It is deeper Fam and if anything I’m truly happy they got someone like this and it fits Kaido perfectly since he’s huge and big and powerful and who ever this is he did amazing and we’re gonna have too get use too it since we’re gonna be hearing his voice so so much in Wano arc but for now we’re gonna have to put up with Big Mom for awhile since the Cake Island arc is coming up finally

I can't really explain it but it gives off the vibe of someone who's seen the world so many times that he's bored. I haven't even got through half of Wano yet but you can really see why he drinks so much. He's bored senseless

Or the countless punches that hit before Luffy pushed him into the hole? This was not like crocodile where all he had to do was findout how to land his punch. It was a brutal back and forth that would have killed luffy if his devil fruit awakening didn't act as a defibulator.

Crazy months later looking at Kaido's design from his reveal to now. I liked the perpetually shadowed eyes and intense shading!

@@brandon55703 I prefer dub over sub myself because I want to hear what is happening through voices not subtitles. The subtitles go way too fast and I'm not a speed reader. Plus I am so sick of the dub haters out there bashing on dub versions of anime. If you don't like it, fine. Just don't bash it. When they say dub sucks, I turn around tell them sub sucks. It really doesn't tho. I just say it to shut the dub haters up.

I like it! the voice actor is David Sobolov, he's done alot of stuff over the years especially some transformers stuff, like beast wars and prime. Its just the first scene so we'll have to wait a while before we get the real goods, but I have high hopes for this guy's take on the king of the beasts.

@@itsblitz4437 Well I know him for doing Brawl The Decepticon from the transformers movie games, but he's also done Depth Charge from Beast Wars, Gorilla Grodd in the Flash, Drax the destroyer from some of the Guardians of the galaxy cartoons, Shockwave from transformers Prime, and most recently Blitz-wing in the new bumblebee movie. Again like I said, He's done a lot of transformers work.

There's a theory that because of his devil fruit he can breathe underwater since dragons are linked to koifish in japanese myth. Not too sure myself.

It’ll be interesting. You can hear The VA has a noticeable speech impediment, I’m interested to see how well that is going to work for such an intimidating, overwhelming presence like Kaido. I imagine his drunk fight scenes will be amazing with this VA.
Side note: there’s absolutely nothing wrong with having a speech impediment, however hearing such a prominent character be voiced by somebody with one is rare if not non-existent, so I’m super interested to see how it works but also super impressed with the decision in the first place. I have high hopes

I think the voice is great, I don’t even prefer the dub but this voice is good, not perfect but definitely top tier.

Saw that David Sobolov was his English VA and i HAD to see a clip immediately.
Sobolov has become a favourite actor of mine ever since he was Shockwave in Transformers Prime.
Turns out he's doing essentially the same voice, albeit with a deep growl.
