Like the Top Gear reference at the beginning
Yup
What's the reference?
@@iamshanif "Some say it is.."
@Muhammed Shanif it's a stig reference
@@saiakhilvem7622 yes.. Stig from TopGear
The Hilux was the one that went to North Pole and back. Would love to see a comparison between this and the Isuzu.
Waiting for comparison test of ISUZU D-Max and Hilux
RE Himalayan also did that.
Its not the vehicle, its the driver

I'm just under six feet tall....that signature dialogue though 🤣
Saw this at the Toyota showroom today, it looks fabulous even in white colour, with a little modification this thing will look like a pure beast. ( Blacked out Hilux with red led floor lights )
Nikhil is one of the finest auto journalist and his reviews are simple and enjoyable to watch.
0:06 Nice Jeremy Clarkson style with the "some say" introduction. God, I miss the Top Gear show with the legendary trio.
As someone who’s habituated to a car from 2013, this feels awesome, particularly the touchscreen. Remember it’s about functionality not bling like Hyundai
I do own a Vcross since 6 years and its a beast. I can understand the view points of those who drive SUV s and Premium vehicles. On the highways its a performer. And always a head turner.
There is a term to describe people who buy large SUV to show off
@@callingbell-ix5se 😂😂
@@callingbell-ix5se People with big SUVs drive much more responsibly than dudes with modified small hatchbacks, i can confirm this as a biker myself.
@@callingbell-ix5se 😂😁😀
@@saswatsnayak102030I can vouch for that
To understand what Toyota Hilux is capable of, watch Top Gear "Killing a Toyota" series and WhistlinDiesel Hilux Durability test
Though I doubt the same high quality vehicle is launched here
Are you gonna do the same ? Everyday.
It's the very same quality. It's widely used in South Africa along with the Ford Raptor. This thing passes through cold mines unhinged
Came here to comment on top gear reference but a guy already did that it wonderful to see more top gear fans here that show was perfect it was not just about cars
As a pickup truck it's seriously not bad but just as said, it's a commitment!
So happy to see manufacturers offering puckups in India. Finally ! I just hope people consider these vehicles as their everyday drives !
Not suitable for Indian roads
Pakistan main to ye gariya aam hai all Toyota cars Indian roads per to Sirf Marutis chalti hai or koi to gari nahi dekhai deti😂
@@kevinfernandez9999 they are. I drove it through my village farmland roads which were as narrow as you can imagine and turns out the Hilux's suspension balanced it so well with a 186kg bike behind on it's back

We rode the 2013 Model of the Hilux in Türkiye and it’s just an amazing car
It is just a simple truck that can take you from point A to B for many years without giving much problem. That is what Toyota is for. Comparing with Toyota suv- The suv is much more better than pick up. The hilux is a work horse. Because of the leaf spring on the back pick up trucks are not comfortable at all. The Toyota Tacoma and Tundra are really good in terms of pick up. They are really luxury and have sunroofs and so many other features but we dont get those models in asia.
That intro was straight out of top gear.
Love the Top Gear reference♥
Autocar India = Love of every car enthusiast❤❤❤.
Loved the introduction on similar lines of sting from top gear
Bhutan has this in each corner. It's good but parts, milage and comfort is not appreciated
Long awaited video
Waiting for the comparison with dmax
Very happy with the present vehicle.
I was going to buy one of these last year, but then decided on the Land Cruiser instead. The Hilux is a very good truck though.
Unfortunately here in India, the price gap between the two is enough to attract totally different consumers. At the price of a Land Cruiser, one can buy 3 pickups here in India. Anyway, hope you’re enjoying your purchase
@@nirvannideeshborah7780 The taxation on cars is insane in our country.
@@nirvannideeshborah7780bro not 3 lc costs around 3 cr , 7-8 hilux will come in one lc
In India "Pick up" truck means pic up everything in the open flatbed and GO! If there's one country that can challenge the mighty Hilux's reputation, it will be India.
For the money for the top spec hilux in india u can get the top of the range hilux gr sports or the land cruiser 79 series in😅 aussie and new zealand! The money difference is crazy!!
