- I thank you for checking out this video, Im just your average guy having Fun with tools. I test tools out to see what these tools can do, and what they can't do. Please Subscribe to the channel and get that tool fix here. Have a great day!
For cutting metal, and making your blades last, that speed control dial on the Super Sawzall is king!
Truest review out there! “Depends where you buy your tools” is flat out facts. It all comes to personal preference.
In my opinion Home Depot has WAY better deals on MORE than just tools.
I thought the Flex was gonna disappoint after that first test, but I think it really came down to the sawhorse shaking around a bunch for whatever reason. The Flex seems like a great saw, especially considering its size. That shouldn't really be a surprise though, because parent company Chervon also makes Skilsaw and generally makes pretty top notch saws for all of their brands.
I think both tools did a great job
@@ManCaverTools I am thankful that you do a truth review unlike the tool review zone
The orbital on with the Milwaukee and the 4x6 seems super smooth looks like the Milwaukee is smoother with orbital on when the entire blade is in the wood
Milwaukee sawall are just beast . Working in demolition one week destroing a house with 12 inch wall sawall wide open all the time batery after baterie still working like a champ . Working under rain often and it still don't matter to love milwaukee tool
Nice Versus vid brother. I was suprised myself at how small the Flex was. It almost feels somewhat compact when you hold it. Great video Dave. Take care brother 👊
I thank you INT
You were fighting that Milwaukee quite a bit
both tools did a great job, vibration is going to happen cutting these big pieces of wood
Honestly both performs, but Milwaukee did much better with more speed and power...I used a Milw Recip Saw several years ago in a job site and kept going and going...using for hours to cut pipes non stop..Impressive tools...
Great video today. Thanks
I thank you Jim
I wouldn’t mind seeing the real DEWALT flex volt go up again both of them!! Keep up the good work!!
I will make that happen along tight the other reciprocating saws I have
@@ManCaverTools that would be awesome thank you
two nice saws
Enjoyed the video
I thank you Dan
Great video man !!
I thank you Paul
Imagine if you put the stacked lithium to compete with the high output battery you put in the supersawzall
try Metabo HPT vs Milwaukee super sawzall
Flex + Diablo =👍
I gotta do a real versus video with blades
Flex is generally considered to have less vibration than the Milwaukee.
it is much easier to handle. that Milwaukee is very heavy as well.
I’ve used my super sawzall to cut down multiple maple trees around 10 and 12 inch diameter definitely a heavy duty tool
Yo I like it I want that saw.
Concord carpenter head to head recip saw. They said the flex had less vibration
I look foward to milwaukee releasing a new version of the supersawall gen2 and i would like to see a gen 3 cir saw 😯
we will see what happens in the future :)
I'm with you on the string with weight which most people put 10lbs on, most people who use a recip saw put 40 to 50lbs of pressure on the saws
you need to feel the tool work when it comes to recipes saws. make adjustments if you feel the tool just going back and forth
Cool Dave
thank you Jamal
I was debating between the super sawzall and the Metabo HPT 36v but ultimately went with the Metabo because it was $100 bucks cheaper. I didn't consider the flex but it looks like its competitive for sure.
I had trouble with my Milwaukee fuels blade change within a couple months. It gathered dust for over a year before I spent two painstaking hours repairing it. Only lasted another couple months before the same problem occured. Grabbed the DeWalt flexvolt advantage and the Metabo 36v. I've abused the DeWalt but it doesn't have an adjustable shoe or rafter hook. Can't speak for the metabos longevity yet but the power is definitely there.
@@Tool_Addicted_Carpenter gotta oil it. Oil bath the tip
I’ve noticed the longer the stroke the quicker it will cut and that goes for all brands even if one is more powerful if the weaker one has a longer stroke it will still most likely beat the other.
stroke length is important. longer the cut, easier it is to complete the task
The longer stroke offers less control in close quarters. That's why I like the seemingly weak dewalt hackzall for certain things. The 5/8 stroke offers the most control on the market.
Hey which one of these has less vibration
The new makita xgt 40v 2nd version even has avt
Suggestion , put the tools in the description. I was ready to use your link if you had one 😐😂
Best Recip.saw on the Market .
The flex againt the milwaukee fuel gen 2
What kind of sawhorse vise are you using?
IF ANYTHING..the “extra vibration IS a deal breaker”
Flex 💪💪💯
I know every reviewer is tired of hearing they used the wrong battery, but the 216watt hours of the 12AH HD12.0 is closer in total output to the 192 watt hours of the 24v 8.0ah batter than the 144watt hours of the HO 8.0. The 8.0 Flex battery has 88% the total output of a 12.0, while the HO8.0 only has 75% of the output of the Flex 24v 8.0.
