I remember years ago when you first were explaining wiring diagrams, and showing how coloring the various circuits - ground, power, etc. - made things so much easier to understand. It really helps. By the way, you look great.
You could easily spend 1 to 2 hours just gathering the mode of operation and wiring diagrams before one even begins to troubleshoot and spend another 2, 3, or 4 hours of removing panels for access on the vehicle before you find the problem then have fix it. Final cost to the customer $1500??????? Crazy!!!!
Best is to check commands if you can see it through live data using a scan tool for the AC control unit and check the pressure switch continuity. It is possible that the compressor is not getting the power it needs (damaged wire, etc).
After looking carefully at the video, I did not see other variables that could prevent the PCM from commanding signal to the AC Clutch relay, my issue was that I did not see the ground signal at the relay pin and I checked continuity at the pressure switch to ensure that it wasn't open. Perhaps bad PCM diode or wiring from PCM to AC relay or bad wiring from pressure switch to PCM. I did not diagnose further. This video explains clearly, my thought was that the other switch within the AC pressure (for the fan speed control) was another variable that the computer needed in order to fully control the ground signal to the PCM to prevent compressor damage, etc.
would a going bad or fraying high pressure 4 pin connected at the compressor cause the ac blower fan motor behind the glove box to work intermittently? i watched this a couple times im still trying to understand this
Thank you, Very informative. On my 2003 Odyssey , I start the van, I press AC on and the clutch and fan engage for about 5 seconds and then go off and stay off, button doesn't turn it back on, I can only get it to work for 5 seconds again if I turn it off and restart, Any ideas?
first thing to check is put gauges on it, watch how they respond. Could be low on pressure, low side immediately drops, or restriction, high side immediately goes way up
It's a really great video, but could you help me out with my 98' 1.6 16v Lancia Dedra? :) it has a 4 pins switch, but I can't figure it out the functions of the wires.
@@realfixesrealfast It's a shame, but it's an old vehicle, so the diagram dosen't contain the switch's inner structure. I managed to find 12v in one of the wires and if I short circuit it with a pilot light with one of the wire's the fan starts, but not the compressor. And I don't know what the other 2 wires do. I try to figure it out if this is the problem that prevents the ecu to let 12v to the compressor and ground to the fan.

Using the schematics along with your excellent teaching is priceless!
I had not ringed the bell thus I didn't get notified of your videos, bell has been rang. Great work.
Great teaching as always, Duane. Thank you! 👍
Looking good, Duane!
Thanks for the awesome video!
Thanks for the explanation, you have the heart of a teacher. Happy to see your videos again.
Great....I think electrical is thee best class to learn for Automotive. Can't do without it. Thanks
Brilliant! I sure like the way you zoomed in to help us read the diagram.
Thanks for making this video...very informative...here a new suscriber of your channel
This series is fantastic and this video is the icing on top. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Nice video and nice job, your explanation is the best, easy to understand. Thanks for the video👍👍👍.
Thanks for your time to explain this. Very good. Looks like this Honda uses a similar system to Ford Mondeo and Toyota Corolla.
This was really helpful. Thank you 🙏
Your explaining and video are priceless !!
Thank you
Unfortunately I can't read or interpret fuse diagrams, good thing I'm not an electrician. Very wise explanation & good effort in the video...
Great Explanation, That Looks Like an Expensive Program.
Thank you Duane. Good job. Have a blessed and safe week.

Thanks for the video.. What if u make some videos on Mobile PCB as well. You are the best ever teacher on You Tube.
Great explanation, i hope the average brain can understand, great video
Good to see you staying sharp Duane! Do you have a program that highlights your wiring diagrams like you are showing?
Thank you. Great presentation of information!
Great video and information ! Thank you Sir !
Very intresting

U r one smart cookie!!!
Great video
Great as always thanks appreciate
Dem diagrams sure get complicated. Need a shot of bourbon.
Thank you for this great video lesson! It will be helpful to have the print of the wiring diagram. Please, can anybody help me?

Nice Job Thank You Sir!!!
Magistral
I wonder why Honda engineers chose this circuitry?
Nice !
how about if it 3 wire? is it have the same principle switch sensor??
Video tutorial sir for Toyota wigo.. Thank you
Thanks!
I have a good one for u it's a 08 chrys.sebring it shifts good until code 760 pops up it goes in too limp mode

Stroke Warrior ok Thank you
Hot to pressure switch bypass low pressure resistance 4 pins ty
When you did the grounds why didn’t you draw the green through the ac compressor relay coil?
because it was not a ground "at rest"
Because it goes to the pcm and it provides the ground. Hard to understand

I'll do my best, what exactly is your question AND it the diagram in the video the same as your vehicle ?

@@trefasnyul1 I will take a look at it and get back to you soon. I need your email so I can send three-ply directly to you

this is really overwhelming.
Just say no to Honda. The wires are made from soybean based insulation. Mice , Rodents love them. Lol
