.
Looking good!

I have one but it’s hard to get them in between the logs and chinking. The little fingers are too short. Great idea though.
@@hickoryridgehomestead9177 well I tried! Lol the old fashioned way it is then right!
Hope everything is ok with you. Haven't had a video in 3 weeks. Just concern all is good. Been with you from the start and look forward to your video's
Owsom bloke. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Merry Christmas to you as well
Hello from NW AR, just found your channel tonight anxious to follow and see the progress on your cabin...
Thank you for following along.
I am glad to see you being able to work at a good pace without having any side affects of your recent medical issues. I am sorry that things did not work out on your Alaska situation. Could you avail yourself of local opportunities to help out some with the finances? I know you are very frugal but having a backup income stream could help at times.

Hey I just saw your channel advertised on the back of a truck in Troup Texas and figured I'd come take a look!
Haha. That was me. You should have stopped me and said hello. I was actually raised there.
Your bathroom is going to be awesome!!
I'm not beating you over the head but that was not safe. I was afraid you'd get hurt again but you did a good job of getting it up there.
sometimes you just have to get it done. lol
Looking good Stephen! The shower is going to be amazing 😍😍😍
Good to see you are feeling better! The gallbladder surgery is a doozy but I healed pretty quickly following the Drs orders.
Ya'll have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year... looking forward to what's gonna happen next. ✌❤
Thank you so much. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas
Looking good and looking forward to ser the result! Coulis you by any chance show how you cut the tongue and groove out to for the log corners?
I will try to make a short video on that tomorrow.
We have not seen anything from you in a while, I hope you are doing good and will have some new videos soon
Happy Holidays
The Amish are making it in my area .
You look healthy. Is working in Alaska in your future down the road?
It could be but not anytime soon.
Where you been? Doing ok ? Last video was 4 weeks ago .
I’ve been very busy but will be posting again soon.
@@hickoryridgehomestead9177 That’s good . I know you said you had some medical issues awhile back . No relapses I hope . Take care
The shower wall will survive the Armageadon , WW 3, and Apocalysis. It took you to turn into beast mode to handle those tiny logs!🤣🤣🤣
😯👍👍👍👌
Looks good, any land for sale in your area?
There is always land coming on the market but it goes pretty fast.
Good to see you back at it! We really look forward to your videos. I'm living vicariously through your build, wishing I would have done the same when I was still young enough to pull it off. It will be pretty bright when it’s finished. There isn’t any place to put a window except in the shower.
WIth those prices it almost makes you want to use pallet wood 🤔🔨🔨.
I didn't see any drains.
As expensive as wood is getting, you might just have everything good plated. LOL
That’s true. I haven’t put the drain in yet
picture????
I forgot to add it. It’s part of the thumbnail though
👍😎📽
🇳🇱You have done that perfectly. I am very curious about the end result. Greetings from Roosendaal Netherlands Hans.🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🍀
Thank you very much!
I do not understand why you have 5" by 6" beams for one wall? Maybe when you get further down the road i will understand.
It will make sense when it’s finished
🙂👍💪
👍🇸🇪❤️
Why would you cover up all those beautiful logs
So they don’t rot in the shower
Aren't they sealed
@@robertnelson607 they are but they aren’t waterproof
Okay
