Thank you, Julia, for showing us your fabulous work on transforming sweatshirts and sharing it with us. I took scissors to my sweatshirt with fabulous results. Love it!
What a great idea to leave the stitch line when cutting off the ribbing! It really gives an upmarket look to an otherwise clumpy/chunky ribbed hem normal in sweatshirts. Comfort and class. Good job. TFS
These are wonderful; a really inspirational series. I am going to use a sweatshirt I have had forever, but have hardly worn. Love these little rose embellishments too. I always learn so much from you.
Hi Barbara, So glad you are enjoying this series. I have been making and selling my sweatshirts for 20 plus years and I find the ones that sell the quickest are the understated ones. Less is more! Happy creating. Julia
So awesome, love this and have changed a couple of my sweatshirts. I love sweatshirts but find them uncomfortable to wear. Now they are so comfy. You are so creative. Love your work and the way you present.
I'm so glad you are enjoying my sweatshirt transformations and are giving them a try! Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment. Julia
Love all the sweatshirts. Tried to find the Yam colored one with no luck. I’ve done silk stitching on garments for years but never thought about sweatshirts. Great idea.
Due to my arthritis I tend to wear fingerless 'gloves' even in the house. Especially if the material is soft. You've mentioned doing a tutorial on the fingerless mittens.... please do!!
Hi Marcia, I have not been able to get my sweatshirts for several months. My supplier- Alphabroder.com, has been out of stock on most sizes. The name of the sweatshirt is Comfort Color and I use the style #1566. I am currently trying to find a similar sweatshirt to replace it. Thanks for watching! Julia
Hi, Mine came with my machine but you can get free-motion quilting feet for most machines. You may want to ask a sewing machine dealer to get the correct one for your machine.
I wanted to make a top like this out of my sweatshirt. I couldn't find a video, so I made an asymetrical cut about 2 inches down. I didn't remove the collar part like Julia did. I thought I might have ruined the top. I found this video on Pinterest the very same day I cut the shirt. I wonder if anyone knows if it will come out almost the same with an asymetrical cut if I make the slit a little longer. Makes me mad that I cut and then found the video I had been looking for hours later. :(
Hi, I’ve made many sweatshirts with an asymmetrical cut. Some I take the neckband off and some I don’t. I usually fold the cut flap down and stitch it in place or add a button. It’s a fun look.
Hi Margaret, My supplier is Alphabroder.com. The sweatshirt I used in this video is the brand Comfort Color #1566. My supplier has been out of stock on many colors and sizes -not sure what is going on. I may be looking for a different brand! Happy creating. Julia
Your tutorials are so special. You show us all the directions without wasting time. Love it.

Hi Gladys, Comfort Color discontinued the Yam color. Ugh! It was one of my best sellers. Your silk stitching sounds intriguing ...Julia

Thank you for being so kind to respond.
Can a Cricut Cuddle Bug be used to make the embellishments?
Hi Penny, I'm not sure. I have never used the Cuddle Bug. Perhaps someone with experience will chime in. Thanks for watching, Julia
where did you get the free style foot for your sewing machine
