TOP. Like fine wine they get better as the decades go by. I’ve known this group since the 70s and here we are in 2022 and they’re still doing their thing better than ever on my goodness
8 dislikers were probably @ the wrong side of town...This album is alive and kicking! Especially if u realize that Dave & Marc nearly escaped the grimm reaper..deep respect to all of T.O.P
Just saw them last night at the State Fair in St Paul. Sounded magnificent! Nobody pushes and funkifizes like Dave Girabaldi. The horn section as usual was amazing. I really liked Marcus' vocals as well. He's a dynamite performer. Docs bari scoops and his songwriting are top notch. And above all, after 50 years they're still Diggin' on James Brown!
Happy 50th y'all! Love this! Tops here! Just grooving! Can't sit still!! Leave all your cares behind, on the Soul side of town!! Yehhhhhhhh baby! Sounds of the 70s Soul Train here love this!!!!!!
Love it. Classic tune from the new album from the tightest soul band around. Played last night at Cheltenham which just blew us away. 50 Years down the line and still making great music. Can't wait for the new album to come out in June and then the 50th anniversary DVD / CD in the future . Thank you T.O.P.
And again a great album of a great band. I've been a huge fan of these guys for decades and that will definitely not change when listening to this. I just love their music!!!
Oh! My! Good! GAWD! I'm digging the hell out of the production. It's modern but classic - y'know? Marcus sounds phenomenal! I'm hearing a DEEP Stevie Wonder influence. I'm already in love and it doesn't come out for another month!
Love this new groove. Although I have always preferred LB, Marcus did a great vocal on this one. Looking forward to new grooves in TOP's 50th year. When will the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame come knocking? Come on. 50 years and still no invite?
#soul
50 years strong and still funky! Great tune; has a funky, r&b groove that is a blend of TOP's sound with a little bit of Stax/Atlantic Records sound of the sixties. And is that the Doctor blowing in the background?
Marcus reminds me of a young Wilson Pickett, some Stevie Wonder and James Brown into a funky hybrid.................Excellent, love the Jools Holland performance.
I think Marcus took some time to fully "alchemize"? with the band. He's sounds great here and as much as I miss LB...........Marcus is the man!.......Time Will Tell.
Sorry Marcus, but I think we should start a petition to get Larry Braggs back. Marcus is a good singer but he doesn't have the depth that LB had. Sounds like he's screaming all the time.
TOP. Like fine wine they get better as the decades go by. I’ve known this group since the 70s and here we are in 2022 and they’re still doing their thing better than ever on my goodness
The band Oasis played some covers of them back in the day in S.F.
I heard this for the 1st time on Radio Caroline today , brilliant groovy track on a very good station 🎶
Another great lp by the fellas... funky still damn near 70? lawd have mercy
TOP = More than 50 years layin' down unrelenting grooves and delivering unparalleled funk !! ❤

Oh! My! Good! GAWD! I'm digging the hell out of the production. It's modern but classic - y'know? Marcus sounds phenomenal! I'm hearing a DEEP Stevie Wonder influence. I'm already in love and it doesn't come out for another month!
Let's not forget Credit to Dave Eskridge with Horn arrangements.
Absolutely! The horns all over this album are as good I've ever heard them.
The drums sound awful, pity, good groove.....
Love this new groove. Although I have always preferred LB, Marcus did a great vocal on this one. Looking forward to new grooves in TOP's 50th year. When will the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame come knocking? Come on. 50 years and still no invite?
TOP and Little Feat, as well as so many others deserve it but never get considered
TheTOP horns have backed almost everybody in the HOF. Pretty soon we'll have Jay-z and Kanye West in the HoF but no TOP. That's just sad. Truly sad.

SOUL SIDE OF TOWN THAT'S WHERE I'M FROM (JUMP SHOT JOHNSON) HILL DISTRICT PITTSBURGH, PA.
To me this track and the whole albuim is a total burner. TOP hotter than ever, theses guys must be about 20 years old ... :D
Wow!!!! The Funky Doctor had some serious solo space! That was awesome.
That sounded like Politzer on bari!
its TP on the solo
On Doc's Bari....
Michael Joe Yeah, I knew it had to be Politzer. TOP would've had more bari solos over the years if Doc played like that!
Greg- I had the same reaction, like- "I didn't know Doc soloed", but then realized it was Tom.
😊👍Great Tune!!!!

Hey may sound good on a recording. Live to much screaming. Just my opinion
Completely agree. But based on the live performances here, he seems to be toning it down a bit. Good move.
Should have proof read that I meant to say East Bay Grease
