Such a great and very informative video about wire selection process. Thank you to share this kind valuable knowledge with us. Please keep making video.
Hello Sir bhardwaj: First time have seen such beautiful explanation on electrical designing on RUclips otherwise there are lot of stuff on RUclips related to it but i like the you taught. Sir it's a request that please make complete electrical design and calculation videos for electrical projects on construction site. I want to learn this from your channel. so please do it. Stay Blessed
Dear thanks for watching video.. Now, coming to your question, the basic difference btwn 3C & 3.5C is of neutral...if it's 3ph balanced load then half size core of neutral as compared to phase is sufficient.... In system where there is high neutral current or some OEM suggest due to equipment design then we use neutral as a full core similar to phase. I:e 4core. When power is fully supplied through UPS or through isolation xmer, the 3Core is sufficient neutral not required limiting use to 3ph load nly. Hope it resolves your doubt...if still persists, online classes is starting soon where full designing course will be done one to one.
hello sir, i didn't understand on base on full load current calculation there it came 347 amp and u selected - 3 core x 120 sq.mm. you could provide us pdf file too. thanks for sharing the useful video
Generally k liye...hum 1sq.mm = 1amp...for aluminum cable. We have keep the length in mind...& cable maximum current capacity mentioned In catalogue should be higher than SC.
Hello dear, thanks for watching the video. Regatding your query , we need to get current & length for calculation. Basic calculations will be similar some load profile will change.
if we always select short circuit current rating of Protection device (as you mentioned a CB rated for 50KA for 0.25 s), we will always end up in cable size of 300 sqmm considering same type of cable whenever the load after derating is lesser. What should we consider the short circuit current in that case as if I employ a cable of 300 sqmm for a 55 KW motor which is placed at 100 m distance and protected through ACB, i will lose money every time.
Thanks you very much for watching the video.. answer: you have take your system fault level & your relay setting..50KA is breaker capacity...that's the very high range..u have calculate according to your system.
Thank you for your detailed explanation about cable sizing🙏
Thank u for being such a great teacher... explanation level is high

Sure & thanks for motivating me.
Very true.....
I like your videos though, nicely explained and crisp.
IN Voltage drop formula u written full load current and then u r putting cable derating current ?
Really very nice brother...
Awesome explainantion 😍
Really useful this ,please upload ht cable sizing also sir
Will upload soon
Thank you ..
V helpful
Very very nice explains sir🌹🌹🌹
Thank you so much sir ❤
Good sir I like video
Nice detailed video
Sir awesome
Information is good, but make it simple to understand and memoris
Wonderful explanation
Glad you think so!
Sir please make more videos in electrical designing
how can put the i,squre value 50000 in K(short Ckt Constant Value)if we have calculated full load current 347amp
Thanks for writting. Dear it's for max fault current. Either we calculate exact fault current or considering max value.
How to select 3C and 3.5C size of cable and where it can be used? Also 3.5C and 4C difference?
Dear thanks for watching video..

Please share standard catlog for cable sizes of any manufacturer as you taken 90 sqmm
Why you devided the the full load current with the derating factor,
It should be multiplied

According to 120 mm sq, I thing that must be cu cable
Voltage drop condition is show less than 5%,please put the screen shot of IEC if possible
Good sir
1000 kva 33 KV transformer ke liye HT cable ki size kya hogi ...
Please consider more parameters like distance & laying conditions.
Plz make more videos
very useful
Sir, So generally cable size selection full load ke anusar hona chahiye ya fir short circuit current ke anusar hona chahiye?
Generally k liye...hum 1sq.mm = 1amp...for aluminum cable. We have keep the length in mind...& cable maximum current capacity mentioned In catalogue should be higher than SC.
Hello sir, how can it be calculated in case of DC power 48V
Hello dear, thanks for watching the video. Regatding your query , we need to get current & length for calculation. Basic calculations will be similar some load profile will change.
Which IEC ??
Your question is not clear... Plz put in brief
Grouping cables please
from where this 50 ka is come?
It's MCCB max fault current rating

It should be considered only for HV cable size calculations for LV size we should consider only ampicity and voltage drop criteria..
Very good 👍👍👍
