    We dont keep such margin in general. Today the motors are so efficient and many equipped with soft starter. Taking 4, 5 times margin will led the system so much inconvenient.

    • @electricaldesigningbasics
      @electricaldesigningbasics  Год назад

      Agreed to your point. That's why we calculate current based on efficiency..now, consider the case after 4-5 years motor will be rewinded at least 2 times and as per BEE study, one rewinding reduces the efficiency by 10- 20%.

  • @PRASHANTSINGH-fh4dq
    @PRASHANTSINGH-fh4dq 3 года назад

    Can you explain please the load you have mentioned is normal, intermittent & standby but loading factor is not considered also you have considered running load which should be connected or installed load because running load is the actual load driven by motor in operation. So while sizing transformer loading factor shall also be considered otherwise will result with oversizing which would cost more.

    • @electricaldesigningbasics
      @electricaldesigningbasics  3 года назад

      Good observation & sorry for late reply. Load factor is subjected to change as time prevails as more application gets added or due to low maintenance point of view or some other issues. We can design its local switch / MCCB as per LF. Transformer is a very heavy investment allied with its switch gears.
