I love starting to see more gunpla hanging out in your videos!
Love that more of these devices are coming out. I see these as a perfect accessory for your gaming pc, it allows you to step away from your desk and relax on the couch with your family or play before bed, on the toilet, in the backyard in a hammock or swing. I love my G-Cloud and if I didn't already have it I would be buying this device no question. People spend $200+ on controllers and keyboards, this device is a nobrainer.
the price is right for just a streaming device. i wish this could have been launched sooner even though i love my steam deck i think this device would have serve me better because i already have a gaming PC
Awesome Thank you!
I dont see any reason to buy this when you can get a odin lite for 199$ with MUCH better performance, bigger 6200mah battery, and wifi6 support, it even support simcard, right now im visiting my gf but no wifi here at her place, glad i have a simcard in my odin i can still do streaming without wifi.
@@homebrewGT2 the lite model is 199$, it runs god of war 2 flawlessly with underclock
@@homebrewGT2 I know the stock joysticks on them sucks, its too small and sitting too low, i replaced mine with gulikit hall sensor joystick, it cost 20 bucks, its same size as the switch joystick, it feels better than my switch now.
@@homebrewGT2 took me around 5-10min to swap it out.
It costs at least 300$ with shipping and the screen is smaller
@@homebrewGT2 Odin lite 199$. i dont know why shows 224 on your screen.
"Abxylute have said 45 days Kickstarter then shipping soon after. They've got a shippable product already, just raising funds for large series production." -Sandy Ritchie (kickstarter comment)
I expect to get mine late May or early June :)
Great for the 200 and under category
MT8365 Aka i350 is a quad-core Arm Cortex-A53
For 200. yes if the shipping is included.
playing games like Street of rage 4, Pascal Wager, GTA Series, fifa and Shadowgun legends is fully playable.
Great video. 👌
I like this design
Game pass and a device like this is pretty awesome. Too bad I live in South America.
You can get it …ships everywhere
@@dhawksgamestation6721 Sorry I meant the Cloud gaming part of Game Pass. It is not available in South America. I live in Colombia.
What about a comparison to the retroid pocket 3+?
The name is crazy😂
Ive been supporting these guys for many months and they have a better revised model they will be shipping with the kick starter and onward.
whats the details on that?
I wasn't able to setup wallpaper engine on the production version of this device on tablet mode ☹️ did you do any special configuration?
is the screen quality in terms of colour ,contrast and response time on par as the G Cloud?
Dumb question is there a way for gaming streaming device such as this stream whats happening on the said device to pc so it can be livestream to YT/Twich etc
So many options are better than Nintendon't this year lol
I havent tried streaming in a few years, but last time I did, it was very noticeably slow, even on home wifi.
Always depends on your router, your PC's connection and how your home is constructed when using home Wifi. I've had both terrible and amazing experiences.
This might can run Switch emulation, would like to see someone test it out
The launcher looks super laggy Compared to the G cloud idk how I feel about that.
Is there anyway to get that launcher itd looks awesome ! Xbox streaming looks so bad on my smartphone not sure what's up I'm using galaxy s20 ultra though still didn't stop me from playing Back4blood 😀
You have made a video of fire toolbox for Google Play services in Amazon fire HD tablet..but I need to uninstall all the features in laptop & tablet.. please mention a video for that
The amount of praise for this device is shameful considering the availability of the Odin lite.
ETA is reaching a new low point
I agree he still reviews ryzen Vega based apu mini pcs too...which is unbelievable... Anyone who's uses a ryzen 5600g and ryzen 2400g knows there is maybe a 3% as in 3 percent difference between the two when it comes to emulation and especially pc games and even a ryzen 5700g is only 5% as in 5 percent faster than even a ryzen 2400g...another thing Intel made a Vega based spy with 24 compute units that's faster than any rdna2 or 3 based mini pcs because Intel's 8th gen mini pc has 50% more compute units compared to the rdna 2 based mini pcs too...these 8th gen Intel Vega based 24 compute unit pcs sell for $500 shipped all day on aliexpress too...and its 4x faster than any steam deck too
The best part is that the guys over at the discord told me its available in the UK I cant get any more info on the discord bc a bot hacked my discord account and was sending links to Free (u know what) so I got banned and I cant find ban appeals so if anyone knows ban appeals reply back.
