I don’t know if you realize it or not but I do believe these engines are all test ran at the factory that’s why they have residual oil in them to start with
I have to appreciate the fact that you went down a RUclips wormhole I call it the same thing. I bought a hrn series with the blade clutch three years ago. Excellent mower
I ordered mine from the opposite of Southern Tool for a better price than the big box stores and got it delivered for free. It's a nice mower. Honda is king in that market IMO. Thanks for the video!
I think only the HRX model lets you go between mulch and bag on their lever (purposely anyway). Maybe that works leaving it between the two on the HRN, I don't know. Seems like it would just end up sliding to one or the other. I just got one of these yesterday, but have been watching a lot of videos and saw that mentioned somewhere else. Good video. Nice and to the point. Thanks.
Did you ever build an engine? It's called a break in. Modern vehicles no longer require it so it has been long forgotten. This engine is basically old tech like an engine from the 80's.

The manual states to check the oil level without screwing in the dip stick.
There's so many damn mowers to choose from. Honda is what I'm leaning towards.

Glad to help, we really like this mower. Best we've ever had so far.

I thought you you changed it for the first time after 5 hours that's what I've always done.
