if you lost on summary judgment, you're already in a deep hole. Trump's testimony cannot overcome the overwhelming evidence that sank his case to begin with. Then, he continues to speak publicly on the case (i.e. boxing himself in) and leaving himself open to more perjury. So yes, it's reasonable to conclude he did horribly. We don't have video, but we have journalists reporting on the goings-on in the courtroom.

It seemed like he was trying to make it seem like Trump was somehow in the clear for what he did because either other people do it too (ex. with the square footage of apartments example he gave) or because somebody co-signed his fraud. Both cases are obviously very poor reasoning by any intelligent person looking to explore the case critically.

But with tha point you referenced, if it’s prevalent enough where, an average renter sees the misleading nature of landlords in New York. I.e. including the stairwell as square footage. It’s obviously happening frequently enough that it’s not a “lock him up issue” I agree Trump should be locked up and indicted for Tax fraud and doing his best to cause a coup. Calculating a businesses worth in that size is hard to do and can be subjective. Which is why you see stocks trading for more than their worth. He has financial assistants to do these things for him anyway. Charge the lawyers and tax people.

The reasons Trump's misrepresentation on his apartment is significant is A) he is a real estate developer B) the surveyor is his employee and C) he uses different numbers for taxes. This is NOT the same as "common" misrepresentation.
