tru i exclusivy use xianyun, all the movment issues he talked about are resolved with her especially at C1. shes easily the best mover in the game so theirs no point using anyone else.
Genshin combat: bosses have so many invincibility frame for maximum stall experience while in WuWa you can interefere enemies thru parries to speed up the battle
Newer genshin bosses are morelike solving puzzles to fight a training dummy. I missed bosses like raiden, childe and andrius where you actually have to hit the boss and not a part of the boss

Seeing that we get 6 wishes of each type from the shop per month, that's 72 wishes a year. Assuming that soft pity begins at 70, this will guarantee us one "free" exclusive character, weapon, and standard character/weapon just from the shop. So that's kinda nice
1 free character per year is nice? nah, it is good to have pity, dev have to make money. you have to pull to get the pity currency, no pull, no pity currency, no "free" 6 wishes per months, it is the same as genshin fate balls in paimon pity shop, it is standard system by now, every game must have this.

You need 600 pull currency to buy the 10 pulls that reset every month but R1999 lets you get exactly 600 pull currency via weekly mission, 150 currency a week. So everyone essentially gets the monthly shop 10 pulls for free without needing to pull on the banners for the currency (assuming they don't blow the currency on random stuff in the shop). R1999 has some of the best gacha i've seen tbh. It's like gacha that actually wants the player to get what they go for, lol.
One thing that I notice is that you can swap characters in and out while they are swimming, in the middle of the air,… and when they are in their attack animation you can swap to the other characters and the animation still remains. For example: Encore’s core passive (idk what that called in WW) is consuming her gauge then she releases a nuke after charging for a while and in the middle of the charge you can swap character, Encore will still be there on the field. That goes the same with Echoes
Actually its not 3 5* characters. Those 3 are rate ups. There are 2 more 5* characters in those Beginner and Standard banners. And you can get character duplicates in the shop too up to 2 duplicates each including Limited banner character.

It's only a copy if you can compare them by over 50% imo. WuW and Genshin cannot be compared. Genshin is beginning to look ghetto compared to this game. I hate to say it like that since I'm a whale. But they are incomparable at the core and mechanically.

Paid shill CCs and braind drained GI players are just insecure. The only better in GI as of now are the esthetics of the world & the background music . GI is more colorful and background music is better for me but the rest are just way better than GI. All the quality of life I wanted Hoyo to give in GI is in WW.
I actually like the idea of the combat being mechanically complex compared to the typical E-Q-Swap. It's hard to learn, but opens the door to way more interesting skills and combos, and means I would be way more interested instead of how I generally try to avoid fights in GI because I find them a chore.
I hope this game gets very big, so that the genshin team is forced to innovate more, i love the story and world design in genshin, but a lot of the gameplay aspects (and rewards) feel like they are stuck in the past. Hopefully with more open world gacha games coming out to compete, mihoyo is forced to do new things with the game
After CBT2, I am pretty pumped. I have been playing Kuro games for awhile now and love their style. I feel that if they keep pace content wise with their other games, Genshin is in trouble.
Can't wait for WW and I don't even have much hope left for Genshin. But I don't agree with some points here. I mean - all those about exploration... Why even taking ease of exploration as a positive?... If going by this logic - best would be ability to appear anywhere whenever you want. How boring... In game really most important are limitations. They create experience, challenge and satisfaction, like discovering open world. Abilities to travel needs to be balanced, not just - the more the better... NO! My Fren just recently complained to me about 'improvements' in Genshin to travel faster in some areas, how they take away a lot of experience they had in the game previously. I can't judge how it is in WW, but I hope for interesting open world, not just super fast travel that will make the world super fast boring. I also don't agree about 4*s. To be fair, I see people very often telling that new 4*s require c6. No idea where this myth and nonsense is coming from, there is nothing like this. Much more often we are getting good 4*s that are alright starting from c0, or are not very good no matter the cons, than situation as you're saying - they need c6... I even think that older characters needed cons more. And if you played Genshin a lot, you should know well that some 4*s are great. So what was this even about?... hmmm
i'll say, as scummy as Genshin locking exploration QoLs behind character gacha is (Kazuha double jump, Furina walking on water, Yelan's dash, etc), i like how the different characters has something unique for the exploration. really hoping WuWa would animate general movements uniquely for different characters - however unlikely it is.
Well, there is a character named Alto, whom as a mechanic where you can move thru his skill for a Yelan type wind movement. He's a 4 star, and with his c1, you can use it every 6 seconds or so. Of the characters I have though, they don't seem to have unique movement, but I only have about 5 characters for now. Also, there are a few echo that you can use for movement.

