  • I have changed my mind about having my brows microbladed. Thankfully, makeup companies are coming out with products that can replicate the microblading effect. In this video, I am trying a couple of these products. Sorry, but I will not be able to answer your comments as I am away this week.

    I’ve had micro pigmentation done on my brows when I was 43, I’m now 48, the process is different to microblading. Yes you have to keep the brows dry for a week, but I still wear make up whilst they heal and I still shower and wash my hair, I’ve got it down to a fine art. Best thing I ever did as I had less brow hair than you, they were able to fix any asymmetry I had too. I get them topped up annually. I’m a make up artist and Hd brows pro stylist so I researched the market thoroughly before choosing my semi permanent make up specialist. I now only have to add make up to my brows if I want to.

      @TheSnflwr 5 лет назад

      That's what I had done and I was able to wash mine in less than a week and they never really scabbed at all. My right eye didn't turn out as dark but I spend a lot less time on my brows than I did before. I'm so glad she did micropigmentation vs microblading since it doesn't cause as much trauma to the skin.

    Hi Nisha, that was very interesting. I must say I'm wary of microblading, or anything that involves breaking the skin. There's always the risk of infection, and it's just not worth it, when you can get lovely results with good products. I like the results you've achieved, very much. Many thanks.

    I’ve been using Grande Brow and Grande Lash for ages as it’s the only thing that increases the volume of Brow hair. Of course I still use Nyx eye pencil and CT coloured brow set, but at least I have something to work with now! My brows were like yours but are far bushier now. Grande Lash/or Brow aren’t as expensive as most and lasts ages. Worth a try. Thx for showing us these products, I enjoyed the video 🙂

    I had my brows done two years ago and I love them. The original procedure did not take well with my skin so we switched to more of a tattoo process and it worked great! I’ve had them touched up several times and will go again in a few months. The pain is not bad and recovery time was easy. I was told I could shower and water would not hurt them but not to scrub or use anything that might fade them. You can clean your face with makeup remover cloths. Mine healed quickly and I can’t detect any scar tissue. The pain was worst the first time but mostly uncomfortable. My skin is somewhat resistant to the pigment and it took a few tries to get the color just right. I also had eyeliner done and it was a little painful but still worth it. I went to a very reputable salon in Houston Texas and paid big bucks for them, but they did an excellent job. I encourage you too do it. If you find the right artist you will be so happy you got them. Here’s the website for the salon I went to- permetika.com You can look at it and learn a lot about the procedure. Beware of those who do a cheap version because you will be disappointed. I know you live in UK but I’m sure there are excellent salons there as well. I will try to post a before and after of my brows but not sure I can do it here on RUclips.

    I've had semi permanent tattoo brows 3 times. You can shower and wash your hair just fine afterwards (just make sure the water from shower head doesn't soak your brows). You can use makeup remover wipes to remove makeup. Recovery after tattooed brows is VERY easy!!! Don't let that deter you from getting it. I recently got an eyebrow hair transplant which is SUPERIOR to tattooed brows... NOTHING beats having real hair!! 😁👍

    Good Morning! Thanks for another look at using these new brow products! An Urban Decay artist disdain a great video too this week using theirs. He used the pencil end over the entire brow, making his a lot thicker and then using the felt tip end in the front and randomly over it to make them really look natural. He used two shades besides. I think yours may look dark but you also don’t have eyeshadow on yet. They look nice!

    Morning Nisha! I found the same issue with the UD brow blade - a little dark, even the lightest shade . What I have been doing is brushing the NYX HD Finishing powder over ( that you’re recommended in the past) and it lightens and sets the color to a taupe which I also prefer.💐

    • @mariavotto6069
      @mariavotto6069 5 лет назад

      Lori E Yes, me too Lori E. I think I have the NYX finishing powder somewhere in my arsenal. What kind of brush do you use to go over your brows? I really am a light taupe...still haven’t found anything that is “cool” enough other than ABH Brow Wizz in Taupe.

    • @lorie6196
      @lorie6196 5 лет назад +1

      Maria Votto Hi Maria! I use a small dense kind of fan brush, dip it in the HD banana powered and brush up. Takes the color down(lightens) beautifully and also sets it. It’s been working well!💐

    That looks like just the ticket. I flirted with the idea of having my brows tattooed but worry about the ink spreading over time. And I would have never thought taupe would work for me but that appears to be my shade. Thanks for being such a great guinea pig!

    I love the little pen style brow products. I use the Soap & Glory one which is good, a retractable pencil at one end & pen at the other. Some people have had issues with the pencil nib breaking off but mine's been fine. 😃

    I have been tempted to have microblading also and now I am sure I don't want to do it. I love the look from the products today but I agree it is too dark. I am a blonde and I don't know if they make anything that would be light enough for me if those colors are the lightest they have to chose from. Thanks for the video

    Love this tutorial, NIsha. I recently bought the MAC Shape and Shade, and I completely agree about the powder in the other end - I don't like it and find it quite hard to work with and I would've preferred to either have a spoolIe or a thin pencil. I can't wait for the Urban Decay to launch here in Denmark as I'd love the have a brush that's a bit shorter than the MAC, as well as not quite as bendable. I think that there two products seem to complete each others 😉