Do you know if Genshin Impact support the controller or is it on screen controls only?
With mapping software it will work but, not sure how well android version will run
@@ETAPRIME It doesn't run well. I think Retro Game Corp tested it. That CPU is the only thing giving me hesitation on keeping me from canceling my Backing and get a G Cloud on a deal.
Hows the streaming from pc with parsec?
There is no comparison between using your phone with a controller and the Abyxlute one. The Abyxlute blows it out of the water. I tried cloud gaming on a S22 Ultra and apart from the small window you get on your phone the whole experience was not great. However the Abyxlute is on another level. Better streaming, good sound, amazing screen, light weight and fantastic controls. The ergonomics may not look great but when actually gaming it feels just right. I'm strictly using it for cloud gaming and it has really impressed me. I simply can't believe I can play AAA games on this simple device.
It uses same chip as 10 inch amazon fire tab. I would buy it before a fire tab at full price. Bu I always get he prime special or amazon refurb for 74.99 to 89.99.
Yeah a $200 device with that chip is a no go. You can get an android tv box with that chip for well under $100
I am willing to buy asus vivobook x16 ryzen 5 5500H 16/512. Can you make an emulation test video of that laptop, please. I'm really looking forward to it. 😊please test all emulators also switch. 😊
I just want to know what is the wallpaper he is using?
Can't decide what colour to get. Black or white.
Dang does the interface ever screen g-cloud
I swear that launcher and fave design is identical to the G Cloud. Actually, it's likely the same origin as the cancelled Legion handheld - a third party board partner making the ODM of Tencent's Android handheld project. Taki Udon had a whole breakdown investigating those.
Interesting that they customized the hardware a bit
where u get ur wallpapers
Tnx
why would you pick something like this over the odin ?
The cpu series is so suspicious, I'm not sure if it will be playable enough for android games itself
I do not think that there is a market for this type of console unless either the price it way lower or the specs are better.
There is. Like me
How well does PS Remote Play run?
How are the Joysticks because they are not on the same level? Does it bother in a lot of 3d games when you use the right joystick to move the camera?
Does the cpu support hevc for moonlight streaming?
use an xbox controller bruh idk
Will It Play PS2 Or Nintendo GameCube
Will It Play On The TV If It Does How?
Aww man only a s905x4 for $200? That’s crazy
Retroid Pocket 3+ is $50 cheaper and far more capable for on device emulation without having to resort to streaming. This device looks nice but I can't justify spending more for something less capable.
I heard the triggers were digital and would compromise certain games like racing games where you need analog adjustments. Do you feel it lacking? You still recommend it as I just love that form factor and price
Esse tema, Frontend ou Launcher é bem bacana.
Tem para Download?
Can this or any other device like this be used to game PS5 remote play? 🤔
It's running android so I don't see why not, I use something very similar to play Xbox remote
For 160 it's gonna be sold out if it isn't already
It's like separating your games from your smartphone. Better to buy a detachable controller for your phone than having this. That device is 10years behind. I have nvidia shield from 2014 - 2015 and it does the same thing.
I keep saying the 8th generation is the GOAT for video game generations. Not the beloved 4th or 6th. Heck, the 2nd gen with Pac-Man is beloved by folks born in the 60s and 70s. But one of the bad things the 8th gen brought other than micro-transactions is the games are HUGE. Games are over 100 GB easily these days.
I want to play Shenmue III and Final Fantasy VII Remake although I'm aware the former is the worst Shenmue game. They're both over 100 GB. Tekken 7 alone is nearly 80 and that's just a fighting game. One TB might only fit less than 10 games. Upgrading the internal to 1 TB + 1 TB microSD seems mandatory. If you want as many as 30+ modern games on it, we'll need 2 to 3 TB microSD cards ASAP.
Gawd, I love my PS Vita slim and Switch Lite. The file sizes for them are reasonable. I used my old 128 GB microSD for my modded Vita and was able to download 30 Vita games, 20 PS1 games, and 13 PSP games. Still have 30 GB left. Got a 256 GB microSD for only $20 from OfferUp and my Switch has 18 games with 40 GB still left. Mario Kart 8: Deluxe is reasonable at 7 GB.
