Jiyan was a doctor when Geshu Lin charged to his death. He prioritizes life more than high risk strategy back then. He only became the general after Geshu died, and so far is changed his ways. So, I don't know what the CN are smoking.
It honestly shows how having a black and white mindset isn’t good. They think “attack good, retreat bad” and then believe that retreating from a losing battle to lessen the casualties in order to regroup and fortify is a bad thing.
Those people are crazy fr.
China has some specific taste when it comes to stories and being honest while some end being good some are just garbage, those garbage ones get praise because they follow the ideals and adhere to their fantasies.
All that lead us to another problem, they have the attention spawn of a raccoon on meth, read any Mangua about cultivators, no defined power scale, the MC goes around doing the same thing over and over again, characters are introduced forgetting about others, you're reading something about a magic academy and suddenly zombies and aliens, cyborg stuff and what not, so I don't expect them to realize that the timeline of the character they decided to hate makes no sense for their hate campaign.
Hm. I think it's ok to accept the story as it is. Becouse we can't do anything about it now. They wont change it, it would be too difficult.
And I also can accept different views becouse we are different in this world.
But not to "see" and not to understand others problems is a bit sad.
I think China (what they said in the video) is absolutly right about Jiyans story.
He's story is not writen well. That's the truth and just becuse the content creators not complaining about the story in details it doesn't mean they can't see the problem. They just said "the story is not the strongest part of the game".
It‘s also just insane mentality, victim blaming and also labelling digitalised representation of survivorship and survivors guilt as "Culturally Offensive" is insane and occultish almost.
It's because of Chinese testers that CBT Crownless got nerfed and lots of cutscenes got removed.
All because they want a self insert MC who got praised and worshipped by all characters in the game
And having scenes of their waifus got beaten by Crownless or Chixia suspecting Rover to be bad seems to be too much for them to bare.
So all the things in the story that Chinese players hate now, it's because of their own players feedbacks
not quite, they complained about later scenes where the mc was still treated like shit despite having saved the city.
Did the chinese overblow the issue? Kinda yes. But it the devs that took the overkill reaction to change everything.
@@Dante1282 Exactly, Chixia was being an asshole up til the retroactive rain point (bell scene) didn't make sense and gotta say that somehow old Awu was still worse than current Lingyang and that's impressive.
The testers over complained and Kuro over corrected so I hope they learned something about the experience.
As said by Dante that's not the whole story, they kinda took the "not too trust the suspicious person" to the next level yeah, i mean kinda get what Kuro was going for winning the hearts of people through fighting for them cliche for the sake of proving your a "good" person, which was probably going to be the formula they gonna do everytime we go to next city.
I didn't play the CBT1 and don't know the whole story given from all the discussion, but idk why they removed the scene of Yangyang getting hurt would have a good context that the world is dangerous etc, as for crownless its understandable looking at the hologram crownless atm that they needed to tone him down for a story boss.
The part with giving Rover authority over the plan was ok for me since no one has any higher authority than rover due to Jinshi giving it to the MC.
Very sussy of them to freeze out the last 15 days of June, in the peak time of Wuwa too. Of ALL the months, This has to be the month where they have a problem, the month that everybody expecting to see if wuwa can beat genshin or not. Considering that gacha game live or die base on their popularity and that shows in revenue, feel really sussy when they "have a problem" that feels like a sabotage toward Wuwa. When self interest and coincidence happen, it probably not a coincidence. My tin foil hat tells me that Hoyo paid them to lock out the counting because genshin revenue is probably way lower.
People called me crazy saying this but WuWa has been sabotaged in various ways and now this tops it too lol. Not to say they didn't fumble too but the sabotage is there, from bots doomposting continuously to Hoyo's partners blocking data from public view.
💯🙌
i highly disagree because it was not only WuWa affected by this but also Star Rail with Firefly, one of the most loved and anticipated characters, coming out. Yes either way Star rail would have been number 1 in Tops however affecting their most profitable banner is not a good tactic, especially with Jade who will not make as much money on her release and that mediocre child coming in 2.4 phase 1
@@sorinamarcu5357 I mean the tin foil hat says so. I literally have no evidence and just talking shit. But MAN, really can't get that out of my head because the timing is so Sus
Including Firefly would be easy 150 mil for star rail
First of all, Yangyang isn’t a police officer. Those are the patrollers. She’s an Outrider of the Midnight Rangers, meaning she’s a military scouter.
So she can’t arrest anybody.
Also, Jiyan wasn’t even a general, but a field medic, when Geshu Lin sacrificed himself to defeat the Threnodian.
He took command of the demoralized, surviving troops and fought the TDs to retreat.
However it is implied that the Battle Beneath the Crescent was a victory, as the Threnodian was defeated there.