    I had microneedling which is a different process, you put vaseline on your brows when you take a shower/wash your hair, and your your back to the shower head. No problem. I took my make up off with my usual products, avoiding the brows, and removed it with a warm, damp towel. No problem. (After a week you go back to your usual routine),
    And when you put sunscreen on your face, every day, you make sure you include your eyebrows to avoid fading. Touch up once a year. EASY! 😍

    I think your brows look great Nisha! Brows always look dark before you put your make-up on. I bet they won't look too dark after you finish your eyes. I have wondered about microblading. I didn't know about the wait time or scar tissue. You've helped me decide that this is a no for me. I'll definitely look into the Mac or UD. I tried a Maybelline one a long time ago and it didn't deposit any color onto my skin. I'm excited to try this. Thank you! xo

    You did a beautiful job,Nisha! I do wish some taupes were true taupes - many are still too warm on me. Believe it or not, I have had good luck with the salon perfect microblading pen that’s like $5 in Walmart. They have a “universal taupe” that’s a TRUE cool taupe..only hiccup is it’s a smidge dark...but of all the pens I’ve tried, this is the coolest of the taupes and it doesn’t turn a weirdish green. Anyway, your brows came out great!

    They look good I like a bit of a darker brow that matches root colour more youthful. I wouldn't rule out Microblading the down time is not that long and the gel they give your will stop water settling , hair washing and makeup is manageable. I had mine done 2 yrs ago and didn't have a top up I'm still happy with them just have to fill in the fronts & few gaps but so much easier. Just find someone reputable xx

    Hi, you did a good job of it, but microblading is not that scary. The only drawback is the cost. I am 72 yrs. old and I have had mine done 4 times in about 15 years. The techs would like for you to come back sooner, but after a year or so you can touchup w/Pencil for a couple of years because you still have the tattoo showing. But in the states paying $500 a pop, I go every 3 years or longer. I do not have scar tissue. I love having full brows again, & taking care of them is easy. When I shower I cover w/Vaseline, I put eye makeup on and take off as usual. Within a week they are healed and look great. You go back in 6 weeks to touch up where you think it needs it. Some have very sensitive skin and maybe this would not work for them. But as for me, I love saving the time it took me to put my brows on before microblading. In fact, I am going to Austin the 16th to get mine done again. Always find several on youtube in your area, find one you like the best and has the best and most reviews. Also never heard off brows turning green. Maybe blondes might have this problem more often than brunettes. Also do research before picking a tech. Hope one day you do this, I truly believe you will like it very much.

    Hey Nisha! Don’t dismiss microblading altogether -it can be great. But it can also be really terrible as I am sure we have all seen. The best option is to go for combination brows and to find an extremely experienced artist. I had mine corrected a year ago and they are still great. They do need topping up now really but they are still a million times better than before and it saves so much time ! Pure microblading doesn’t last long I don’t think unless it’s done incorrectly -then the blue/green colour just goes on and on!

    I had mine micro bladded. I couldn't wash that area of my face for 3 days, then I could wash with special soap and then no more for 10 days, but I could wear make up, just not on eyebrows. I took showers, no soap in that area, washed my hair...all that was fine. I did the gym. It was easier than I thought, and I love them.

    Hi. .try the Maybelline tattoo studio brow tint pen. it's the same thing with a little pronged brush where you actually draw in the hairs and the one in blond is rather light.i have it and I love it and it's very inexpensive.

    Has anyone found a more cool toned brown color in UD Brow Blade?

      You can hear hers in the beginning of the video. Sounds like a spray paint can with a ball bearing shaker inside!

    I've been searching for years for the right colour brow product they are either too dark or too red! if you find the correct colour please let me know lol In the meantime I will stay with my over plucked light brows rather than them looking 'stuck on', know what I mean? thanks Nish your tutorials are always so helpful. Hugs B xx

    Try the urban decay "brow box" in (bathwater blonde) or the "Brow gal" pomade/powder trio palette in (shade #3)

    Hi Nisha, not sure on this one. I prefer the way your brows were before. Maybe it’s the colour. ♥️xxx

      Oops sorry about the above. I’ve just watched Pampered Wolf on RUclips using the shade brown sugar, I think that colour would be better. See what you think. ♥️xxx

    Look into micropigmentation with a machine. It does the same thing but less trauma to the skin and it last 3 years or so versus the scraping with a scalpel. I had mine done that way and was able to take a shower that same night and no scabbing. Please look into that. I'm in menopause so my eyebrows never grew back and now they look like my own.

    I love my $2 Elf brow pencil in blond. It is a cool taupe. Thanks to Elle is For Living for the recommendation!

    There's also a good one by "Glossier" called (brow flick) and the (Bushy Brow) Combo by "Lime Crime". I still think for the fact that you want a lighter option to try the brow box

    Mine cost $400 and it was a lady that has done this kind of stuff for 35 years otherwise I would freak out at the price. The touch up whenever I want it is $150. I think where you live makes the price go up and I live in a small city of Pensacola, Florida. Trust me, mine look amazing.

    Those shades are a tad dark and too warm. I have the same issue finding the correct ashy shade for my blonde hair. Your hair is a lovely ash color therefore a more ash blonde/light ash blonde brow pencil would be more suitable. I love the concept!
    I am going to check them out!
