Looks great! Always looking for meat alternatives as I have a family history of Cancer so need to avoid the BLV, lead and pesticides in meat. Thanks for sharing
Wowsie! I just made your TVP High Protein tacos and I could only eat half a serving. In an hour I’ll eat the other half. There are so many different ways of preparing this. I chopped up some white onions and sauted them prior to adding the TVP mixture to the pan. Yummy! Thank you Joey and Tim.
I just took this for lunch this week and I still cant believe I get two tacos stuffed to the point where they are ripping and for less than 400 calories and almost 40g of protein. So amazing.
Made this today. I loved how easy it was to put this together, and know I will make this on repeat! I bought the wrong size wraps (high fiber taco wrap), yet still enjoyed eating the remainder out of a bowl 😊. I appreciate you both for sharing these high protein recipes. You both are looking great, so please keep on doing what you’re doing (on the channel and in the gym). You continue to be an inspiration since I’m eating this way for weight loss & building muscle now 💪🏽.
I like those Ole Xtreme wellness tortillas too...but I think my new favorite is the Mission Plant Protein tortillas. 10 more calories but 7 grams of protein per tortilla. Generally I tend to buy which ever is cheaper at the time I go shopping. Leaning into higher protein diet is more expensive I find, especially the Kite Hill protein yogurt. Thank you for the delicious looking recipe!
TVP taco was pretty good and very filling, however, the cilantro dressing threw it over the top. To me, the dressing is a must. Makes a ton so had to freeze it as there are only two of us that will eat this. Thank you!
Southwest food is great!!! My favorite. Thanks for this recipe. I have tvp but haven't cooked with it yet, I will now. God bless you both from grandma Katie. Good to see you Tim😅😅
Grandma Katie, I just heard Jeremy at PB with J shout you out. I was so excited to hear that. You are more famous than I am. Thanks for always supporting all the plant based shows. We all do this for you!
Hey - if you throw the tortilla in a warm pan for a bit & then flip it, it softens and sometimes will roll up without splitting. I hate when that happens.
I prepared your recipe for Cherry Garcia ice cream for tomorrow. Is there possibly an error? You have 2 tablespoons of monk fruit sweetener per serving?
Ice Cream loses its sweetness when it is frozen. You have to make it overly sweet so it is still sweet when you eat it. If you don't do this, it will taste like its missing the sweeter altogether . I had to be convinced of this also.
So I had heard that the TVP in the convenience vegan foods was not a healthy options? Can anyone respond to this? I have just discovered the soy curls which contain soybeans only so what would be the distinction in cooking? Anyone ? I know the fat is removed from TVP, is that the difference?
The TVP is processed as I believe it is made from soy flour. I think the soy curls are less processed. I am adding it to some of the meals because it is very high in protein. There are other options for sure.
We love you all! Thanks so much for supporting the show. Leave a comment below with your thoughts. - Joey
Love you Joey and Tim!!!!
Cannot wait to make this. Have to make the meatloaf first, but this is on my list of next to try. Thank you so much. Look forward to Tuesdays now.
AWESOME JOEY and TIM THANK YOU BOTH so much for All your help and All you do to help US
I’ve made this a couple of times while sautéing onions and included that. Delish, Joey and Tim My compliments to the chefs!
Thanks Joey and Tim, excellent quick mexican style meal.

Love these big servings for the calories. I’m a cilantro lover and love the freshness too.

AWESOME RECIPES JOEY and TIM THANK YOU so Much for sharing WOW
Thank you Joey and Tim, I love the idea of the bowl - I may just have to go and make one yum!
The bowl is a lot of fun just to break up the burrito monotony.

We have those at least once a week. So filling, right?
Great video guys, I make my own taco seasoning, it's the Old El Paso recipe. Hey just out of curiosity, what size are the tortillas?
Looks great! Very versatile!

Another fantastic video as always! This looks delicious! I like how you show the meals and they look filling, which I like!
Let’s see the macros! Great recipe. Can’t wait to try it.
They are on the printable recipe on the link in the description and I show them in the beginning of the recipe.
Can’t wait to try it, looks great!

I will try that next time.

If you would put the taco seasoning in with the water when you soak the TVP would it be more flavorful?
Probably
I don't know if it's true, but I heard that Taco Bell uses TVP as a filler with their beef...🤷♀️
Wow, I totally WANT that to be true. I know they are comming out with a full vegan menu soon.
What is TVP?
Textured Vegetable Protien. It's basically a dried out soy product. Very versatile! Sold in bulk stores or Bob's Red Mill.
Textured Vegetable Protein. It is may from soy flour.