I guess i'm also unfairly comparing the two games' roster as well, and also i'm way too used to explore Genshin's open world with characters with movement skills i forgot most other characters pretty much explore normally. Still, looking forward to how WuWa spices up its explorations.
@@Dojafish in Genshin? Those characters are technically exploration QoLs, even though that's not all there is to them. They have features that makes exploration easier, faster, smoother, more convenient, more seamless, and/or less tedious. Nothing wrong about enjoying the exploration without these characters -- in fact, i salute you if you do -- but saying these characters are not exploration QoL is just wrong. And the fact that Genshin only has 1 exploration QoL that's not locked behind characters from the limited banner and is not area specific, but is still locked behind Inazuma reputation quest, just makes exploration not great. I feel like with whole capturing monsters and cool attacks this game might pull away players from Palworld more then from Genshin. I will be still playing Genshin as i don't see the big appeal in what you showed us. Main reason is propably that i like Genshin characters more. And yes weapon banner sucks in Genshin, i think i only pulled once on it (f2p btw) when it had Yelan and Hu Tao weapons (both being worth getting). I got the bow i needed and my Yelan is c4 so yeah i still want to get ger to c6 and maybe get Neuvillette higher too. Still i don't have much to play games nowadays ans Genshin (once you explore everything) gives me that peace of mind - i just log in, spend resin and do dailies or events and then i am free to go about my daily life. So this is what i do like about Genshin. SURE there's room for improvement but they might improve a thing or two too. Petting pets is not what i want in games anyway. Though once i get bored of Genshin Wuthering Waves might be worth checking out. But yeah not huge fan of grinding monsters for drops. Been there, done that, still remember the brainless hours in MU online and other games and i think i want something else and if i need to grind in WW then i'll pass.
You know if only Genshin made all the necesaary improvements through the years, WuWa might not have been able to have any advanatges over Genshin besides combat at all. But sadly the reality is that Genshin now having a true serious competitor(screw ToF that one doesn't count lmao) their system that looked godly when they were the only game in this genre is now being exposed. Solid proof is that imagine missing a measly "skip button" for more than 3 years now while WuWa just outright implemented it, that tells a lot tbh and we're just talking about a function that should be readily available on almost every game by default.
i wonder if wuthering waves will have the same story problems as genshin? i hope it leans more towards the jarilo VI story in starrail where you have a main group of characters you are with the whole time, and lesser playable characters who still show up multiple times in the story and play a decent role. genshin have so many playable characters who show up for a quest or 2, then basically have no relevance in the story anymore, even if they are 5 stars. wuthering waves have the chance to not repeat a lot of the problems that genshin have in its story quests. if the game will have character quests then i hope the playable characters will be the main focus in their story quest, and not npcs.

The title says nothing about being a "Genshin killer". Just like there's a difference between calling a game directly "better" than another vs simply pointing out specific things in one game that are done better than another game, calling a game a "Genshin killer" and pointing out specific points about Wuthering Waves that are executed better than in Genshin is not calling it a "Genshin killer." To put it in your words, please stop these types of comments already. There is nothing wrong with comparing and contrasting two different games. In fact, assuming you watched the whole video, this video also specifically also points out things that Genshin does "better" than Wuthering Waves (even if I may not agree with them personally). So this is not at all a video claiming Wuthering Waves to be a "Genshin killer." They are simply comparing the two games and aspects that each one does better than the other, which is entirely justified as they are heavily similar games and will be competing against each other.
Great video, I liked how you pointed out things that each game does better than the other. The only thing I will say is, I really hope Wuthering Waves doesn't cater too much to the casuals and full commits to more complex, difficult combat. While it is a fair argument to say "It's not everyone's cup of tea" and hold the opinion that the simpler combat in Genshin is a good thing, I just hope the games stay separate in their own categories, one catering to the casual players who prefer simple combat (Genshin already does this well) and Wuthering Waves catering to the hardcore players. Either game trying to satisfy both crowds will satisfy nobody, and I think it really is best that they each stick to their own audience and style of combat. There can exist a game each for both types of players, and this way if each game just sticks to one, they'll be able to make that single type of player more satisfied than if they tried to appeal to everyone. That's not to say I disagree with your point in the video, I can see where you're coming from and appreciate it when you look at both sides of the debate between simple vs difficult combat, since there's players of both types and as such will like or dislike Genshin/Wuthering Waves as a result. I just hope the two games don't try to tread on each others' toes.

it is developed by Kuro games but it is learning from genshin and covering for what is genshins weakness, thats why people think its a genshin kiiller, but reality is genshin has reached that point that it will not be easily dethroned by such games, i am a fellow PGR of Kuros (Jp version) and Genshin veteran myself since both their releases, i will admit wuwa got some cool mechanics and details tho And it reminds me more of nier and elden ring but features are similar to a gi . lets hope it doesnt fell off like tof

So Gacha is identical in costs? 160 primos and 160 whatevergems. That is a worthless comparison in itself. It needs more information for this. Genshin gives 60+some primos a day via daily and unreliable hoyolab stuff. So you can expect 1 pull every 2,6 days in f2p. That is a very small amount for currently running gachas. How many whatevergems does wuthering waves give at the moment on a calculable free basis? This can be dailies, weeklies, seasonal and log in stuff, as long as it is a reachable reoccurring amount. Does wuthering waves give 60 as well? Because if the amount is different each pull can take longer or will be achieved quicker. And for p2p what do whatevergems costs? One genshin pull costs 2,60-2,50 (depending on how much they whale you) so a ten roll is 25$, a guaranteed random five star (1x hard pity = 90 pulls) is 225$ and a guaranteed banner (with tremendous bad luck of 3x hard pity = 270 pulls) is 675$. Making genshin the most expensive gacha currently running. Its nice that they have hard pity at 80, making it sligthly quicker in pulls. But how does wuthering waves compare in $? Or in other words what do the p2p whatevergems cost? Is it the same or different? ...Providing the biggest and smallest fee would suffice, I can do the calculations.