So, it doesn’t make any sense to complain about this, as Geshu Lin died ( so there was no one to save ), the objective was achieved ( the bad guy was defeated ), and Jiyan wasn’t a general yet.
Complaining about that looks more like an excuse than anything else.
It makes far more sense that the main issue is the bad optimization for mobile.
As the guy said, the bad guy in Yinlin story was one-dimensionally bad and yet they still complained.
So, it’s more so that they have a problem with Male Characters in general. They even complained about Scar, lol.
So, the whole culture argument as the main reason of the lower earnings there makes zero sense me. Especially when it still managed to earn 16M.
It also seems that the revenue tracking froze for 2 weeks, so there’s also that to add to the equation.
Lmaooooooo putting more real life expectations on a game character than you can your own GOV is wild
😂😂😂
China and Asia game culture is revolve around mobile players, so wuwa "low" sale in CN is probably because of the bad optimization on mobile (it still bad).
It stays cooler on my phone than genshin
Except for high sensitivity, my mobile is kinda fine if you use very low settings
Remember guys wuwa gave us a lot of freebies and still made top 5
That was the reason
this is moblie only , main revenue ww come from pc
These neck and neck numbers will elevate the games and the prime winner will be me, the player. 😎🔥
WW is just not made for mobile. The combat timing needs to be perfect. Good luck doing this if you have fat fingers and you press wrong button on screen.
However i can see genshin drop down by a lot in next patches. We all tried the new abyss thing they made and it fucking sucks.
Which is why I have a big phone
My exact thoughts. It's undeniable that as long as HSR keeps putting out good content, its turn based gameplay will always be more mobile friendly than WuWa.
And that's FINE.
chinese people seem to only want a character one dimensional it seem.. well being a great general is good sure but way too overused.. heck did i play dynasty warrior too much?
You cant sell a character if its dead. Points at genshin weekly boss.
Lol Jiyan wasn't even a general at that time. I love Jiyan (he's my fav. Character) and I understand his motivation to save lives than sacrificing them, he was after all still a medic (15 y.o too) at that time, coming from a family of medics. Geshulin's courage is admirable and I love him for that, but he was a veteran General and you can't compare the two.
I love both of them and I'll pull for Geshulin if he becomes playable, He's afterall my most anticipated character (I already have Jiyan and Calcharo ❤).
Lol that freeze is sus af
If you've neverben in the military you wouldn't know anything about battle strategy.
Not because hes a general means he shouldn't listen to the input of the others beneath him. Hes only human and not an all knowing god. He maybe a general, but The ones beneath him can come up with good strategies too.
It's always good to get the input of many people to come up with the perfect plan
China hate characters with individual thinking. They want robot character just like they are in their country.
Regarding the "Jiyan letting Rover do his job" thing, I think that people didn't understand that part of the mission. Jiyan wasn't letting Rover do his job, I believe he was testing him/her. Going to a serious life or death mission with someone you just met that you have to trust with your life in battle isn't that simple at all.
If you noticed, Rover was just giving simple strategies, but Jiyan explained them with details, which implies that he already had these ideas in mind before and that he was waiting for you to say them
Of course, this is just a theory, but if that's not the case then it's a big plot hole (for Jiyan's character writing, at least)
He was shown to be an expert and a loved/ respected general. Being part of the army since he was a teenager and successfully protecting the city for years (even when Jinzhou was lacking a magistrate)... I don't think making such plans is hard for him tbh 😅
The tower sensor had a problem

@@VxVFiction tldr : firefly banner didnt got recorded in the revenue, because the record freeze after the first 15 days of june ( maybe only affect global only revenue because logically aint no way firefly sales in global below robin + boothill)
Tectone covered it. Data was frozen for 15 days and this data is only for 15 days.
@@VxVFiction watch tectones reaction for it i think its the end of hes video ..
Of course CN prefers genshin when theyre willing to send death threats over games and theyre so damn nit picky over stuff
I dont get the idea on why you put this topic here. Its not like en dont do that either
@raihanrusli2720 I've never seen en kill cats over a character or tried to assassinate the CEO....please stop
@@devilkazumi578 so just bcs a few from cn kill cats, all of the cn kill cats ? Why stop at cn and not generalize the entire genshin or entire gacha players then ?
Do you think en community are without death threats ? Content creators are often under death threats just for saying certain characters are bad or not good enough. Fanart artists are also under death threats just bcs they draw something that toxic twittards dont like.
Congratulations for never killing a cat. But I am sure there are million of cn players that have better thinking method than you
Dont underestimate a mobile user and console user.
Why hoyoverse success its because they make a game that can be play for all console except Nintendo i guess 😂😂
I think China is absolutly right about how Jiyan story is bad writen. And just becouse we accept the story as it is right now, it doesn't mean it become a good story telling.
