Retired homeschool Mom here (61). Brought tears to my eyes when you took out the preschool plan of the day, played a game, and read books with the children. These are the most precious of times. Dont ever get discouraged. I miss those days greatly.❤

Mom brain is a real thing. 😊 When your kids are little, it’s always up to mom to stay on top of things, but when they get older, they’ll help you remember. Been there. Look at it as a happy surprise, and I know you’ll plan a few fun things for the week ahead, just remember it’s a spring “break”, so relax and enjoy.
I am laughing and crying regarding you forgetting it's spring break. Mom brain is real. It's funny because it is so something I would do/have done. It's not funny because you have to pivot and rearrange your day/week. I know you handled it like a champ. Love the background noise. I always try to embrace it knowing it will oneway be gone.
You are such a good mom. Really you’re going to miss all that noise soon enough so ignore when you have to, enjoy when you can💐
I'm sure it was a crazy day just because it wasn't what you planned. 🤪 I'm the same way. I love routine, and if it doesn't go as planned, I feel out of sorts. Enjoy your kids' spring break, even if it was not in your plans this week. 😆 Whoops!
I know it's a lot of work, but I have to say that I just love your typical day in the life vlogs the best! Especially with four kids at home it has to be hard to do this, but please know that this mom is basically a pro at tuning out kid noise no matter where I am, so just know it's just the sound of everyday life for many of us watching. =) We're deep in the teen years now, so the sound in my own home is actually something I miss a great deal! Glad you're vlogging this month! Enjoy your spring break!
A little bit of fennel makes it taste sooo good! I add a tiny bit of pink Himalayan sea salt. Another varaiation is using organic, grass-fed beef and make beef sausage!😊
I agree, fennel is what gives the traditional sausage taste. 😊

I love fennel but my daughter doesn't so I made this batch without. I could definitely separate out the meat and add fennel to half though!

Confess your sins to him ask him into your heart . Forgive others , love, pray Spend time in his word the Bible. Pray unceasing. Don’t you feel the shift? Girl, I drove 25 minutes to the next town one day because I wanted to go to Hobby Lobby after church, and only remembered whenever I got there that they’re closed on Sundays. It happens. Give yourself grace and have a blessed week. Arlene
I’ve done that too! Hobby Lobby like 30 minutes from me. Also done that with Chick-fil-A 🥴
When my first daughter was a baby I would be up, dressed, fed and ready to roll by 7 am, to then drive to the mall and realize it didn't open for several hours, lol.
My kids would’ve been over the moon if we pulled up to school and there wasn’t any 😂. I hope they were stoked!

I walked my kids to their bus stop one time and another parent drove by and said there was no school my kids never told me that was a while ago

If they weren't immensely comfortable I wouldn't wear them almost daily, no waistband, just flowy and free! Except when it rains, I don't like the wet fabric feeling

Aww. The Guess Who game. Played with my daughter now my grandsons. I’m reminded of your whoops moment. I drove my daughter to school on a snow day (should’ve listen to morning news!). I had to take her to work with me in the Operating Room. Luckily, a relative was able to pick her up from the hospital for me.
I’ve been using the facial scrub that you recommend some time ago. Love it!

Hey Hillary I was wondering where you got your playing preschool download bound at? I tried ups but it's like $200!! Didnt know if you had a better suggestion? Thank you!!
I used staples, and yes, color printed and bound is around that price. For me, it was worth it, since I’ve used it all year without purchasing any other resources and I plan to use it again with Jude. You can print it in black and white, or print in color and put it in a binder, or simply reference it on the computer and print only the alphabet pages, all those options would be cheaper, but I just wanted an easy open and go approach
I buy a season mix from Amazon that’s good. When I used to make them from combing spices I found that you really need fennel in it.

Lol.. had to laugh with you on the forgetting its sitting break😄 Don't feel alone, we've all been there at some. When you've got kids, taking care of a home and all the things, you're allowed to forget even important things😉 Don't apologize for the noises coming from the kiddos, its ok! If we don't have it going on ourselves, we've been there! My kids are grown, but i have grands and the 3 & 4yr old live behind me so i still have all the sounds throughout the day.. and tear 2 are LOUD😄 I love your bed frame!! I've been wanting to change over to a wrought iron frame. I'd love an antique one, but they don't come in queen or king size. Hoping maybe I'll find one I like that looks antique🤷♀️ Do you know what company makes the one you have, or where you bought it from? Thanks for sharing your day with us😊
My two year old is probably the loudest for sure! I don't know the brand of our bed, sorry, but it is a Queen. Probably not a true antique, maybe from the 80s but I love it so much.
Queen & king size beds weren't manufactured until mid 1940's but really started selling late 1950's. Until then its was twin & standard double beds. So there are vintage queen & king size! But they're so hard to find.. and pretty pricey unless you just get lucky😄 I've been looking so unless i get lucky, looks like I'm gonna settle for the antique/vintage inspired and that's ok too😊 I really love the look of yours! If its from the 80's its actually vintage.. Isn't that wild?!😄 Anything over 25yrs.. glad they don't consider humans like other things.. I'd be close to prehistoric 😂jk! But thanks sweetie!!

I love your French press and bowl, where did you get them?
The press is Spode, off of Amazon, and the bowl was a yard sale find. I wish I knew the brand because I'd love to find more, but sadly there's no markings on the bottom.
My children are young adults now, but I remember the days of school breaks. I looked forward to them, and planned fun things for us to do each day ahead of time.
Sadly we've had nonstop rain most of the week, still a welcomed rest!
I not only had my own 8 kids but did licensed day care for10 more! I always had a pretty loud house😅.But I loved it! Actually miss those days! You're a blessing to your kiddos!❤😊 love that game!!

It’s so fun to reminisce about when my children were little and all of the mom things that we did, which is really a big reason that I enjoy your videos. But, also, as a retired school based SLP, it’s so fun to see the teaching tools that you use. Our pre-k teacher literally used that curriculum at some point, and I had stacks of those phonics books that I used in therapy. Also, the Guess Who game was a fun therapy tool! Keep up the good work, momma!👏🏻👏🏻
Friday morning was chaotic trying to get everyone ready and out the door for school drop off. We finally get to the school only to see that the building is closed and the gates locked. I didn’t realize they had Good Friday off. Happens to the best of us 😅

Don’t feel bad about showing up at school, been there done that. We also headed to church then realized we needed to actually be in the opposite direction. So used to going there. Wow, was surprised how wonderfully simple your breakfast sausage patties were. Going to try it! I don’t eat pork or beef, so hopefully as good with ground turkey meat.

I think this happens to everyone especially busy moms. I one time thought I was late for school and rushed my kids up to school on a Saturday. Good thing is I only live two blocks away from the school.

My kiddos loved Guess Who. I liked it because it was quick and I could play a round with each child. They also liked Battleship and Connect 4.
It was so cold and it snowed inches here in the Midwest years ago. I bundled up and made my way to the city bus to go to school across town. The bus pulls up and the school was closed due to weather. The bus driver let me do around trip back home. I sometimes miss the shifting gears of the busses. I don't have children so the sounds of them playing is nice. Enjoy the "ugh" moments you will have great memories to talk about as your kids get older.
If this was your April 1st...I'd say "Surprise!" But, you survived to see another day. 😊

My grandchildren love playing Guess Who. I picked it up for them a couple of years ago after seeing it on your channel. Thank you for the info on the oils. My skin is terribly dry in the winter, so this may help!

I have a book recommendation. Wrong Place Wrong Time by Gilliam McAllister. First chapter starts like a normal mystery but then BLAM it gets turned upside down.