Looking forward to this I like open world, I like collecting characters too with Genshin style of combat as well I don’t like turn based so I left stair rail and aside from Genshin I don’t know of another mobile game that has its style. I’m hoping WuWa can give me the break from Genshin that I need as I sadly feel rather fed up with it and its repetitive nature.
As of now, elements arent that important. Basically there are "reactions" but they are more like buffs. When two elements "react" you get a buff depending on the elements. These buffs increase charged attack, skill, or burst damage. There are more effects and they are dependent on which elements interact with each other. I will try to explain more in a future video, unfortunately its not explained in game.
Element is just for Weakness / Immune to certain enemies.. Character Element interactions are gone and now replaced with Intro/Outro Skill... When the bar on the left of HP is full, changing character will cast their Intro/Outro skill. Depending on the character, the Intro/Outro Skill will be different... Some heals, some give time stop, some give Ultimate Energy

Here are things that genshin are better at: 1. The music: The music is sooooo awosome, the different music in different regions represent those regions really, really well. The bosses music and battle music is soo good too, they really just give u that very suspense feeling.(The devs spend a lot of money in there) 2.The storyline: I know dialogues are really annoying and u can't skip them in Genshin but overall (if u do pay attendtion)genshin's main Storyline is Great. Not only that the character storyline and world quest can really tell u a lot of stories, allowing u to understand characters and thing better. I always feel awe after i finish the a story. 3. The character designs: The character designs in genshin are really good and there is just so much detail in a character, and u evenually would be able to understand a character better as u can unlock more dialogues. The character desgn in genshin are just getting better and better. Overall Genshin is really awosome, it just requires time to play the gacha system kinda sucks cause F2p can't get a lot of priogems(In game curereentcy that u use to get knew characters). Other then that the game is good
I think character designs are subjective. Honestly I prefer kuro's design because they are kinda simplistic. Hoyo's design feels way too overwhelming. And they reused the same character models for years
So you played Wuwa beta and listened to every music ? You played more than the first chapter of Wuwa main story ? You read all the dialogue and back story about Wuwa characters ? I mean if its not the case how can you say one is better than the other ?
This game is more similar to ToF in all the points that are addressed than to GI, the 4-star GI characters that are most useful are those that do not need to be on the field and the majority are there from the beginning. I think that as time goes by the 4 star characters in this game will not continue to be as useful with the powercreep that accompanies these games.

I think its going to be really good. Overall, it feels way better than Genshin. Considering this is only the closed beta 2, there is still much more improvement to be had with the game.

I play on mobile and don't have a pc. I hope this game is casual friendly. In terms of combat l prefer simple play, I like to relax when playing, so I don't like characters like bow users dependent on aiming in combat, I skipped Alhaitham since I don't want to spend the time of thinking of his mechanics to optimize his damage, skipped Liney I don't like charge attacking, skipped Wriothesley same reason as Alhaitham. I really don't like having too much to think about optimizing damage by monitoring hoops like the Duke 's hp level, I rather use Ayaka, my work already gives me more than enough hoops to think about.

Must of you are happy with the skip button, ignoring the story and complaining after about the story being "bad''. This way some games doesn't add it in order for you to follow thr story. How to do you think people love gensh story, it just because you didn't have the choice and fall in love with it unlike PGR. This is now people start following PGR story and judge it as ....AMAZIN!
That's also why every Hi3 players destroyed Genshin story lovers, pushing them to change the argument to "but the lore !!!". And yes Hi3 have a skip button just in case you didn't know. I personnaly prefer to have the choice just you know in case i personally don't like the story like in Genshin.
How can you be an intermediate player if you played only 4 hours? Climbing: here the WW devs where simply too lazy to implement a climbing animation. Furthermore, it's just irritating that transversing OVER a mountain is always faster than circumventing it on even ground, or some compromise between those. Every Character has the same vertical movement options: less difference between chars, less incentive to get and other other chars that your preferred team; ...a minus, not a plus in my book. Swimming: Is this a satire? In you video you're not fast than GI sprint-swimm, drain your stamina, and then drown. Falling: Same a climbing:de-valuating smart movement and route planning. And you have to be pretty low-level to die from any building in Mondstadt, and not deploy you glider and not initate a plunge attack. Skipping dialog: that's a good change; although you can speed up the dialog in GI, you can't really skip it, and it happens that you talk to the wrong person and has to click through several lines of dialog. Unlimited stamina: nice, but IMHO also takes away from the exploration. In Addition: you seldom have to walk a long time in GI (and most other such games), thanks to teleport points. 4 Stars: I like the GI 4 Stars, you can play the whole game just with 4 Stars; maybe the WW 4 Stars are more powerful in relation to mobs, but this points to harder mobs already being planned. More details to NPCs: That's good, although I don't see that much difference to the way GI treats NPCs with a function or a dialog. Petting animals: That's nice; I hope they implement this in GI too if they've got some free dev resources. Combat: So it's more like a mix of GI and HI3 combat? Looks good, but it's a matter of taste; for me, it's too hectic and demanding on timing and observation. You're aware that the lock-feature is irrelevant in fights against single enemy like you showed them in the video, and makes fighting easier and positioning less relevant? Again, a matter of taste. Echo: a) intriguing idea, b) probably a terrible grind and the time-gate system of this game. Gacha: GI has a beginner banner too, GI gives your your favored weapon guaranteed, too, albeit only after maybe one 50:50 fail, and give you free wishes by just playing; so the ONLY differences are "no weapons on the character banner" and "pity on the weapon banner" - but those ARE good improvements, IMHO. Did you do the statistics: Average waiting time to get a certain weapon or char just by playing the game or average money spent to buy it? And a related point: do you have any idea how important the 5 Stars and personal weapons will be? Will it get mandatory to pay up to advance in the game or will everything be beatable with random drops and free pulls? I do agree that GIs landscapes are more spectacular and beautiful, but WWs can improve, and the way they are more is soothing to the eyes. And two last ones: are any controllers supported and are there coop options?

