let's not forget that the characters have a wide range of expressions, they're very expressive, and they're all unique and the 3d models match their illustrations as well, wuthering waves ain't a copy, it is it's own game. the overall drama is very funny ngl hopefully the mintpickers don't brigade you

We all know!
WW is not restricted by an elemental reaction system. So you can use any character you want without worrying about what team comp to use. You can even solo holograme(extremely hard) with 4* characters.
The only time you really worry about the character element is what element is boss resisted to.
True, and some mfker mintpickers are just "Bad Game, No Elemental Reaction" you should go to elementary instead, is what I would say to them
@Enol_A4 I'll also add that sure Elemental reactions were fun at first, but after doing over and over again, It got boring real quick. All the characters, in a sense, are the same characters with just different designs and animations but ending doing the same thing BECAUSE.... of the elemental reaction system. But that's my take on it. But if people want to enjoy that, they can if they want.
Yup I did the first stage of heron on my Aalto with shitty echoes, no wavebands and a free to play weapon. Couldn’t do stage 2 because my damage was too low. If you want to make it work you need to know both the character and the fight inside and out

even without elemental reaction there will always team comp almost in every game like dmg type, buff type,combo etc

you forgot the animation whenever you get a character in gacha
Sams in Solo leveling, when ever you get a 5* or SSR there is always an animation which is cool
There's actually more that you could've listed so let me just add these here.
*Grappling hook* with it's cool down and utility it feels more of another extra skill alongside echo skills
*Dupes on shop* yes we can purchase dupes of regular 5 star characters and even the featured limited 5 star( although on a limited time as well)
*End game content* Genshin is notorious for having almost non-existent end game content besides Abyss while WuWa's CBT2 alone probably showed 3-4 types of possible end game contents, again it's just CBT2
*Character gacha animation* so not only does WuWa's 4 star characters have burst animations, but both 5 and 4 star characters have gacha summon animations, not a new concept for gacha games but definitely a "Genshin would never" moment.

As for characters dupes not only are there 4 stars there are 5 stars as well more than just 2 characters in ww that u can buy
There are many people who tend have completed all the quests and some find the quests boring that's why they yearn for end game content
Both game has in game cutsence but only one of them has a summoning cutsence that being wuthering

Paimon was Genshins biggest mistake. Honkai is so much better without the flying baby turning any story into a pg8 version.
its funny in genshin you can play as a literal god that fought in wars but you still get tired for running for a couple of miles.
Plus the fact that those gods are nerfed in canon power when you obtain them to make them reliant on supports or elemental reactions. In WuWa your average single 4* can solo just based on your skill at combat.

You just have to say one sentence about the game that is different from Genshin, is already enough.
So far, while there are a ton of quality of life improvements over genshin, the world and story are a giant miss. Character designs due to the subtle color palette are kinda bland. but the combat is really good. I'm struggling to get through te first couple hours currently

There's a bunch of dumposition in the Early. Our MC is self insert trash isekai harem protagonist that everyone know how strong we are. And that scar guy? i get excited when he tell the story about sheep and the Shepard cuz it's show how dark human in this world can be and He want us to join him but why tf he use domain expansion to fight us? It's doesn't make sanse. And i still don't understand....what is our MC motivation? What is his goal? In Genshin we know that Aether want to find his sister...but what is the goal of wuwa MC? To get his memory back? It's so fucking lame bro... it's just doesn't touch my heart, I can't relate and Feel empathy toward him. I think i like CBT 1 story more...where Chixia Feeling more suspicious of MC Even pointing a gun at him Compared with this self insert harem protagonist version

Just gonna say this but most mc in gacha games starts as not having memories at first like PGR, blue archive, Alchemy Stars, and HSR it's rare that an mc has memories of his/her past like aether from genshin and Kianna from Honkai besides these 2 games I don't see an mc that has memories before you start the game

The skill animation camera is incredibly annoying for me in Genshin sometimes. Definitely hoping WuWa will have an option to turn it off.

i just wish the Echoes system leaned more into pokemon-style creature taming where each Echo had its own power/ability you could harness in combat, ie. like a pet system.
Instead they somehow made it into yet another genshin-style artifact system for substat building with all the same RNG nonsense.
Also farming Echoes may not cost stamina but IMO it costs something worse: Time. You have to run around the entire map farming them. Imagine having to spend 1-2 hrs each day on Echo farming when in other games you just spend stamina (which regenerates even when the game is off or you AFK) and only take up a few minutes. And at the end of the day it STILL doesn't matter because you still have to spend stamina anyway to level up the Echoes since obviously no one in their right mind would leave an Echo at lv0.

