@@DoubleDragon5180 1. I've been using the steam deck for months and it's the most comfortable thing I've ever held. I can't imagine this would be better.
      2. The Steam Deck is sturdy as a rock. GPD has a history of their stuff breaking so I wouldn't say they have better hardware quality. 3. 75hz is such a niche refresh rate that it's pretty much useless 4. 16:10 is not bad. I don't understand mentioning 75hz when 16:10 is also an incredibly niche aspect ratio. 5. That keyboard looks pretty uncomfortable.
I"m not saying the specs aren't impressive, but considering that even the cheapest models cost twice as much as a 256gb Steam Deck means I'd rather go with the cheaper one. Even most of my criticism is useless cause it's like comparing apples to oranges. The Steam Deck is for people with less disposable income that want an ergonomic design from a trusted brand, and the GPD is for people who have a lot of money to blow on stuff like this. It should honestly be getting compared to the Aya Neo instead.
      (sorry for the essay)

Mate, I always love your videos you put out. I recently pre-ordered the Ayaneo 2 but now I'm not too sure if that was a mistake as this looks even better with a slick form factor and an awesome keyboard, not to mention it's even smaller. The only thing this doesn't have is the hal-sensor joysticks.
I also recently bought off ebay a Ayaneo Air, and a Miyoo Mini v2 lol. There's so many new pieces of hardware coming out from China that look amazing. It's now hard to keep up. I also was looking at the Retroid Pocket 3+ but have held off buying it for now lol.
Please do a video on Emulation with this device my friend. The emulation I care to see working the most is Xbox 360 Xenia and Original OG Xbox Xemu. would appreciate it if you could run these following exclusive games.....
Jet Set Radio Future, RalliSport Challenge 2 for OG Xbox
Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Operation Darkness, for Xbox 360.
Also Gamecube and PS2 emulation is worthy to test too.
Everything below it is more then capable of playing on these high end devices but I also recommend now that if you ever test Saturn emulation.... please test the 'BeetleCore' on these highend devices and not Yaba Sanshiro.
Thanks for all your efforts and Merry Christmas mate.

Loved this video and the handheld, I'm torn between this one, Steam Deck and Aya Neo 2. If you could make a size comparison between this one and the Aya Neo 2 that would be great. One thing that I think is missing is the compromise you need to make if you choose this handheld over steam deck or Aya Neo 2, like screen borders, worse software options, potential mechanical issues with screen+keyboard, no hal sensors joysticks, etc

Valve didn't put 6800u CPU in for a reason as well as 720p display instead of 1080p one. This GPD 4 is just like a monument of what can be crammed into a handheld device, while it is impressive it is also as expensive as a full fledged gaming PC. Without a new type of battery that can provide a solid uptime for all that tech crammed into, it is all for naught.

I think it will be extra interesting when you consider cars are starting to have USB plugs as standard (so you "get" a giant battery where you go) and for passengers, they get a very lengthy battery.
I think the most interesting of these is having a battery that you take with you that you can swap out and another that stays which is large enough so you have time to swap the batteries without losing whatever you are doing (maybe a 10 min battery?). Then you just take extra batteries with you to extend that time and continue what you were doing.
I wonder how feasible that is...

I think it's really time for this form factor too really come into its own. The CPUs and the frames per second for most games are high enough for more than just the casual player. The ecosystem that isn't just limited to the Vita or the portable by sony. The full keyboard like that sidekick T-Mobile phone from the 2000s. Even if the price right now it looks pretty darn worthwhile.
If the big companies are doing it with things like the steam deck if not a Long reach for the smaller companies to be making exactly what everyone really wants.