You know that.. pretty much the only time I hear or see" Genshin killer" it's just a youtuber. Not really people in the comments or people who are excited, talking about the games.
It can't beat genshin for those unrealistic effects like 1- that rope should only work if aimed at an object 2- no double jump 3- slow exploration speed so it can help players admire the in-game world 4- increase the chances of dying like increas the fall dmg and enemy dmg if someone fails to dodge it
All this GI haters and fans are dumb. GI is soo greedy because rolling chars in GI is not a mandatory. It's not a MUST. It could make your life easier, much easier, but it was never a MUST thing to do. All this generosity can be nulified if new chars will be a bottleneck for a player to move forward. Take a look at Elemental system in HSR or HI 3D. There you must roll to be up to date. With GI it's not even the case. So yes, GI treats it's playerbase like trash but it gives you a real case of doing EVERYTHING in the game with starting 4 chars and a free ones from events. Xiangling is just the most broken no ICD char in the game, you can clear everything with her. Artifacts is what really matters, chars there is just an alternative to gameplay. What we need to see to be able to really compare WW and GI is HOW MANDATORY THE NEW CHARS IN WW ARE. If it;s the same where you can do everything with free chars and 5* and new 4* are just an alternatives, new ways to do the same job, then yeah - WW prob gonna beat genshing in quality. Until that moment will be revealed to us - this is BS what you are all talking here

@@pxndavic Not only the artstyle but a lot of other mecanics which Zelda was the only one doing at the time: - Climbing, litteraly work the exact same way in genshin - I don't play in english so idk the name but remember the thing that change our vision and allow us to see the elemental trace by making them glowy ? (It was used in some quest and in monstadt and Liyue reputation quest). It was actually a thing from Zelda botw and it both look the same. - They also used the same mecanic for the map and make it look very similar - Not really a mecanic but they took a lot of inspiration from Zelda for the interface of the game.. I may forgot some other things but yeah, genshin took a lot from Zelda botw, and then others games did the same.

There was absoulutely no reason in making this video.Movement in genshin and wuthering waves is super similiar they are both fast you an climb on wall with kirara and go on high places very fast and quickly with xianyun kazuha venti etc you can also use xiao's skill while gliding and kazuhas which is literally the same thing that wuthering waves has but in a different way.With xianyuns skill you can also do the same twice jumping and even 1 time more.And dont even get me started with smimming you can use furinas skill or kokomi's burst to walk on water which is way more faste than swimming in both games.And swimming underwater in fontaine is so much faster than swimming in wuthering waves.Fall damage?You an literally plunge its not even hard especially with xiao since he doesnt lose any hp with that or use xianyun's skill because she doesnt take fall damage when using her skill.In genshin not having a skip dialogue button is very important because in every single quest there is something huge about the lore and if you just skip you wont know whats even happening.Stamina while running is not needed especially when you have yelan linette or sayu since their skills are faste than running and you can gain a lot of stamina just by upgrading the statue's of the seven.Literally every character in genshin is good including alloy four stars etc bennet is one of the best characters to use in genshin impact and he isnt even a five star.You can also can get tons of four stars for free like amber keaya lisa by just meeting them and doing the archon quest barbara from fighting dvalin xiangling from abbys collei from unclocking sumeru and lynette from unlocking fontaine and all of these characters are good.Genshin gameplay cannot change because of the huge amount of space genshin takes when downloading if the game had more complicated gameplay the game would be huge and everyones device would explode if you only care about gameplay you can easily switch to honkai impact where the combat/gameplay is insanly good with tons of details.If you actually explore in genshin you can tell the huge difference between some npc's and how unique they are especially sumeru one's like jeht for example.What wuthering waves has is not petting animals just them doing tricks without you being able to touch them and being able to feed them which genshin has.Wuthering waves combat is exactly the same as honkai impacts.Genshin has tons of characters who work perfectly with eachother having dendro/hydro/electro characters in one team is super good and they dont even need to be build if you use character combinations like that.Being able to lock doesnt make a game better than every single game that doesnt.Every genshin characters atacks are unique if you actually pay attention to them even the one that look similiar will always have a small or big detail.Every game has atack e skill and burst.Swapping characters in genshin is just as fast as wuthering waves,but wuthering waves is more smooth ig.About collecting mosters or whatever that is,is completely different than what genshin has and u cannot add that to a video where you are comparing 2 games.The gacha system is a lot similiar in noelles banner is the exact thing you can make 10 wishes by using 8 and there is a huge possibility that you will get a five star there in your first pull too.The wepons being guaranteed is really a good thing since pulling for wepons in genshin is a pain in the ass.You could have made the video talking about what wuthering waves has and what an amazing game it is being it indeed is very good and its not even realised yet without comparing it to genshin.This video was unecessary comparing games in the first place in unecessary.Every year there is a "genshin killer" which is pretty annoying not everything has to be connected with genshin.People in hoyoverse do a really hard job to improve their game and make the community happy only for them to compare their game to different ones because they can never be pleased.