True, and I'm sure many cbt2 testers would point that out to Kuro Games, if I were them I'd keep the same system since it's already a more unique "artifact" type system than what Genshin has.
So instead of an overhaul to their echo system they should just implement a sub-stat reroll system, what they could do to entice players to farm a little more and collect more echoes is to have an exchange system wherein we can sell/dismantle unwanted echoes and use the by-product of it to purchase re-roll material that can change the substats.
They can even implement a sub-stat selector but at the cost of more echoes of really high rarity and is only purchasable in a small limited amount per month maybe 3-5.
I think that's fair enough if they do decide to do something like that and me personally I'd choose such a system rather than a very limiting rng/luck based farming method that could lead to weeks or months of not getting anything useful at all.
Actually there're two ways of farming echoes: open world enemies and "domain" Idk how it's called in WW. The Domain like requires Resin.
It's both. Each echo has its unique ability that u can imply them into combo, but it also comes with rng substat. And for daily, no, there is chance you get echo drop from the domains (which is daily and consumes stamina), hunting echo in open world is just for the bald malders who want perfect stats, and none of both ways guaranteed you a good echo. Cbt only lasts for 1 month (? I think) so echo grinding is really a lot of works, but once ww releases i dont think its gonna be much of a problem
Each echo DOES have its oen ability. Each one has its own unique use animation. The first one equipped is your character skill, the other 4. Act as stats

wait till you see western ccs catching up because they didnt finish the beta yet, the echo system is so grindy in the endgame is ruins everything else and im not kidding, the chinese community is hating it so bad is unreal, every stat has like 6 spreads you can get, if you get bottom crit for example is ruinned because it cant increase, the calculations put it on something like 500 of each echo to get something barely decent, most western ccs are turbo sucking WWs rn for mechanics that exist in other gachas and many of them like tectone and mtashed already quit the beta pretending is to not burn out, they didnt even reach the endgame, i hope the game improves but the endgame mechanics are very very very grindy.

@@8Darthvaldo im guessing you are trying to get that .001 stat spread because theres no way you didnt get a great set on him by now, i already build furina navia and xianyun with stat caps and furina is top 1% lmao do you even need them doe? you can slap abyss the hardest content with a literal team on bad artifacts, a streamer called necrit beat it as a new player trying it for the first time literally with a bottom tier team with some characters on +0 artifacts and no spending, he almost got discouraged of trying because chat told him it was too hard... WWs endgame bosses one shot btw this with good gear, youll need either the best gear or just perfect parry everything to clear, now imagine if getting the best artifacts in genshin is this hard with more rng on WWs echoes, crit for example can roll on 6 different base crits almost doubling for the last one and so does every stat, they cant be augmented so you are screwed if it rolls bottom crit, this is the mechanic people is hating, on genshin you can go over the top on artifacts which is what you want im guessing and literally solo the abyss with neuvillete without a team even, on good rolls you can go over 70% crit and 200% crit damage, this without max investment, it aint that hard to get stat caps in genshin, not sure how much stats you are aiming for doe.
Funny anecdote. Hoyoverse third game HSR has mostly fixed all the problems mentionef here. Its not open world but because of the stsr wars space setting it can show a waste amount of different stories and ideas without feeling out of place

Edit : The only downside as of right now with this game is the echo system. RnG kinda bad because u need to farm the echo and it's not guaranteed also the problem with echo's substat its bad for casual player because no one wants to sit for 6 hours/day just grinding, if u think it's not that bad keep that in mind 1 characters needs 5 echo with correct substat also just because u get correct subs doesnt mean it will leveled up to the max, no one wants to play with 0.5/200 crit ratio stat isnt it just hope they'll found a way to make the game more attractive for casual and hardcore gamers. Just my opinion 🤷♂️
Hmm, personally I think Genshin is no better than this lol. You could literally farm an artifact domain indefinitely in Genshin and never get an artifact of the correct set, with the correct main stat, AND sub stats that roll well. Not only do good sub stats rarely come around, they even more rarely roll well. I just don't see how Wuwa is worse tbh. At least here you're not forced to farm at a snail's pace by that darn resin limit.

120FPS is a massive W for the whole game. Man, I have a 3090 and I can't event play 'that G-game' on 120 FPS if not even further. Man I have games on where I can run on 600FPS but nah, the company has to be a bitch and limit it to poor 60FPS. My eyes get sour from all those low frames. So, yeah. I agree going below 120FPS is criminal 👌😂

I have an opposite experience with 3070, what settings are you running. Mainly because of fps drops, like I get to 120 normally but it dropping under 40 every few minutes (tbh it feels weird running Elden ring at high and have better performance than WW).

Sorry, but echoes are not better than artifacts. You have to spend 1-2h to have a chance to get them, and then you need to pray they have the correct main stat, and then you have to use exp to "reveal" the substat, and pray that substat rolled good. I'm not sure how this is better.

It was the game from the start at beginning 🤷🏻♂️ Genshin now in 2023 2024 being a lot change give a lot of Primogams and they put event there give free outfit 4 stars character is so pretty outfit Tectone when he trying pulling weapon Diluc he must at the start the game at beginning haven't completed cities explore chests and not complete main story quests the first city is Mondstadt and Liyue so he have weak present if pulling character or weapon

The reason why I love this game because of the physical design from the most of characters are adult. I tried Genshin 2 or 4 times but I can't no longer playing with the kids stuff, also the color is really vibrant. My eyes hurt 😅
Well tbh i am mostly a competitive player in 1st person shooter games like apex and cod so more fps on those games are really needed but for games like genshin or wuwa where is totally casual, even if it has hardcore content is still doesnt compete to a pvp shooter in the slightest, so getting more fps on these kind of games is not a big deal, 60fps is alright since there isnt much going on in these games so not a big win if u ask me

