    THANK YOU for this video. Turns out my 2007 Honda Accord just needed a $44 relay to kickstart the AC compressor. Pretty sure the dealership would have tried to sell me a new compressor altogether for hundreds of $$$s, had I taken it there. So grateful for your diagnostics & bless you for this channel!

    I have a 2010 Acura RL, switched out bot the AC relay and 40A fuse relating to the AC. For some dumb reason i replaced my cabin filter (it was dirty anyways). Low pressure is where it should be according to the manual. However it keeps blowing warm/hot air. It's about 95-100 F over here where I live so i can't tell the difference but it's not cold. Once I try jumping the switch, can I just pop connection back on the switch? Or if the compressor works, is that an indicator that I could have a bad switch and would have to service the whole thing and pump the freon out?

    I'm not a mechanic, and I'm not crazy either but, I am confused.
    1) What "pin" was pushed @4:21 - 4:24
    2) is(n't) the compressor the inch to inch and a half belt that's turning? Or, is it the thin metal part on the side of the wide belt...because my wide belt is moving...and it moves weather the ac is on or off.
    3) What were you doing with/to the copper part before you stuck it in the plug? Do you ride around with the copper in or, will it work from that point?

    What I learned is that once the compressors goes u have to change everything brand new for it to work Becuase I did the same thing with the fuse I changed the fues but nothing still doesn’t want to hold the air the next morning only for the whole day . Maybe the ac pressure switch maybe ? Idk I haven’t touched that but the thing is when I put the cold air it hold pressure

    • @RBTheMechanic
      @RBTheMechanic  2 года назад +2

      I don’t think u have diagnosed the issue the fuse and relay are basics ac compressor u have to check if it got power on the control cable how ever ur pressure has to be good so pressure switch can activate the system to come on all work togather but start with checking ac pressure with gauges fuse and relay of all check out check to see if there’s power at ac compressor then u can rule out if compress is good or bad

    My 2007 Honda CRV the ac works great except on hot (95F) days. After running for about 20 minutes the ac goes warm. The clutch disengages. This remains like this for 20 minutes and then it goes to blowing cold again. Then repeats. I have had Freon checked, replaced compressor clutch relay with no resolution. Does this sound like the ac high pressure switch?

I replaced the compressor and the fan. Turned it on and the compressor blew the valve and leaked everything out. Replaced drier, compressor (again) evap core expansion valve both lines, pressure switch, literally everything in the system is new. Worked 1 day and blew it off again. I just spent 2000.00 on the AC and I'm at a loss. Is there anything you can think of? All fuses work relays everything. I do DoorDash for a living so I rely on my AC and it just stopped working this morning. I have a 2007 Honda Accord 2.4 4 cylinder It worked completely fine yesterday and blew ac fine. Now I went in to start driving and tried turning it on and the controls for the AC don’t do anything, I can’t press them but the AC does not turn on. 😓 I know almost nothing about cars to be honest or how to troubleshoot.

      I did swap it and nothing worked I replaced both relays in the engine bay and both 7.5 fuses the one in the engine bay and the inside one by the driver. I did a little research The compressor up front is activating and spinning. I don’t think it’s the high and low pressure thing because it’s not coming on on any setting. Not sure what else it could be.