@Amit Atwal english plz my friend 😁
@@aswinr2848 Translation: "Our India is great from all directions".
I do not know how that relates to your comment though. Maybe mocking the ridiculously high taxes here compared to others.
@@usuallyclueless4477 hopefully! Or he just lost the plot😅
Love this car. The comment section is made up people who cannot even buy cars like this so I won't let the comments discourage to buy this. Super practical. Super Reliable. As a Fortuner user, I can say, Toyota's are amazing.
how does it have a white number plate?
Nice informative review 👍👍👍
Is it possible to load bikes in back?
No commercial cargo base version of the Hilux?
On the carrier side, are we allowed to add additional 4 seats like an open top Jeep to make this an 8 seater?
U can do whatever you want it's ur car don't care of RTO regulations use that seat like when off-roading or in village side etc just flip the seats over when driving in city no one would notice
@nikhilbhatia
Your dialog I am just under 6 feet tall works great as it just justifies the headroom parameters for every car you test👍👍😂
The OG Top Gear couldn't destroy it...
It went to the North Pole and back...
It's the Batman of cars...
I have hilus High AT model.
As he mentioned the pick up trucks are not meant for comfort but i would like to add one thing here that front seats are good, they are comfortable & well cushioned but rear seat is just like he said 😅
What's the fuel economy you're getting?
@@kausthubh actually i have replaced the stock alloy with fuel alloys & i have maxis 285 all terrain tyres, so now i am getting avg of 10.5KM/L
@@ashishshahi5810 pretty impressive for a vehicle of that size!

My dream car 🙏
After a long time🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
My house is in Bhutan border,,Assam,,, pickup truck is a lifestyle vehicle in Bhutan,,as an Indian here we see only pick up truck everyday,,,so, i chose to buy Bolero camper gold ZX instead of other cars,,, Bolero camper is under my budget,,, its a very good vehicle
Am curious, why all of a sudden Hilux review videos are coming on RUclips ?? It was launched a while ago..
Toyota Quality Revolution 🥰🥰👍👍
perfect for indian roads
These vehicles are meant to last 25- 30 years. The current traffic rules dont allow to run a vehicle beyond 15 years. Its a shame. We must push for lifetime registration on vehicles.
They should have pitched the RAV-4 with Hybrid power-train that could have been a worthy SUV to compete with the new Honda-CRY or the other the Midsize SUV planned for India.
This car is very famous in KSA.... Very popular
Famous for many many years in many many countries. I am from Assam near Indo Bhutan border. I saw Hilux trucks in small country Bhutan since my childhood. Huh!!! Launch now in India????😮 when the whole world was already using?
I love this car (truck).....
A comparison between hilux and isuzu will be appreciated
A pinch of Jeremy in the intro Nice nikhil😂
A one-time purchase for life.
Can you compared to that of Toyota hilux vs Isuzu d Max video.🙄
Isn't the Hilux imported from Thailand?
SOME SAY😂 The best bits of top gear😅
Pls do drag race on ford all new fiesta with skoda rapid
Yes,😍😍😍
I saw this in Nagpur 😍
no 4k?
Please can you guys do a proper comparo between Hilux and Vcross. I think it will be an amazing video to watch. disclaimer, I am a Vcross owner but know what the result will talk about :)
Please make a video showing the Off-Road Capability!
Toyota should really price their vehicles properly... All of them look over-priced, even after factoring in all the reliability Gaga...
I really wish, Mahindra relaunched the Getaway... It was a gem for the enthusiasts who were on a budget!!!
you know why the hilux is called "indestructible"??
all toyota products in India are expensive because of heavy tax by the government, for every forturner toyota sells Indian government make 20 lacks through tax and toyota only makes 45000 as profits.
Unfortunately in middle east its a vehicle popularly used by construction sites and by fisherman and army in deserts.
It's not a lifestyle vehicle in middle east
: Its an work horse not meant for daily commute inside the urban trail.