1:35 About the echoes, in my humble opinion, i feel that the rng is way worse than genshin. I already hate how rng-heavy genshin is, but ww has way more layers of rng to it. Sure it is free to farm but you could be doing that forever and even longer than genshin. Im worried that i would get burn out faster

Echo farming RNG can be mitigated by coming into your friend's world. Its faster to farm and you can always rotate to each other's worlds when the desired mob/boss is on cooldown spawn time
I'm not sure why you'd be farming *longer* than in Genshin. Considering that stats are 100% RNG in Genshin, you could in theory do the same domain 500 times and *never* get a CRIT rate circlet that rolls CRIT DMG, for example. I've done hundreds of domains at this point and still struggle immensely with getting my characters decent CRIT stats. And it's not something I can grind because I'm limited to only a few domain runs per day because of the resin limit. As far as leveling artifacts versus echoes, it's the same situation in Genshin because you need to farm (spend resin) to get fodder. So in my opinion, Wuwa sounds on par if not better...
@@MJDanvers You don't need to spend resin to get fodder. There's literally route maps online you can spend to farm up investigative points that drops artifact fodder for you.
Yeah, all I heard from youtubers for a while was that you'd need to use stamina to get fodder but I did finally hear someone mention what you're talking about. It sounds so much better tbh. Although I was under the impression the materials will run out eventually and in late game, you will have to use stamina. Is that true?
@@MJDanvers No, they don't run out. It resets on a daily basis and you still don't need to use resin.
Ok, so the only difference is that Wuthering waves makes things easier, as well as some other things.
Take some one who has not played either game, have them play an hour of each, and they say they just played the game twice. Heck A wind based character with a spear, never seen that before. You can even find carbon copies of characters, the video I saw from Ganshin was called Gaming, and from Wuthering we have Lingyang.

Take my word, it is not even going to live up to half the hype it has right now as of 15th May. Our attachment to Genshin is not only just materialistic its just emotional. And not to forget Genshin is already 4+ years old now, so to compare it with a new game is jist funny for the new game.

it will do well first weeks and go down because of how annoying is to play on mobile and since it competes on the mobile market it will go down to either the bottom spots of the top 10 or to 15th, pgr which is made by the same company is very good but is very bad to play on mobile, it loses its niche on the market because of that and most chinese gamers are mobile players, pc is barely a hting there, they would need to do console release too, btw chinese players are on fire rn because of how bad the endgame grind is, is so bad they are already saying it will die on that system, if they dont fix the echo grinding it will surely kill the game, most western ccs like tectone and mtash didnt finish the beta because they are as casual as the people they attack all the time.

Not defending Genshin but you all are too high on copium if you think this Genshin clone and Tower of Fantasy downgrade/sidegrade has any chance. Not to mention that ZZZ is releasing AT THE SAME TIME and Genshin get's a new map/story quest and Arlecchino who everyone is waiting for. Star Rail will probably have something good as well. At least ToF released during a big draught in Genshin so it had a small chance but as soon as Sumeru dropped it started dying HARD. No matter how good or bad WuWa is it has no chance. A Genshin clone will suffer the same fate as other Genshin clones. The only recent successful gacha was Nikke and that's because they did something different. They ditched censorship and invested in coomer stuff. WuWa has the same censorship as other Chinese gacha games so it doesn't even have that going for it. DoA.

Game on launch for my experience (for pc) is extremely disappointing.
All this aside, Wuthering Waves is a very clear bootleg of Genshin that didn’t even make an attempt to cover it up. Genshin is the OG, and Genshin is the OP.
People play Genshin for its world, lore, story, writing, and characters. Wuthering Waves could NEVER compete in any of these aspects with the teams of HoYo.
You can keep crying about Genshin as much as you want, but it will never make Wuthering Waves better.

-WuWa has better exploration.
-WuWa has better quality of life, no need to go to the statue to change element.
-WuWa has better scenery with nice architecture and feel relaxing, genshin buildings feel cramped.
-Each WuWa NPC has different model, in genshin even two adeptus that is important in archon quest got pathetic npc model.
-Rover talk more often than traveler.
-All character in WuWa even non DPS still have enough dps to solo strong enemy quickly without DPS build, genshin dmg dealer like Amber with damage build can't even kill mitachurl quickly with her normal atk.
-You genshin dickrider keep crying and yapping about your beloved game's story but it will never make genshin better. If you really loves your genshin so much, why don't you tell us how good is hydro traveler?
I forgot to mention that WuWa weapon banner don't have 50/50 lose, reach the pity you get guarranted weapon you choose and all banner took less pity compared to genshin.
Worst chest in WuWa give more reward than genshin, it give 5 astrite (primogem if in genshin) and the tides (fates if in genshin) cost 160 astrites. While worst chest in genshin give no primogem at all.
Not to mention they give us 5 star selector.
It's just a facts that WuWa is an upgrade from genshin impact. Just surrender, you keep embarassing yourself. Even if somehow genshin story got better, that's only thing genshin can proud of and nothing else.
