Thanks for the help, i built a list similar to this one and ordered it two days ago from Cardmarket. I can't wait to play the deck with my friends
I too started out me magic life with the edgar precon. This is a greet build with the budget in mind. Personally for me i just keep buying cards to add and trying new things out. I have the luxury of playing tefris protection and resurrection. I just cracked a mondrak and added urzas incubator. Nothing like playing and mixing it up. I agree with some of over agro comments but just be careful you don't lose minus 50dkp because you didnt know wtf to dooo
Seems like a simple and effective update to Edgar. I still haven't built him, haven't felt like he is all that exciting. But I should really try to make his deck next so it's done.
I would love to proxy an Edgar Markov deck for me and my older brother to play. I would use this deck profile to help give me an idea of what to put in since I like this variant and also I can add in some tech pieces of my own like True Conviction, Berserkers Onslaught for double strike for example along with Strefan Maurer Progenitor that can help me cheat in Vampires with sacrificing blood tokens and enable triggers from Edgar Markov faster.
One card I like to run is Vault of the Archangel. Taps for colourless, but for 4 mana (2WB) you can tap it and give all your creatures lifelink and deathtouch until end of turn. Works really well if you happen to have Stromkirk Captain giving everything first strike.
its just good because it catches people off guard. i had faked a last turn all in attack into an eldrazi deck and they actually blocked with it on the field. good trick to have esp with cards that have effects for gaining life.
Hi, Edgar was my first commander and thanks to his resilience there are a lot of different strategy you can pick. Currently I'm tryng an orzov strategy with cards like Veinwitch Coven, pawn of ulamog and bastion of remembrance. But there are always new card that can be really good addition, my new discovery for example is invasion of new capenna
I have a dedicated aristocrats Edgar build. No budget. It's fucking nasty.

currently thinkering around with a rakdos vampire tribal deck, with a few limitations:
can not cost more, than 30$ and must have nice artwork
currently with strefan maurer as the commander, just to cheat in 6 mana vampires at turn 4 - 5...
current price is around 27$, but i could cut 6-7$ with switching 2 cards...
uses cards like the oni-cult anvil to get creatures to sac, then the butcher of malakir, indulgent artocrat, scion of opulence and veinwitch coven ("expensive", but can do a lot for this deck, combined with blood artist, it can even help go invinit... needs almost the entire deck in play, but can...)
most expensive land is bojuka bog, most cards are around 0.01 - 0.2$
Love Love Love your deck techs man! the more I looked and playtested this the more fun I have had with it!

This is a level 6 commander, there’s so many things you could do to make this deck play better

@@richardmolano5538 in my Markov deck I run less spot removal, less mana rocks and instead lots more 1-3 mana vampires, exquisite blood, sanguine blood and a couple of tutors. One of the main features of Markov is going wide - play a vampire, get a vampire etc. Then with your anthems/anthem creatures (including doors of destinies), +1/+1 counters and life drain you can overrun most opponents.
No Edgar is a level 6 as long as all the creatures are vamps…
Would love to see an update with new stuff from Blood Rites
I watched this as Edgar was my first commander it’s still my fave commander. I run him for lifegain as people fear any Edgar players. I don’t even run mana rocks, only Sol Ring and a lot of low cmc vamps to ramp fast. You can one shot people with Blood Tribute as long as you have Vito or Sanguine Bond out and don’t even get me started on how you can go infinite with vamps like Vito and Exquisite Blood. I don’t want to say the way you built Edgar is wrong but I can’t help but think you put more effort into ramping than taking advantage of Edgar’s eminence(which is why people don’t ever cast him lol).

interesting build though personally there are at least a dozen cards i would take out for "better" things and it would also make the deck cheaper by a bit as well.
Why no necropotence for card advantage? Also, since you have Vito, you should make room for Exquisite Blood for the combo win

If I were to use this decklist but wanted to replace a card with a Sorin Planeswalker what card should I swap out and what Sorin should I use?
That's a good question. I like Sorin, Vengeful Bloodlord because he's got reanimation effects. And the lifegain is nice as well.
still have no idea how "all will be one" is great for edgar deck
Whenever Edgar attacks, he puts a +1/+1 counter on each Vampire we control. All Will Be One deals damage based on the number of counters we put on stuff.

I think your Mana base is wrong. I know i am backseat driving I'm sorry, but there's no way you only need three swamps when you have three mountains. The way this deck skews black theres no way it is even across the board. How do you still feel about dusk legion, 2 mana, lose life and draw a card? Has it preformed well? How has running 12 spot removal worked out for you I like playing more of a control play style, and I love single Target removal but normally it hasn't worked out for me.
ahhh this video hurts my eyes, so many talismans signets and artifact based ramp thats a trap in an AGGRO deck that wants to play creatures instead of ramping!!!!
I've heard that before but I have to disagree. The only thing I cut lands/ramp for is cantrips.
I agree with u 100%, mi Edgar Markov deck is full of 1 black vampires, and have 0 mana artifacts (no solring or arcane signet) and infinite life gain/life lose loops combos with sanguine bond, exquisite blood, vito etc etc. U dont even need cast Edgar, at turn 5-6 u are strong enougth to kill anyone. And the mana base is so much simple than this one... I dont even need to test this deck upgrade to see that mine is much cheaper, is more efective than this one.

I noticed at least in my playgroup, by the time you set up your ramp pieces and cast your vampires, a boardwipe follows soon after.
For me, I cut out the rocks in exchange for higher land count and more cheap vampires. That way you've flooded the board by turn 4/5 and can easily rebuild provided you don't cheap out on card draws.

Too many mana rocks and there are better vampires that play faster or have better Etbs. Is this deck tested vs power 7+ decks...?

Yup! Lands only have a color identity when they tap for a specific color of mana.