Some Say You Copied jeremy's Lines , I Dont Think Its Tuff As Old 90s Hilux , its Serious Truck Offroader , Its Not Fit for Lifestyle , Lot of People dont use Toyotas Land rovers for Offroad adventure they use for City .
This is for people who sell goods on the move carrying goods in the bed and stopping at good points where there can be good sale and come back home with your shop at evening no shop rent and buy and transport the goods from wholesalers in the same vehicle this is exactly done in middle east, Africa and both Americas.
Why can't we get this in the US we've wanted a diesel Toyota for decades& they won't send it to us for some reason
At present my punto evo is my hilux
Wow
This or Gurkha? Will this climb on a steep mountain road with black ice?
Your knee is touching the dash board 😮
topgear reference😅
First view and comment ❤️
One guy in my locality has it 😂 #justsaying
the fortuner is the SUV derivative of the hilux pick up truck, not the other way round
Hilux is new Vellfire offering by toyota 😎
Finally
Can it be driven over a mine field ? say at a speed of more than 100 Km/h ? asking for a friend :)
Man of culture
Hilux or the dmax?
dear toyota,
please bring toyota hilux, conquest, 2.4 D manual to india
Whistlin Diesel will probably roast this video over how nicely they treated the Hilux 😂
hey chintu, lost weight bud? good on ya mate
Expensive
Should we Avoid it?
Should we Consider it?
Should we Shortlist it?
Or should we just go ahead and buy it?
Matt watson subscriber😁
S next is the Hilux!!
pickup trucks needs to be trending just as much as suvs
peoples viewpoint should change that its only for commercial purposes
For the most part, they are. The average person isn't hauling cargo on a daily basis, not to mention that pickups aren't that good when it comes to gas mileage
Loved the STIG reference. Imagined that in Clarkson voice
The Hilux has won Dakar multiple times. That says it all!
This is the only vehicle which fits well for this huge guy.. 🤣😉.
I see lots of Isuzu d max (there are no showroom in my city)
Toyota hilux ,(isme Tera Ghar chala jaega) price was 🙄44lakh on road price (different state have price ) when compared to Isuzu d Max s offer lots of things even some one buy has secondary vehicle (price was 30 to 35 lakh rupees on road different state matter).
.
People think that price better to buy Toyota fortuner or Toyota fortuner legend or any other suv.
Most of people in India buy a pickup truck as a ( बड़े बड़े शौक की चीज है) someone by Isuzu d Max secondary vehicle that the person who can afford it but Toyota hilux price was.
Nice pickup car but not sure how many Indians would be ready to shell out 40 lakhs rupees for a pickup car! It's a very American thing to own a pickup car, The market will develop in India only when more and more people will go off for camping/off roading..
What happens to this beautiful vehicle after 2027 once the diesel bans starts...
You should hv told its history, it has a good history known for libya vs chad civil war aka the toyota war.
In India the purpose of Hilux is only to provide an additional enjoyment to the rich people who are bored with their usual premium cars..Otherwise I don't think any common man can afford this and use it to assist in their profession what ever be it unlike abroad..Can anyone think of a plumber or carpenter or a construction guy coming in an Hilux and provide a service like in middle east or other countries😂
The day when plumbers carpenter and farmers will start driving Pickups like Hilux or even D max in India that day we can conclude India became a developed nation lmao
Missing talking cars
In Sri Lanka it has every corner once who buy they never sell again
What’s the point of buying such a rough and tough vehicle that can last forever but can’t use in certain places like Delhi and NCR region beyond 10 yrs or Kerala where you cannot get a white board registration, unless the loading capacity is reduced. This country is no good for auto enthusiasts
Fasbeam viewers 😊
Commercial vehicle for rest of the world
Nice🇸🇦
For Indian Prices and Norms Automobile Industries Struggles a lot.
Not affordable to buy for almost all people.
Indians in this generation are unlucky to enjoy the facilities and good products. Coz facing high living cost. And not affordable vehicles.. Even a Alto costs around 7 lakhs.
In India a pickup can never be a lifestyle vehicle, it is used to transport bricks that's what a pickup is in India
As an architect/construction manager, that is my lifestyle lmao.