tru i exclusivy use xianyun, all the movment issues he talked about are resolved with her especially at C1. shes easily the best mover in the game so theirs no point using anyone else.

Genshin combat: bosses have so many invincibility frame for maximum stall experience while in WuWa you can interefere enemies thru parries to speed up the battle
Newer genshin bosses are morelike solving puzzles to fight a training dummy. I missed bosses like raiden, childe and andrius where you actually have to hit the boss and not a part of the boss

Seeing that we get 6 wishes of each type from the shop per month, that's 72 wishes a year. Assuming that soft pity begins at 70, this will guarantee us one "free" exclusive character, weapon, and standard character/weapon just from the shop.

R1999 has some of the best gacha i've seen tbh. It's like gacha that actually wants the player to get what they go for, lol.

One thing that I notice is that you can swap characters in and out while they are swimming, in the middle of the air,… and when they are in their attack animation you can swap to the other characters and the animation still remains. For example: Encore’s core passive (idk what that called in WW) is consuming her gauge then she releases a nuke after charging for a while and in the middle of the charge you can swap character, Encore will still be there on the field. That goes the same with Echoes

I actually like the idea of the combat being mechanically complex compared to the typical E-Q-Swap. It's hard to learn, but opens the door to way more interesting skills and combos, and means I would be way more interested instead of how I generally try to avoid fights in GI because I find them a chore.

I hope this game gets very big, so that the genshin team is forced to innovate more, i love the story and world design in genshin, but a lot of the gameplay aspects (and rewards) feel like they are stuck in the past. Hopefully with more open world gacha games coming out to compete, mihoyo is forced to do new things with the game
After CBT2, I am pretty pumped. I have been playing Kuro games for awhile now and love their style. I feel that if they keep pace content wise with their other games, Genshin is in trouble.

Why even taking ease of exploration as a positive?... If going by this logic - best would be ability to appear anywhere whenever you want. How boring... In game really most important are limitations. They create experience, challenge and satisfaction, like discovering open world. Abilities to travel needs to be balanced, not just - the more the better... NO! My Fren just recently complained to me about 'improvements' in Genshin to travel faster in some areas, how they take away a lot of experience they had in the game previously. I can't judge how it is in WW, but I hope for interesting open world, not just super fast travel that will make the world super fast boring. I also don't agree about 4*s. To be fair, I see people very often telling that new 4*s require c6. No idea where this myth and nonsense is coming from, there is nothing like this. Much more often we are getting good 4*s that are alright starting from c0, or are not very good no matter the cons, than situation as you're saying - they need c6... I even think that older characters needed cons more. And if you played Genshin a lot, you should know well that some 4*s are great. So what was this even about?... hmmm

i'll say, as scummy as Genshin locking exploration QoLs behind character gacha is (Kazuha double jump, Furina walking on water, Yelan's dash, etc), i like how the different characters has something unique for the exploration. really hoping WuWa would animate general movements uniquely for different characters - however unlikely it is.
Well, there is a character named Alto, whom as a mechanic where you can move thru his skill for a Yelan type wind movement. He's a 4 star, and with his c1, you can use it every 6 seconds or so. Of the characters I have though, they don't seem to have unique movement, but I only have about 5 characters for now.
Also, there are a few echo that you can use for movement.

They have features that makes exploration easier, faster, smoother, more convenient, more seamless, and/or less tedious. Nothing wrong about enjoying the exploration without these characters -- in fact, i salute you if you do -- but saying these characters are not exploration QoL is just wrong. And the fact that Genshin only has 1 exploration QoL that's not locked behind characters from the limited banner and is not area specific, but is still locked behind Inazuma reputation quest, just makes exploration not great. Still fun, sure, but not great.

