Hello and welcome to our third edition of Press Perspective this week.
It's Thursday October 10th here in Korea and I'm Min Sun-hee.
Today we touch upon the latest events regarding efforts to ensure regional and global stability and prosperity under the ASEAN framework and more.
For this I have Celio Fioretti a correspondent for French daily La Croix.
    Celio welcome.
I also have Nicholas Fang the Director of Security and Global Affairs at the Singapore Institute of International Affairs.
    Nicholas it's a pleasure.
    1) Celio, some say that the ASEAN region is the world's economic dark horse.
Speaking within your capacity as a member of the French press, what do you say?
2-1) Nicholas, South Korea is hoping to play a "bigger role in Southeast Asia."
And a former Indonesian diplomat, in an opinion piece for Asia Times, called for more commitment by Seoul to security in the South China Sea should it seek to play a more tangible role in the region.
To what extent, can Korea's presence in Southeast Asia be expanded?
2-2) Also, Nicholas, what efforts are essential to ensure such expansion ?
    3) Celio, diplomacy in recent times appears to bind together security and economic partnership.
How do you assess Korea's economic partnerships with its regional counterparts?
    4) Nicholas, the ASEAN Plus Three Summit brings together South Korea, Japan, and China as well.
What look to be the gains on both the diplomatic and economic fronts for South Korea from ties with Southeast Asian nations as compared to those by its East Asian neighbors?
    5) Nicholas, beyond Laos and its hosting of the ASEAN-related gatherings, what were some of your takeaways from the deals sealed between South Korea and Singapore earlier this week during President Yoon Suk Yeol's state visit?
    6) Celio, back to the ASEAN framework.
Can the ASEAN play a productive role in easing tensions on the Korean peninsula?
    7) And Nicholas, what role can South Korea's ties with the ASEAN play to promoting a nuclear-free peninsula?
    8) Celio, following this month's ASEAN-related summits, come November, world leaders will gather for the APEC meeting as well as the G20.
What issues of interest is Korea likely to shed light on at these gatherings?
    All right.

Stability in S. C. Sea is very crucial especially for South Korea, Japan , Taiwan & The Philippines. It will worst or very bad for these countries.
As for S.E.Asian countries ( 10 of them ) & China, these countries fair better , much better. They will have alternative in due course.
    For better world