I understand why China is pissed off about the story. Maybe global players don't care about the story that much. They more about the gameplay. And yes the mobile problems are still there! Dodgeing system still not working on mobile/tablet well, ect. Even on a high quality device as well. I understand why someone frustrated about these things. China is not wrong right now.
But if they were the target audiance how could they change the story like this?
Can they beat genshin …
NO
Just look at how generous wuwa gacha is … if you whale you just need 4 copy of char then you can buy 2 more from shop then 100% weapon banner
While look at genshin gacha … that weapom banner is so scam
That's a factor yeah, getting a maxed out character in WuWa is nowhere near as expensive as in Genshin, not to mention double banners.
@@drekhunter agree
Nah I care about the story not only CN. They should NOT cater to only CN for a global game. Never listen to the loud minority.
But cn is the majority
Your mistake is that you don't see the obvious - global bros is a loud minority.
@@broccoli5176 also wrong .. there is no minority between global and cn since cn is just overpopulated that is why both cn and global are big
@@renjoujiCN/JP is the majority income, you can clearly see it on the sales every month. A CN/JP game (where all gacha games come from, it seems) will typically have higher sales in their respective countries compared to global. Global is literally the place of all bark and no bite.
@@Winter1145I4 but you can't call them minority when they aren't far away to each other xD like dude ..
Chart was frozen for 15 days
Should have instead put the overall from all regions instead global and cn divided.
The problem is that in the end WuWa haters will pick anything we say to rationalize these numbers as excuses.
Even then let me add some things:
WuWa has single Character banners, say what you want but the revenue being this competitive with single character banners is actually impressive, not gonna lie, Clorinde was dissapointing but she was still the character that many dreamed about, she ran with Alhaitham and a new 4* so there's that, Sigewinne might be dogshit but she is brand new dogshit so people will pull for her and I don't even need to make an argument for Furina, the only thing that got hurt in this patch was the weapon banner of the second half because the first half was stacked.
WuWa is cheaper, same prices, same amounts to pull BUT less pity required and no scummy tactics on the weapon banner, now don't tell me that it doesn't affect it at all because if we say that 10000 poor bastards had to buy the 20$ pack because they went short of the 90 pity that's easily 200K, not hard to believe in a game with 60M players honestly, now imagine how many toped up because they didn't get Clorinde weapon or Furina sword? yep exactly, not to mention that 70% of fontaine is C1 and C2 bait xD.
The console market, I hope Kuro is about to announce the game on consoles because the market isn't a few thousands, and unless Sony for example shows up with their scummy bs I know for a fact that most of my friends in Genshin that play on console top up on mobile, my brother even asks me to buy him the BP and welking (he doesn't have a PC) because it's cheaper on Gplay or directly on the top up page.
The China thing against Jiyan was something I heard but I didn't think it was this bad, but seeing how they behave (bunny suit event flashbacks, Zhongli flashbacks, Wanderer flashbacks) I know that they can be on the extreme side, personally I would try to keep things friendly towards them but also I would take the chance to give an appreciation to the global community, Sanhua back tattoo style, better localization since the global side seems to be more appreciative of their game and what not.
There's one risk with Chinese games and that's how developers seem to bend the knee to their tantrums but hopefully Kuro won't fall for that.
you gonna be downvoted if this reddit by genshinshill lol
What we need to learn is that Genshin has a majority child fanbase that get hooked on bright colours, easy to understand story plots and simplified combat kits. Wuwa on the other hand is more for adults given the 16+ rating with most of them not being as addicted to screen time unlike children. Every kid plays Genshin while not every adult plays Wuwa nor should a child actually be playing Wuwa.
@@jacobmoore7378 the Fontaine story was good but still easy enough for a child to understand. Also most of those death scenes were censored plus the orphan getting taken and put into slavery trope has been done in children’s media.
It seems kids see black and white while grown-ups see grey
And I see colors
WuWa is nice if only the perfomance wouldnt be so bad at times. Also why cant people like GI and WuWa according to some CC?
my man, jianxin jiggles got nerfed.
im disappointed as jianxin main, they stealth nerf my waifu😩
why are we saying "china hates wuwa" that's some bullshit, if wuwa was disliked the bar would be fcking red not green, this is like the same mindset as saying "if the gacha game isn't in the top 5 highest grossing gacha game then it failed" no china doesn't fcking hate wuwa in the slightest, the decrease in sales compared to global COULD be because of the insane bugs and bullshit that occurred on mobile AND PC, but the fact that it remained on top even after all that proves china CLEARLY doesn't hate wuwa.
Have you not watched the video and the explanations on why some players would hate it? your argument 'they make some money so it's loved' is also stupid. when GLOBAL make more than the culture who is well known for playing this type of game on mobile religiously what do you think it means?
WW shit on mobile so income will surely be less .