This is what scares me with the next Nintendo handheld. A 2 TB of storage on a Steam Deck doesn't seem sufficient enough if the average game size is over 100 GB. You'll be lucky to store 15 triple A games with 2 TB. Not to mention all the ROMs from previous gens that can be anywhere from 1 GB to 50 GB.
NBA 2K23 on the Switch is well over 50 GB. I bought it because it's like one-third the size of the PS5 version and over half the size of the PC version. I can live with the crappier graphics that's still on par to NBA 2K11 on the 360 and PS3. I guess Vita and Switch will be the last handhelds to have reasonably-sized games.
need 120 refresh
I wish less handhelds had the charging port right on the bottom of the middle of the device. It makes sense for the switch and switch OLED but devices like the this, the g cloud, and even the switch lite and Vita, have no business having the charging port on the bottom. It makes using in bed a pain when it's time to charge it.
I agree. A work around is you can buy USB c to wireless charging then get a magnetic puck charging unit. It's a neat work around. I actually think they should just have wireless charging. I mean we as consumers can buy add ons for $10-20 so what could it add $5 to the cost
Playstation remote play?
That looks really similar to the os the logitech handheld had
WiFi speed doesn't matter. Simple WiFi 4 N WiFi can stream videos (games) just fine. Your internet speed is slower than your WiFi speed.
Most I'd pay for this is 150$
why would anyone get this over an ayn odin lite for the same price
No 4g/5g 😢
That might be too laggy for cloud gaming. 4G/5G have a lot of latency.
Could I put Linux on this
That D-pad and right analog trigger look weirdly placed, why are they cramed into the display so much? Reallt off putting IMHO. Should have been centered below the other analog trigger / face buttons.
Can you play ps5 games
No unless tha game has been ported to pc and is on a cloud gaming service, because this device is nowhere near powerful enough to run them natively and most ps5 games are still locked to the console
yes if you have a ps5, then you can use psplay app to stream it from your ps5 remotely
XBXPlay remote play app just looks so much more crisp than XCloud. Makes Xcloud look awful 😐
Junk chipset for anything much beyond streaming.
OMG LMAO XD Just went to the kickstarter page, when you scroll down a little you'll see 3 pictures and a caption that says "Anytime, Anywhere" the guy is playing this device... in the BATHTUB!! I mean you COULD play this in the bathtub, but WHY would you risk it, at LEAST it does not show that the device is plugged in, that would cause possible death!! It's 2023 and I don't think a company should be risking a lawsuit when Cletus the slack jawed yokel who... Natural Selection has seemingly missed until now, is suing them because he says (in Cletus's voice) "Well yall's pic said I could play yer fancy device in da bathtub and when I dun dropped it in the water, it dun bit me it dun did!!" Ya sounds stupid but... you see people do stupid things ALL the time, in real life and ESPECIALLY on the internet, and really... has anyone at this point in history NOT said, "THAT moron's gonna get himself killed!"
Great review as always ETA PRIME! =D
Day 16 on waiting for you to try the intel arc a750 through thunderbolt.
So basically Retroid RP3+ at $150 is the better choice since it can do all of that and run all PSP games, and some Gamecube, PS2, Wii, and Switch games
Yes and no, issue with RP3+ when your aim is game streaming is the fact that it lacks grips, analogue shoulder buttons and has very small buttons / joysticks; it's ideal for older or 2D games but can get a bit uncomfortable for more modern games. Personally I'll stick with the RP3+ though.
The steam deck is not the first thing I would compare to that. These things are just totally useless in a world with smartphones.
Well larger screen, better ergonomics, it's a dedicated gaming device, etc. Still a lot of reasons people buy them.
I don't like to play games on my phone because I'm usually talking on it 😂 Not useless for those of us who actually talk on our phone I guess
@@kumi9479 you’re always talking to people?
@@andypandy4607 for the most part, I talk on the phone pretty regularly. Guess I'm one of the few people who actually talks to people vs texting 🤣
16:9 means phones are useless compared to this device.
If it’s more than $400, than it’s a hell no
In my opinion this is a good example of a missed opportunity here. If they went with a better CPU they could have easilty gotten the next great Handheld device for emulation. It shows that the market needs a 7" Device, right now.