I will be still playing Genshin as i don't see the big appeal in what you showed us. Main reason is propably that i like Genshin characters more. And yes weapon banner sucks in Genshin, i think i only pulled once on it (f2p btw) when it had Yelan and Hu Tao weapons (both being worth getting). I got the bow i needed and my Yelan is c4 so yeah i still want to get ger to c6 and maybe get Neuvillette higher too.
Still i don't have much to play games nowadays ans Genshin (once you explore everything) gives me that peace of mind - i just log in, spend resin and do dailies or events and then i am free to go about my daily life. So this is what i do like about Genshin. SURE there's room for improvement but they might improve a thing or two too. Petting pets is not what i want in games anyway. Though once i get bored of Genshin Wuthering Waves might be worth checking out. But yeah not huge fan of grinding monsters for drops. Been there, done that, still remember the brainless hours in MU online and other games and i think i want something else and if i need to grind in WW then i'll pass.

You know if only Genshin made all the necesaary improvements through the years, WuWa might not have been able to have any advanatges over Genshin besides combat at all.
But sadly the reality is that Genshin now having a true serious competitor(screw ToF that one doesn't count lmao) their system that looked godly when they were the only game in this genre is now being exposed. Solid proof is that imagine missing a measly "skip button" for more than 3 years now while WuWa just outright implemented it, that tells a lot tbh and we're just talking about a function that should be readily available on almost every game by default.

i wonder if wuthering waves will have the same story problems as genshin? i hope it leans more towards the jarilo VI story in starrail where you have a main group of characters you are with the whole time, and lesser playable characters who still show up multiple times in the story and play a decent role. genshin have so many playable characters who show up for a quest or 2, then basically have no relevance in the story anymore, even if they are 5 stars.
wuthering waves have the chance to not repeat a lot of the problems that genshin have in its story quests. if the game will have character quests then i hope the playable characters will be the main focus in their story quest, and not npcs.

Just like there's a difference between calling a game directly "better" than another vs simply pointing out specific things in one game that are done better than another game, calling a game a "Genshin killer" and pointing out specific points about Wuthering Waves that are executed better than in Genshin is not calling it a "Genshin killer."
To put it in your words, please stop these types of comments already. There is nothing wrong with comparing and contrasting two different games. In fact, assuming you watched the whole video, this video also specifically also points out things that Genshin does "better" than Wuthering Waves (even if I may not agree with them personally). So this is not at all a video claiming Wuthering Waves to be a "Genshin killer." They are simply comparing the two games and aspects that each one does better than the other, which is entirely justified as they are heavily similar games and will be competing against each other.

The only thing I will say is, I really hope Wuthering Waves doesn't cater too much to the casuals and full commits to more complex, difficult combat. While it is a fair argument to say "It's not everyone's cup of tea" and hold the opinion that the simpler combat in Genshin is a good thing, I just hope the games stay separate in their own categories, one catering to the casual players who prefer simple combat (Genshin already does this well) and Wuthering Waves catering to the hardcore players.
Either game trying to satisfy both crowds will satisfy nobody, and I think it really is best that they each stick to their own audience and style of combat. There can exist a game each for both types of players, and this way if each game just sticks to one, they'll be able to make that single type of player more satisfied than if they tried to appeal to everyone.
That's not to say I disagree with your point in the video, I can see where you're coming from and appreciate it when you look at both sides of the debate between simple vs difficult combat, since there's players of both types and as such will like or dislike Genshin/Wuthering Waves as a result. I just hope the two games don't try to tread on each others' toes.

Genshin gives 60+some primos a day via daily and unreliable hoyolab stuff. So you can expect 1 pull every 2,6 days in f2p. That is a very small amount for currently running gachas.
How many whatevergems does wuthering waves give at the moment on a calculable free basis? This can be dailies, weeklies, seasonal and log in stuff, as long as it is a reachable reoccurring amount.
Does wuthering waves give 60 as well? Because if the amount is different each pull can take longer or will be achieved quicker.
And for p2p what do whatevergems costs?
One genshin pull costs 2,60-2,50 (depending on how much they whale you) so a ten roll is 25$, a guaranteed random five star (1x hard pity = 90 pulls) is 225$ and a guaranteed banner (with tremendous bad luck of 3x hard pity = 270 pulls) is 675$. Making genshin the most expensive gacha currently running.
Its nice that they have hard pity at 80, making it sligthly quicker in pulls. But how does wuthering waves compare in $? Or in other words what do the p2p whatevergems cost? Is it the same or different?

11. Character tutorial
Looking forward to this I like open world, I like collecting characters too with Genshin style of combat as well I don’t like turn based so I left stair rail and aside from Genshin I don’t know of another mobile game that has its style.
I’m hoping WuWa can give me the break from Genshin that I need as I sadly feel rather fed up with it and its repetitive nature.
Just curious how important are elements? I know there’s not reactions or anything but like how do they work
As of now, elements arent that important. Basically there are "reactions" but they are more like buffs. When two elements "react" you get a buff depending on the elements. These buffs increase charged attack, skill, or burst damage. There are more effects and they are dependent on which elements interact with each other. I will try to explain more in a future video, unfortunately its not explained in game.
No matter what characters you put in, a reaction occurs, so you can put your favorite characters in any team play.
If you good with Dodge & Parry, you can solo everything in this game, pick your main and SLAY them all...
Element is just for Weakness / Immune to certain enemies..
Character Element interactions are gone and now replaced with Intro/Outro Skill...
When the bar on the left of HP is full, changing character will cast their Intro/Outro skill.
Depending on the character, the Intro/Outro Skill will be different... Some heals, some give time stop, some give Ultimate Energy

