  • Caleb Williams will be the 2024 NFL Draft #1 overall pick by the Chicago Bears. This film study highlights this prospect's Pro Day performance at the USC Trojans practice facility, which we thought was terrible...but not for the reason you think.
Power Hour NFL also discusses the quarterback draft with Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, JJ McCarthy, Michael Penix and Bo Nix.

Clearly a clickbait video title. Everyone understands that pro days are a bit silly, but I don't understand how you can blame a guy for throwing to receivers he's used to. That's what the NFL and football is about in general. Every NFL QB trains in the offseason with their receivers to get familiar with them. I think Caleb's pro day, as insignificant as it was, was a good one because he wasn't trying to fool people with crazy rollouts and cross body throws. He kept everything simple to show off his mechanics as a passer. Unlike Manziel who practiced in pads and camo shorts with music blaring and people swatting at him with broom sticks. That's a facade.

They're actually not silly lmao. The combine is a little silly, but you get to watch players practice at a pro day. You get to see them around their teammates, which is important to scouts and GM's.

Nothing mimics the NFL like throwing vs oxygen! All throws at a Pro Day are terrible bc it proves nothing. Your Manziel example perfectly proves my point. It misled people.

Pro days are scripted, I get that. All the more reason to me that Caleb's passes should be more accurate. He knows who and where he's throwing so the football should be on the reciever when they break, they should not be waiting for the ball, and the ball should on the numbers.

JJ may have a high ceiling. He has some intangibles, great mentality, never rattled, leader, extends plays, can make some crazy good throws. What he needs to develop is touch, take a little steam off in certain situations. Kinda reminds me of favre, rifles the ball, wins, but will trust his arm to a fault.

I disagree. I think Caleb has an incredible arm that only few can really match. Those saying he doesnt have not watched him close enough. He is precise and his release is quick. Jayden is talented and taller but he has barely any meat on the bone. His throwing is slower. How are you going to compare stats between Caleb and Jayden when Jaydwn only had 1 good year? Not to mention Caleb has been a consistent 90 PFF grade his whole collegiate career. I get we all love hot takes, but Caleb is by far the best QB available in this draft and no it's not close. Only thing that brings Jayden in the convo is he won a Heisman. Other than that he had 2 first round WRs to throw to. You put Caleb on that LSU team and who would win? Caleb...not even close.

That’s fair. But Jayden is 210. I don’t think he’s as thin as people believe.

You say Caleb Williams isn't athletic. He had a 66 yard TD run against a fast Texas defense.

Never said he wasn’t. I don’t think he’s elite athletically, but I might be wrong.

@PowerHourNFL Caleb Williams IMO does not have a franchise qb mindset. Bloom where you are picked. Trying to call shot can alienate the locker room.
Jayden Daniels electric guy very impressive. IMO instead of making those anticipation throws, he tucked and ran the ball alot.
Drake ranks higher on leadership than Caleb and makes the anticipation throws that Jayden doesn't. Thus he is the QB1.
All three young men are tremendous prospects, It all comes down to the qb coach, O-Line, and skill positions to see each grow to their potential.
Last year I said Bryce Young is a second round qb.
Best boom or bust prospect is Jayden
      Highest Floor is Drake
Controversial impressions- I question Caleb's leadership ability. Everything else is great but can he lead men and be the face of a franchise.
