Followed this guide to figure out why my son's DVD player was not recognizing the discs. Turns out his little brother put a large coin into it...reassmbled and it works... 😂
This is a ps4 not dvd player lol
I'm so glad you're here to tell us these things.@@Ginger_Jack
Please tell me he uses it for Gaming aswell 😂
Just bought one second-hand from GameStop (I know, I knew I was testing my luck), got assaulted by dismembered roaches when I opened the box. This was really easy to follow to clean the console out, looks so much better now
😂🤣 🤣
That's disgusting. Thankfully you were able to clean it.
Thank you for this! Bought a second hand ps4 pro from a friend of mine, was filthy inside made the 747 nosies and actually was very slow loading thongs like 'dropping into fortnite map' followed your vid and she is SO MUCH BETTER NOW!! just one thing the putting back together bit was a little confusing (got there in the end) thank you for this content, saved me a trip to the local gadget man! Keep up the good work!!❤❤❤
It's much better now.Thank you. It's really working.
No more airplane in the house.
Lol
Good walk through
2:25: The shiny wobbly thing might be an electromagnetic interference (EMI) shield. Nice vid- thanks!! 😊
thx master
Same console.same colore..i juste finish ed the thermal pate change op following u step by step...so thanks à lot
Super profesional job !
The ps4 pro is a beautiful console
I feel like that is just way too much thermal paste
It's the perfect amount of thermal paste! 😄
I would say the power supply cable is not difficult to remove their is a technique that requires very little force. The connector sits in a U shaped housing that is attached to the mother board of you look closely you can see a notch mid way up the connector you can wedge in the needle tips of the tweezers and use a fulcrum style rocking motion and it separates pretty easy.
This is the most damaged part in a previous repaired ps4pro and the cause of many dead systems as people rip the receptor right off the motherboard
Wish I have read this comments first. I added just a little too much force and removed the connector from the board. R.I.P PS4 :-(
Thank you so much
what kind of screwdriver? 0:44 (couldnt hear)
I did exactly that, now my fan is quiet but runs slowly, had to take off top cover to actually see if it's on, but doesn't speed up when console gets hotter , not a clue what to do.
Removing the power supply/hard drive and a few screws/disconnect wires on the other side.
The "Entire" motherboard with both metal panels wiggle out at an angle without needing to take it all apart.
You won't have to repaste or anything. : )
Just found this out.
Omg bro after I put that thing,my ps4pro jet is gone!!!!!! run very quiet!!!!
hey awesome video, quick question, mine kinda smells like my friends fish tanks, think a soak in the tub with the plastic parts is safe?
Well, you would have to take it apart and investigate if it's okay.
WIBBILY WOBBOLY THING 🗣️
Good evening, I changed the thermal paste and I could play for 2 weeks without any noise and 2 weeks later after disassembly they gently start making noise again but a lot is this normal? As if the thermal paste dried in 2 weeks we would say?
Are you experiencing lag or stuttering in games? Depending on the quality of the thermal paste or the way it makes good contact with the heat sink and cpu or not it could cause issues and the it overheats
@@TechGadgetsMedia I have mx4
So, I need your help, I followed your guide TO THE LETTER...minus the thermo paste...had none on hand at the time, but it doesn't look bad, I could replace it no issue...if that's my problem.
My problem, my ps4 won't turn on. When I try to I get 3 long beeps and a pulsing blue light then it powers down. The disc drive takes and ejects the CD and the controller and power button both have the same result. The only thing I've noticed is the MB doesn't match up perfectly for some reason. The pegs align and most of the holes line up but the ones around the thermopaste spot do not so I have 8 Phillips screws remain and 2 torx screws. Not sure what I am doing wrong.
After a quick Google search I found that 3 beep code relates to either a software or a minor microprocessor issue.
Have you tried to start the console in safe mode? (Hold the power button for 7 sec until you hear two beeps)
@TechGadgetsMedia I did yes, I got nothing in response.
Also, THANK YOU FOR RESPONDING!!!
I figured it out. I messed up the assembly in a simple way and the system decided to rebel against my mistake! Got it to boot in safe mode then to finalize the boot sequence. Thanks again for the response and attempt at help! Greatly appreciated!
Glad you figured it out!
he makes it look so easy, but it is likely going to take me 10 hours
*(and i don't go to repair shops because they are all scammers in my area/nearby)
Which PS4 pro models are cuh-7215b(US) series, with the figure 8 power cord?
I know of the Red Dead Redemption 2 bundle...are there any others?
Looks more like a documentary than an actual assembly. Lots of video scenes are not clear like wi-fi Bluetooth wires, improper angle during disassembly
Perfect through and consise. Everything I needed to know and see an a short video.
Are Torx T8 and phillips head screwdrivers enough?
If it’s a security torx yes
Haha, yes, of course. We've never used it to watch a bluray movie, out of the fear I have from back when that used to mess up a PS2...
they are not hot, because they are memory for short time, for the apu session process.
Is the 70% isopropyl alcohol ok to use?
Should be just fine!
Warranty void stickers not legal or enforceable in the USA.
my ps4 pro is smelling like it was smoker who had it any idea how to get smell gone?
Yeah pull it apart and dunk all the parts you can in a 99% alcohol ultrasonic bath. This should greatly remove the smell and give you a clean ps4 as a bonus
Beautiful Video! Thanks Bro!
Ok do u need torques
Just did it today, none of my torque screwdrives or bits fit ones on my PS4. It uses torx security. I managed with some pliers and flat head. Would be easier with the proper tool.
Wish he should where each screws go
Thank my ps4pro good and not overheating
Can you turn it on just right after you assemble it again or you have to wait a hours before you start using it again?
You can turn it on. No need to wait.
Is it necessary to use alcohol on the qtip to get rid of the old thermal paste or can I wipe it off with a paper towel and then apply new thermal paste?
Remove the old paste with alcohol pads and then apply new paste
Hello please i do the same steps and when i want turn it on don't want just give 1 second of blue light and turn off i don't know why ?
Maybe missed something like a cable you forgot to plug back in?
are u already fix the problem?any updates?
Can i do all this without replacing the thermal paste? Cause i want to deep clean my ps4 but i dont have thermal paste
I would advise you to replace the thermal paste as well. It's probably not a good idea to put it back as it is if you disassemble it.
Amazon, eBay, your local computer shop etc
@user-wz2nw9vy8t if you are first time doing this then stick with thermal paste.
I appreciate your video, I was able to clean my Ps 4 pro. Grill was pretty much completely covered with dust. I have also replaced thermal paste. Now its all quite
I need mine clean help me it’s hard and I don’t have the tools
@markmarco9268 well it's kinda impossible without the tools
Applying thermal paste 4:02
Tried fixing my ps4 ended up destroying my ps4
Nice make a tutorial
I watched your video and tried to clean it,then I destroyed it myself.😅
Blimey.. what happened?
@@TechGadgetsMedia 2:39,I pulled the whole thing out when I pulled that plug😭
@@TechGadgetsMedia the soldering pad was broken,i don't know if it can be fixed.😭
Oh yeah that's the PSU connector.. I was struggling with that at first as well. Well if you have pulled the pad as well then maybe it needs new trace to be installed. If you can't do it then ask for a professional to do the soldering.
Now you are a destoryer😂