0:05 - "As you can see there's a slight difference in size, so please subscribe to the channel."
Does....does that make one saw bigger?
yes. Good job for pointing out something that is said.
Looks like the flex has way more vibration during the cut
during the beginning the flex did vibrate big time. that 1x6 is also cheap wood.
@@ManCaverTools looked like a 2x6 to me from the angle But yeah I agree it vibrated like may on the 1x6
Because chervon owns both flex and Kobalt the Flex Recip reminds me of Just a grey version of kobalt recip
Wrong! Ryobi is to Milwaukee as Kobalt is to Flex..
@@athannaelanderson3806 what are you saying?
@@haroldjones12 Ryobi and Milwaukee are owned by the same company, Ryobi is the homeowner version of Milwaukee same with kobalt to flex.
@@athannaelanderson3806 I didn't understand your other comment lol
@@athannaelanderson3806 my comme t had nothing to do with ryobi or Milwaukee and No my comment isn't Wrong Look it up Chervon Owns Both Flex tools and Kobalt tools
What kind of wood is that?
The Milwaukee weights almost 2 pounds more than the Flex? 😮
Dialblo amped carbide blades last forever bro
Metabo multi volt beats flex
To me orbital isn't really better it actually destroys blades quicker and can be dangerous if you forget to take the orbital off on metal
Geez that flex sounds like a chainsaw cutting through concrete yuck 🤮 great video that Milwaukee is smooth as butter amen about holding it I agree 1000% !!
both saws are a beast
The flex has alot less vibration believe it or not. Check out vcg construction on their test on vibration
Impressed the Milwaukee won on the steel pipe
Another great vid bro…great way for me to kill 15 mins… I’ve never found the need to get myself a sawzall… although I do own a hackzall which gets loads of use and always does the job… thanks for the content and keep them coming bro.
I thank you Gunn :)
Put a high output battery on the milwaukee
I did, I used the 8ah battery for both tools. you might need to watch the whole video
Half asleep just woke up, felt stupid saying it after lol
I haven't watched yet but I'm sure the Flex will win!
it was an even test actually, flex won some and flex lost some.
Both really good saws but the Milwaukee was better looks smother has lees of athrow the flex seems to be faster and have longer throw
Twisting a collet in order to insert a blade is, sometimes, difficult for us old carpenter's with arthritic hands. I'm tired of asking my someone to help me change, or insert blades. Hey manufacturers how about doing the old guys a solid and figuring out another way to do it without a tool.
it is old school, the lever on the side is a better feature now
DeWalt has the external lever that seems to be the most user friendly.
Wrong! You simply insert the blade in the flex, it has a quick insert collet since it’s not currently patented..
Makita has the best quick blade change imo.
@@Tool_Addicted_Carpenter never actually used a Makita recip, what’s the collet on the Makita like?
@@athannaelanderson3806 The blade just clicks in and then when you twist it for removal it shoots the blade out so you don't need to worry about broken blades getting stuck inside or having to shake hot blades out. When I go to work tomorrow I'll make a short video of it.
@@Tool_Addicted_Carpenter that’s exactly how the flex works though
@@athannaelanderson3806 Haven't used the Flex yet. Makita has had it for 10 years now.
The Milwaukee requires 12Ah battery. It sounds like can't hold the speed with an 8Ah battery. Retest in wood with the appropriate power source.
I can do a versus video with 12ah batteries, and I will
@@ManCaverTools okay, im curious 🙂
HAHA
the flex is WAY superior!
why don’t you say that? the flex is smaller AND performs better!!!
I made more than one video on these. I dont say the same thing in every video. I would sound like a broken record. I would buy the flex over that milwaukee. That milwaukee is old tech now
You are manipulating the results by putting extra force on the flex
you can see the extra force is slowing the blade-then you press harder!?
All you guys do your best too impress the red team! i wonder why?
maybe some free tools?
Milwaukee Supersawzall failed.
both tools did a great job
They both did great a better metal blade and slower speed will eat that metal like cheesecake seriously... Dave i have some blades if you need the dialblo man hooked me up and took pictures of me using dialblo sand net on a commercial job the sand net hooked up to my dewalt orbital with my packout vacume no dust at all when we started with regular paper and dust was everywhere sandnet took 99% of dust out of the air i have the new flex blades the new dialblo carbide blades and the new nitro carbide blades have you considered doing the challenge with @IMPACTNATION
The sanding nets are great with a vac. Couldn't believe how well they did when sanding a lot of drywall. They didn't perform well on PT though. I was cleaning up some treads to add some non slip stick on pads and I needed to switch to regular disks to take anything off. Was using 100 grit.