Streaming hell no not everyone have good Wi-Fi play games
It looks to be something that is already e-waste. the specs are garbage. the physical unit looks good in terms of layout though.
Too expensive for the power of the system. Retroid Pocket 3+ is a better choice.
I'm extremely sensitive to latency so a device that can't run games locally is a no-go for me
Their name makes me irrationally angry.
Think these handheld are just terrible, when you can spend about £80 max for a really good grip for your phone and stream
Plenty of people want a dedicated device. Like me.
You are going to have to deal with a really big black bars though.
@@LEE-ty8vq just thinking of the price point is all. If it can do so ps2 emulation or dolphin. Would be defo worth it
@@LEE-ty8vqim that scenario you can buy other phone
@@mrbobgamingmemes9558 why would I do that when I want a dedicated device with integrated controllers? I'm already using a phone to stream using a ds4. It's bulky and requires a frame to attach both.
I still have not seen a compelling reason to pick Android over Windows for these handheld gaming machines. At this point we should just buy a Razer Kishi-style controller for our phones since our phones are way better than this thing
As soon as I saw this I thought of Logitech G cloud. The G cloud should have been released for $200 not $350 and then they dropped it $50 from complainers.. it’s still not worth $298.99 it goes for now. just my opinion.
this is pretty much an switch lite that dont run games but stream games. I wouldnt buy it, if i am traveling somewhere and the internet is limited then i cant do much. I have a google pixel 6a that can probably run games better, i even played some games on netflix games and it runs well. I would prefer buying an evercade xp or some cheap emulation handheld then.
It's a nice handheld for the low price, but when I saw the handheld, I thought it was a handheld pc for a very low price. But it's still cool though!
The 1080p screen sounds awesome, but it's 60 fps. Quite a bummer.
I dont think game streaming have support above 60 fps
@@mrbobgamingmemes9558 Local game streaming does have support.
Game streaming? Nope.
Red flag!!!
once I see a grammatical error (on the Kickstarter product) on something someone is describing as their products I tend to stray away from these manufactures. if you don't care for your spelling, why will you care your customer?
This is a funny comment since the word you're looking for is manufacturers. 😅
Come On Bro, the Click Bait 😢with the white Option when you already did a video on this color
Not really a great option with the odin out there
Android? Then no. It'd make more sense just to get a controller for your phone.
exactly my thinking
phone with a controller is nonsense, i dont think its even can be called a handheld
@@edogawakonan8930 -1
@@edogawakonan8930 -2
Agreed.
I want this to play RAID Shadow Legends and all iPhone Android running free games. With the hazard addicted children and running on the backs of the Whales. Thehe MMO RPG-7!
Nah this thing ain't worth it
Just get a Nintendo switch lite.
I have a modded switch lite, moonlight on switch does not work great, because of the bad wifi chip and low performance, it can only do 20mbitrate
Processor TOO WEAK! TOTAL FAIL!
True, a lot of 100$ phone have atleast 8 cores
Steam deck killer
No dolphin no thanks
What’s with the click bate thumbnail?
I want a x86 for this price :(
That's very unrealistic at that price point.
One word. Absolutely not. And a rip off to boot.
I got a Logitech G cloud for $175 off Facebook market and it's a better machine overall.
Yeah problem is it normally costs $350 and sales usually only take it to $300
@@Jimmys_TheBestCop was $250 last Black Friday. You can find it cheaper if you look.
@@OmarGbits still not $190 though. And you can't get g cloud over seas. If it sold at $250 standard with sales at $200 g cloud would have dominated the market share
This thing is nonsense! If you purchase this you're basically just pissing your money away!! Sometimes the people who do the reviews. I wish they would say that!!
I pledged it. I have reasons to pledge. What's the issue?
@@LEE-ty8vq It's a piece of junk. These things will be all over the place in a few years and you can pick them up at your local goodwill!
@@coreystill7197 I mean it's a dedicated streaming device that utilizes a chip that is optimal for local streaming / cloud gaming.
People who have family's and busy households will find this as a great alternative to using there phone.
You technically get a better experience than a steam deck. The resolution, nits, battery, shape, mass and triggers are all better at a fraction of the cost.
That's the magic that streaming offers.