Here are things that genshin are better at:
1. The music: The music is sooooo awosome, the different music in different regions represent those regions really, really well. The bosses music and battle music is soo good too, they really just give u that very suspense feeling.(The devs spend a lot of money in there)
2.The storyline: I know dialogues are really annoying and u can't skip them in Genshin but overall (if u do pay attendtion)genshin's main Storyline is Great. Not only that the character storyline and world quest can really tell u a lot of stories, allowing u to understand characters and thing better. I always feel awe after i finish the a story.
3. The character designs: The character designs in genshin are really good and there is just so much detail in a character, and u evenually would be able to understand a character better as u can unlock more dialogues. The character desgn in genshin are just getting better and better.
Overall Genshin is really awosome, it just requires time to play the gacha system kinda sucks cause F2p can't get a lot of priogems(In game curereentcy that u use to get knew characters). Other then that the game is good
I think character designs are subjective. Honestly I prefer kuro's design because they are kinda simplistic. Hoyo's design feels way too overwhelming. And they reused the same character models for years

This game is more similar to ToF in all the points that are addressed than to GI, the 4-star GI characters that are most useful are those that do not need to be on the field and the majority are there from the beginning. I think that as time goes by the 4 star characters in this game will not continue to be as useful with the powercreep that accompanies these games.

I think its going to be really good. Overall, it feels way better than Genshin. Considering this is only the closed beta 2, there is still much more improvement to be had with the game.

I play on mobile and don't have a pc. I hope this game is casual friendly. In terms of combat l prefer simple play, I like to relax when playing, so I don't like characters like bow users dependent on aiming in combat, I skipped Alhaitham since I don't want to spend the time of thinking of his mechanics to optimize his damage, skipped Liney I don't like charge attacking, skipped Wriothesley same reason as Alhaitham. I really don't like having too much to think about optimizing damage by monitoring hoops like the Duke 's hp level, I rather use Ayaka, my work already gives me more than enough hoops to think about.
I think you should stick to Genshin my guy 🫡 you just don’t need to think there period.
Genshin is such a disappointing game with all it's limitations. If only Cai Haoyu wasn't in charge, Genshin would be 100x better.

Must of you are happy with the skip button, ignoring the story and complaining after about the story being "bad''. This way some games doesn't add it in order for you to follow thr story. How to do you think people love gensh story, it just because you didn't have the choice and fall in love with it unlike PGR. This is now people start following PGR story and judge it as ....AMAZIN!
That's also why every Hi3 players destroyed Genshin story lovers, pushing them to change the argument to "but the lore !!!". And yes Hi3 have a skip button just in case you didn't know. I personnaly prefer to have the choice just you know in case i personally don't like the story like in Genshin.
Skip button is a must in gachas.
Story is secondary in gachas.
Most people play for the gameplay, not the story.
Imo WuWa is way more like Honkai Impact 3rd, mostly because of the combat.
How can you be an intermediate player if you played only 4 hours?
Climbing: here the WW devs where simply too lazy to implement a climbing animation.
Furthermore, it's just irritating that transversing OVER a mountain is always faster than circumventing it on even ground, or some compromise between those.
Every Character has the same vertical movement options: less difference between chars, less incentive to get and other other chars that your preferred team; ...a minus, not a plus in my book.
Swimming: Is this a satire? In you video you're not fast than GI sprint-swimm, drain your stamina, and then drown.
Falling: Same a climbing:de-valuating smart movement and route planning.
And you have to be pretty low-level to die from any building in Mondstadt, and not deploy you glider and not initate a plunge attack.
Skipping dialog: that's a good change; although you can speed up the dialog in GI, you can't really skip it, and it happens that you talk to the wrong person and has to click through several lines of dialog.
Unlimited stamina: nice, but IMHO also takes away from the exploration.
In Addition: you seldom have to walk a long time in GI (and most other such games), thanks to teleport points.
4 Stars: I like the GI 4 Stars, you can play the whole game just with 4 Stars; maybe the WW 4 Stars are more powerful in relation to mobs, but this points to harder mobs already being planned.
More details to NPCs: That's good, although I don't see that much difference to the way GI treats NPCs with a function or a dialog.
Petting animals: That's nice; I hope they implement this in GI too if they've got some free dev resources.
Combat: So it's more like a mix of GI and HI3 combat? Looks good, but it's a matter of taste; for me, it's too hectic and demanding on timing and observation.
You're aware that the lock-feature is irrelevant in fights against single enemy like you showed them in the video, and makes fighting easier and positioning less relevant?

