He was my very first commander back when I bought his precon deck... very great commander for different levels of power! I later switched to a Scarab God deck but I still use him in the 99... Nice video and keep up the good work! 💜
I tried it (Scarab god) and it didn't work out so well we also tried Gisa and Geralf but we didn't like the self-mill so we are stuck with Wilhelt for now.
Maybe we will try Scarab God again in the future and see how it plays out!
And thank you for your positivity and comments it means a lot to us ^^
I did the same, now I use army of the damned and throne of the god pharoph
I just recently brought this back out from the grave since there's the new Gisa and Geralf that can help it out. I have just about the same build, but using a few more non-zombie pingers like Ayara, First of Lochtwain for ETB triggers, Syr Konrad for mill and death triggers, and Blood Artist to get the "commit a crime" trigger for the new Gisa while draining. While Geralf helps with additional etb triggers since you get additional zombies after the first spell you've cast.
There are 2 awesome zombie cards coming from mh3……marionette apprentice and Warren soultrader just add grave crawler for gg.
Really nice deck concept, eventho I would love to see some more underrated/nieche commanders. It always feels so refreshing seeing a underused card find a home in a new deck. For example I just build a Zoyowa lava tongue deck, and i'm having a blast playing it. Would love to see your take on this commander (if the rakdos spot is still open in your 32 challange)
Much love from italy, rly love the content! :)
Thank you so much for your comment it means a lot to see people enjoying the videos me and Nuno are doing.
We have two commanders that we are planing to do videos on next that more underused and nieches and one of them is indeed Rakdos!
It is not Zoyowa...BUT Zoyowa is indeed on the deck, its Laughing Jasper Flint, the other deck is our Gyome, Master Chef, we are gonna decide what to do next but for sure 100% its gonna be one of these two.
This is one of my main decks.
You should add walking ballista……..cast mikaeus then cast walking ballista for 0, triggers undying remove counter to deal 1 damage and gg.
Also as an altar blasting station is a great choice as well.
there are so many options with this deck, ultimately we didn't want to do non zombie combos so ended up cutting those out of the deck.
Sorry to correct you on this one but the combo doesn´t work like that. The problem is that Mikaeus gives WB a static +1/+1 as it is a non-human. So Walking ballista needs to be saced to a sac outlet to go infinite becasue it doesn´t die even if you cast it for 0. If you want a truly 2 card combo with Mikaeus it is with Triskellion because Triskellion can use the last +1/+1 counter to target itself to kill it for undying to trigger.
@@macces82 thx and yea I figured it out later and yes, sub triskelion for infinite but harder to execute on the same turn; however there is still the rooftop storm/acererak combo.
Muito bom !
Why is neither of the Gisa's or her brother Geralf in the deck?
Multiple reasons:
Ghoulcaller Gisa and Stitcher Geralf - too much mana
Gisa, the Hellraiser // Gisa, Glorious Resurrector // Geralf, the Fleshwright - the abilities don't relate really well with our deck
Gisa and Geralf - we had it in our list but ended up replacing it for Havengul Lich, to avoid milling wincons by mistake.
Geralf, Visionary Stitcher - its good if our plan is attaking, however, this is not our main win con so it doesnt do as much
Not being Zombies themselves also doesnt help ^^
Wait, I didn't think -1/-1 counters were removed when +1/+1 counters were applied.
704.5r "If a permanent has both a +1/+1 counter and a -1/-1 counter on it, N +1/+1 and N -1/-1 counters are removed from it, where N is the smaller of the number of +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters on it."
If you wanna take a look boardgames.stackexchange.com/questions/8599/what-happens-when-a-creature-with-persist-and-undying-dies-return-to-battlefi
Years ago, creatures kept the tokens and just added them up. That changed, the tokens cancel each other.
I used to play a very similar list, i switched to a go wide strategy because it can get boring after a while,
Same reason why we don't run that much protection, to avoid the games running always the same as is very easy to break the game with zombies, this way the deck is strong but it can be stopped and you still have fun playing it, a go wide is also interesting though, maybe someday we will do something similar to that
@@EdhSpellcasters Also, have you thought about swapping Gisa and Geralf with Havenghul Lich? It's one more mana, but you don't risk milling your combo pieces.
@@ginobarone9505 you know what, I am always switching the 2 around for each other, I think Im gonna switch them again and leave the lich in instead of gisa and geralf
Acererak is one of the worst zombies in the entire game. Even with rooftop storm. It's the only zombie that is countered by killing it.
Cast acererak for free. It enters the battlefield and its trigger goes on the stack. Kill it. That's it.
