Used to run gilderbairn in this, I can't remember the name of the card but I used it with an elf that gave me mana by giving it -1/-1. Infinite mana machine. Much better choices in here though, but you can do a lot of cute things with Ezuri :D

Def need a budget version

Ziatora is my favourite jund commander, and I agree, she isn’t threatening on first glance. My version of the deck is very different (think big fling) but I like this take on it!

Loving the deck so far. However, I notice in more creature heavy pods I’m struggling to keep planeswalkers alive / defend my life total with such few creatures. I’m considering cutting some of the discard package for a few creatures or more removal/counters. Do you think the deck would still be solid if one takes that route, or are all of the discard pieces necessary? Loving the deck! Thanks for the videos.

Look up spike feeder, you can remove 1 +1/+1 for 2 life gained... end each turn doubling +1/+1 counters as you can place a counter for a single life gained 🤷‍♂️

Should I use this as a template for a Kaito deck? I searched "Kaito" in your videos and this is the only one that showed up

I'm kinda new and I have a question regarding Nethroi. If Nethroi dies and goes to the commander zone, does its mutate cost increase the same way as its summoning cost ?

Marrow-Gnawer is my commander for my rat deck. I actually have Thornbite and Ashnod's Altar for a win con. It's the only combo in the deck. It's a pretty fun deck to play.

Nice build - I have Jund Goblins with Slimefoot and Squee as the commander - it’s not deliberately strong but given that most of the deck is goblin or goblin adjacent it is always a hilarious flavour win

Why can't you use Mountain instead of Snow Covered Mountain? I'm new to the game, so I'm still learning the basics.

I really like your deckbuilding videos, especially the ones involving Kess dissident mage since I'm somewhat new to the spellslinging archetype and could draw a lot of inspirations from them. However I think with Omo you missed out on a lot of possible strong and game ending spells. Doppelgang for example is simply made for her. You'r able to pump all the mana that your collecting in a big X spell thats also capable of copying lands like Field of the dead, Cloudpost and so on for huge landfall turns (same goes for agressive biomancy once you'r able to make your lands into creatures). Also spreading the number of creatures so thin seems like a non optimal approach to me. Every trigger of Omos ability always hit both, a land and a creature - and not utilising one of those counters seems like a lost opportunity to me. Last but not least there are some landfall creatures that I think are missing especially Springheart Nantuko and Greensleeves, Maro Sorcerer. I tinkered a lot with my own list and am quite happy with how it turned out in the end - but it took a lot of time to balance out the amount of synergystic creatures, utility lands and spells till I hit the spot. Anyways - thanks for your content and keep up the great work.

Nice Decklist

I have 2 rat decks. Commanders are wick the whorled mind and vren the relentless. Of the 2 wick uses more rat tribal strategies to spam rats so I can give wick infect and commit chemical warfare using the snail. Vren is more of a control deck using edicts but still has some rat tribal cards to buff his tokens.

I feel flyers are often underestimated. There are several cards that can give a creature reach until the end of turn. High stride, get a leg up, mighty leap, ECT. If you want a reach card that's an all in one package, Silklash spider is a good addition. Since you're not playing with abilities, shooting down thousands of flyers all at once is a great way to invest in your multitude of unspent mana.

Zul is sooo good! I think she is a strict upgrade in zombie decks for Lord of the Undead in the 99. Varina Lich Queen is still the best zombie commander in my opinion. The access to white and blue just gives you so much more flexibility to go the token route, counter magic/draws, and cool zombies that aren’t in just black. Mostly Varina is the engine though that does all the things you want it to- 1. Attack 2. Loot and filter hand and graveyard, mass reanimate/reanimate. Zul is a great piece to get your best zombies back.

if Zul Ashur targets Fleshbag Marauder. can you cast him. sacrifice him, then re cast him in the same turn? Zul Ashur does say "You may cast target Zombie creature card from your graveyard this turn" so does that last even if it goes back into the gy?

Is adding some Relentless Rat (something like split 5 and 5 with Rat Colony) a worse idea?

You make a good point. I hope they make more cards like this. I plan to out this in my new Valgavoth deck now to force people to interact with me on their turn more rather than mine, and I'd like more red stax cards that do that.

Awesome thanks for the insight. I had Sivriss and AotIT in my necron deck with Imotekh as commander but then I realized he didn't quite made the cut. From there I began cutting and adding stuff and ended up with sort of a hybrid between ariatocrat and graveyard 😅 I'm still working on it.

Atla doesn't sit right with me... It feels too cheap of a win. Also! Evolving Egg would've been a decant add. You would build it up! Only to Sac it to trigger Commander. Then, Discover X to hit another creature. Overwhelming Stampede is another "I Win" card people could add.

Plugged this deck list in Forge and it WON! Gonna update my Shelob deck and play it next time with the boys! Thank you so much fun and a lot more streamlined, I did use the bow to destroy my opponents creature with ease.

Been my favorite commander since her release in Commander 19. I have reached a build i'm pretty excited about - with plenty of infinite combos like Ashaya, Soul of the Wild + Nesting Dragon + Any free sac outlet. Being able to manipulate top deck with Scroll Rack/Worldly Tutor/Enlightened Tutor/Congregation at Dawn for more consistent Atla triggers while getting rid of bulky big creatures in hand. Fast mana like Rite of Flame/Elvish Spirit Guide/Simian Spirit Guide/Lotus Petal for better chance of playing Atla turn 1 (best case) or 2. Plenty extenders with Samut, Voice of Dissent/Ghired, Mirror of the Wilds/Luminous Broodmoth/Maskwood Nexus/Annie Joins Up/Harmonic Prodigy. Running Kozilek, Butcher of Truth/Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre to be mill-proof while them still being intimidating if they hit the board and Greater Gargadon for an un-interactable sac outlet for when you wanna go infinite - if you keep activating it's ability before actually letting it resolve on the stack. Uhh.. how could i forget - Terror of the Peaks for infinite burn or just swing with your humongous army once you get Samut, Voice of Dissent to give everyone haste. Also shout-out to Defense of the Heart for bascily winning if it gets to resolve as it'll usually put Ashaya and Nesting Dragon to then go infinite. I've played this deck 4 times now. Won half, lost half. It feels inconsistent, but too soon to be certain about that. It does feel to be about where I wanted it to be in terms of power levels. Slightly above a precon. It seems to feel very burst with really bad recovery. All or nothing.

Love the video! I found this commander background combo in my bulk and was inspired to build. This video gave some great inspiration, thanks!

Unfortunately basic is a super type (like legendary) if super types worked as well it means most of the basic lands would die due to the legend rule
