Great walk thru guys! Lot of clever space saving ideas in this Van, this rig will definitely expand your options of where you can take the family whilst touring offroad. Looking forward to following your adventures. Congrats on the purchase, enjoy 👍😊
The kitchen is up in your face, that was one of the main reasons I didn’t buy one previously. Conqueror wasn’t willing to change this dangerous concept.
Traveling on a budget? These teardrop camper trailers offer affordability without compromising quality. Embrace the freedom to explore without breaking the bank. It's the perfect way to discover Australia's beauty without financial constraints.
Cheers mate. Yes that rear fold up is def a point for dust ingress being at the back of the van, the cabin pressure system is good, and currently being made even better. We are enjoying being able to have input into improving what we think is a great product and making it better, importantly the guys at Conqueror are listening.
Been watching all your content going around oz and reviews on gear. Please don't take it the wrong way as i can see what your trying to acheive with more remote offroad but i can't see your wife and the kids coping for space coming out of a very nice 19ft plus van. Being outside in shocking weather cooking and the pack up would become tiring after awhile. Hope it all works out for you guys cause we can see the joy in your review.
No dramas mate, before we had the Titanium we had a smaller van than the Conqueror which we spent 3 months straight in and before that we had a camper trailer and swags in between them all. Time to get back to camping a bit more. I agree that at times the weather will be testing, but that’s life. 🍻
01:15 I have four small, double ended carabiners that are placed when the over-centre latches are closed on the roof. They go on the dash or my car key-ring when the latches are open - it's a good check. A very good walk around. The tip about the awning legs is a great idea even though I have a mechanical awning which will work for me. The table option is very clever. What do you think about gas heating versus diesel heating? By the time I got my van, diesel heating wasn't an option, I wanted to go gas-less with induction cooking as I have 2 x 300Ah Lithiums, 1200W of solar and a 2300W inverter. My gas bottles are 2 x 4.5 with bespoke fittings, so I carry an eight kilo for the Weber Baby Q with standard fittings. You recently asked me a question about a DPF delete - it's not worth it if you require a pink slip every 12 months. In the ACT, it's possible for quite a while. Other States and Territories, not so. Any good exhaust shop can disguise a DPF delete, with the DPF construct remaining in place.
Thanks for the comment mate and a great tip with the carabiners. I’ve had both now and they both work really well(diesel and gas heating) it’s hard to pick a favourite yet.
They are an impressive unit, however I think the draw bar is too short and those boxes would get damaged easily. Not sure if you mentioned if there was solar on top and just wondering how much you could get into the pantry door bags and still be able to close the door. Surprised you didn't say too much about the rear suspension set up regarding the trailing arms. After watching your offroad vid, it appears the ramp over angle is compromised by the water tank and departure by the rear Step. You don't need that rear step and it wouldn't take much to damage it. Set up isn't too bad though. Also interested to know more about the composite panels and where they're made. Being a Chinese van concerns me also. Thanks for sharing
They don’t have anything from the inside, but that is a fair point that I will take to Conqueror. They do supply some small padlocks, but yeah something on the inside would be convenient.
Great looking van and well done on the new purchase. I may have missed it, but how much solar have you got and can you plug more in? Are you able to provide a rough ball park cost with the options you have? Happy camping
Hi guys, are conqueror looking to do a couples version where hey push the ensuite forward and loose the bunk? That would be mint. Also would you spend 8-9 months in one, just you and the missus?
Hey guys. They do have more models coming, but easier to Contact Conqueror www.conqueror4x4.Com.au As far as spending 8-9 months in one. The best answer that I can give is that we did 3 months with the four of us in a Jurgens Tufftrax about 6 year ago and it was smaller and without an internal shower toilet, so yes I would and mainly so we can do more offgrid and harder to reach places.
Hi Lee, sorry you feel this way but we haven’t used it enough yet to review it properly and this video was meant to be a walkthrough to show the van, yes we do like it though otherwise we would not have chosen it.
Hi Joel, Conqueror have had their issues in the past, but the guys are constantly improving the product. Where have you read the reviews we are always curious about peoples opinions.
Hey mate. The bed has surprised us so far as we thought it would not be that comfortable, we have slept well on it. Maybe add a topper for longer trips though. Honestly I haven’t measured ball weight, the compliance plate says 268kg at tare. So I would say it would be around 300kg. Our last van was 350kg ball weight and the uev14 doesn’t sag the rear of the ute anywhere near as much.
Hi Georgia, we were dreading the cushion mattress to be honest but so far we have slept really well on it and no topper as yet. You can order it as a fold up bed rather than a dinette.
What a great caravan, it looks pretty solid and plenty of practical solutions. And the weight figures are also so good, only 1,145Kg for the tare plus 255Kg for the payload. With the full tank of 190 liters of water, you can still have 65Kg available for whatever you need on holidays. Excellent product.
Hey guys, pretty much decided on the UEV14 for our hybrid choice. Would really like to adapt a bike rack. Have you worked out a way of doing this? Cheers.
Congratulations 🤙🏼. Yes it’s something I have been meaning to do and it would be fairly straight forward, keep an eye on our socials and RUclips. I’m onto it 🤙🏼
@@SmartTouringSystems a couple of further questions. Have you used the aircon yet? Is it any good? Is it loud? Do you have fans, ie. sirocco in the van? Is the heater loud under the bed? With the electric awning have you been in the rain and do you get rain coming between the awning and van? I know the 180 has a bit of a gutter with the bag but I do like the electric awning with an added privacy wall along the length when required. Thanks guys.
@@absicme1505 we’ve used the air-con only as a heater and it works fine, is about as loud as any other caravan air con.
