I have a very good feeling that out of the Four Emperor's, Kaido has the most Luffy energy.
Every other Emperor struts in the show with some type of road map.
Kaido's big entrance is coming down from the heavens via attempting something hilariously outrageous like suicide from 10,000 meters, then immediately stating an impossible goal that absolutely no one asked for.
That's the same nonsense Luffy would pull.

I was "concerned" that having people who've watched the anime with you would lead to small spoilers and problems like that but it's proven to be super healthy and funny to watch, the moments they look at the camera when you say something that is yet to be explained and shit like that is amazing. (Spoiler down)

And actually that's what I love from one piece, that a simple reference to something that happened 400 chapters ago has implications with characters introduced much later and countries even further away... The world building is impecable

Kaido is kind of like Zeref, he has a death wish. Envious of those that can die and waiting for a certain someone to get strong enough to finally kill him. The wait was so long that he gave up on it and instead plan a war to take over the world. except, Zeref's backstory and motivation is so much more interesting than kaido's so far.