Echo: a) intriguing idea,
b) probably a terrible grind and the time-gate system of this game.
Gacha: GI has a beginner banner too, GI gives your your favored weapon guaranteed, too, albeit only after maybe one 50:50 fail, and give you free wishes by just playing; so the ONLY differences are "no weapons on the character banner" and "pity on the weapon banner" - but those ARE good improvements, IMHO.
Did you do the statistics: Average waiting time to get a certain weapon or char just by playing the game or average money spent to buy it?
And a related point: do you have any idea how important the 5 Stars and personal weapons will be?
Will it get mandatory to pay up to advance in the game or will everything be beatable with random drops and free pulls?
I do agree that GIs landscapes are more spectacular and beautiful, but WWs can improve, and the way they are more is soothing to the eyes.
And two last ones: are any controllers supported and are there coop options?

1- that rope should only work if aimed at an object
2- no double jump
3- slow exploration speed so it can help players admire the in-game world
4- increase the chances of dying like increas the fall dmg and enemy dmg if someone fails to dodge it

All this GI haters and fans are dumb. GI is soo greedy because rolling chars in GI is not a mandatory. It's not a MUST. It could make your life easier, much easier, but it was never a MUST thing to do. All this generosity can be nulified if new chars will be a bottleneck for a player to move forward. Take a look at Elemental system in HSR or HI 3D. There you must roll to be up to date. With GI it's not even the case. So yes, GI treats it's playerbase like trash but it gives you a real case of doing EVERYTHING in the game with starting 4 chars and a free ones from events. Xiangling is just the most broken no ICD char in the game, you can clear everything with her. Artifacts is what really matters, chars there is just an alternative to gameplay. What we need to see to be able to really compare WW and GI is HOW MANDATORY THE NEW CHARS IN WW ARE. If it;s the same where you can do everything with free chars and 5* and new 4* are just an alternatives, new ways to do the same job, then yeah - WW prob gonna beat genshing in quality. Until that moment will be revealed to us - this is BS what you are all talking here

- Climbing, litteraly work the exact same way in genshin
- I don't play in english so idk the name but remember the thing that change our vision and allow us to see the elemental trace by making them glowy ? (It was used in some quest and in monstadt and Liyue reputation quest). It was actually a thing from Zelda botw and it both look the same.
- They also used the same mecanic for the map and make it look very similar
- Not really a mecanic but they took a lot of inspiration from Zelda for the interface of the game..

There was absoulutely no reason in making this video.Movement in genshin and wuthering waves is super similiar they are both fast you an climb on wall with kirara and go on high places very fast and quickly with xianyun kazuha venti etc you can also use xiao's skill while gliding and kazuhas which is literally the same thing that wuthering waves has but in a different way.With xianyuns skill you can also do the same twice jumping and even 1 time more.And dont even get me started with smimming you can use furinas skill or kokomi's burst to walk on water which is way more faste than swimming in both games.And swimming underwater in fontaine is so much faster than swimming in wuthering waves.Fall damage?You an literally plunge its not even hard especially with xiao since he doesnt lose any hp with that or use xianyun's skill because she doesnt take fall damage when using her skill.In genshin not having a skip dialogue button is very important because in every single quest there is something huge about the lore and if you just skip you wont know whats even happening.Stamina while running is not needed especially when you have yelan linette or sayu since their skills are faste than running and you can gain a lot of stamina just by upgrading the statue's of the seven.Literally every character in genshin is good including alloy four stars etc bennet is one of the best characters to use in genshin impact and he isnt even a five star.You can also can get tons of four stars for free like amber keaya lisa by just meeting them and doing the archon quest barbara from fighting dvalin xiangling from abbys collei from unclocking sumeru and lynette from unlocking fontaine and all of these characters are good.Genshin gameplay cannot change because of the huge amount of space genshin takes when downloading if the game had more complicated gameplay the game would be huge and everyones device would explode if you only care about gameplay you can easily switch to honkai impact where the combat/gameplay is insanly good with tons of details.If you actually explore in genshin you can tell the huge difference between some npc's and how unique they are especially sumeru one's like jeht for example.What wuthering waves has is not petting animals just them doing tricks without you being able to touch them and being able to feed them which genshin has.Wuthering waves combat is exactly the same as honkai impacts.Genshin has tons of characters who work perfectly with eachother having dendro/hydro/electro characters in one team is super good and they dont even need to be build if you use character combinations like that.Being able to lock doesnt make a game better than every single game that doesnt.Every genshin characters atacks are unique if you actually pay attention to them even the one that look similiar will always have a small or big detail.Every game has atack e skill and burst.Swapping characters in genshin is just as fast as wuthering waves,but wuthering waves is more smooth ig.About collecting mosters or whatever that is,is completely different than what genshin has and u cannot add that to a video where you are comparing 2 games.The gacha system is a lot similiar in noelles banner is the exact thing you can make 10 wishes by using 8 and there is a huge possibility that you will get a five star there in your first pull too.The wepons being guaranteed is really a good thing since pulling for wepons in genshin is a pain in the ass.You could have made the video talking about what wuthering waves has and what an amazing game it is being it indeed is very good and its not even realised yet without comparing it to genshin.This video was unecessary comparing games in the first place in unecessary.Every year there is a "genshin killer" which is pretty annoying not everything has to be connected with genshin.People in hoyoverse do a really hard job to improve their game and make the community happy only for them to compare their game to different ones because they can never be pleased.
