And here you go you have a new subscriber.. but I have a question can you tell me how to sell artworks I found inside a wall 🧱 and a flag?. A friend (artist) said the flag should go to a museum, but I can't do that, I'm already paying the bills I can't go there and say here you go take also this 😆 I hope you understand!
Ok I am taking getting this video recommended to me as a sign from God. I have been thinking about starting my own art career for awhile now, I even bought a new iPad to improve my skills. Got discouraged earlier today, had an epiphany, and now this. I’m on the right path. Loved this video 💜
Incredible.. As a small youtube channel getting comments like this is what motivates us. Even when the numbers aren't very high it's amazing to know our videos can have an impact. Best of luck with your art career Jasmin!!
Amateur art is like zucchini and poetry: supply greatly outpaces demand. The only sign you should be paying attention to is the dollar sign if you intend to have an actual career as an artist.
That’s super exciting for you! Any God give you many more blessings. I’m currently only 14 but I don’t have time to do a part time job like fast food or something cuz of school so I want a way to make money for art supplies and groceries Bc I wanna get a head start for college. Hoping God will help me out through my journey just like he did with you ❤️✨
Thanks for sharing 😁 About 15 years ago I was a "full time " artist and sold some prints that were giclee on watercolour paper. They looked so AMAZING. I even sold some watercolours blown up and giclee printed onto canvas. They were beautiful. I'm so glad I watched your video and you mentioned that site. Thanks 😊
Thank you for sharing this information. Getting prints made and figuring out how to get them out there, is where I struggle now. I wish you continued success!!
Hi Madison! Thanks for sharing this video. It’s very informative. I’m wondering if you order the prints you need for people and then you are shipping it to them after you get it? What’s your turn around time on prints?
Great for the advice , I'm really trying this year to get my art where it needs to be for sales ..This is almost my second year so im going all the way in.Thank you for sharing ...
Greetings, that was some valuable info I appreciate your sharing. I don't know if it is a fit for me and thought you may have some ideas for me. I'm 68 years old and have been writing as long as I can remember but I always wrote to art. I create digital pictures sometimes layering dozens and cutting out what I don't want and allowing what is underneath to show. Many of the pictures I've created are the final layer upon which my story or poetry goes. As an example many years ago in a pretty dark time of my life I did a self portrait in pencil on Canvas board. Obviously the portrait was backwards which lead to the "The Man in the Mirror." The poem is about navigating the many twists and turns in life and of course how so many things are not how they appear. Since even though many of my pieces have original artwork. The only way I know of duplicating them is digitally. I would greatly appreciate anything you would advise. I have no formal education in the arts. Perhaps if this is out of your wheelhouse, an intro to another. I would of course send and example if requested. Thank you for doing the video and in advance for any additional help you see fit to share.
For many years I've wanted to sell my artwork on Etsy but too scared and nervous especially with the packaging and postage, Ihowever I am more ready to start selling my artwork which is why I am doing my research and watching your video right now :)
Allow me to say THANK YOU!! Your support, information, and time spent to investigate and then share with all of us is more than invaluable. the hours and time i would have to make time for has literally been reduced and changed because of you. I'm renewed, ready to go with my list of knowledge you gave me to be a better buyer and seller. i can hit the floor running knowing with info in hand and no wasted days and smarter as to what to aim for. Consider this comment as a warm embrace of gratitude and considering your gift of info to me and others extraordinary 🙋♀.
I found this video very informative and I enjoyed listening and learning from your experience! Thank you for sharing and spreading the motivation to be brave and create!
I'm just trying to figure out how to get my art out there. I do pencil art , pen and ink and wanting to start painting .I've been drawing all my life . Mostly for friends and some I've sold . I also do glass etching. But I'm lost in the online world and need to know how to begin. Any advice would be great.
She did not talk about the monthly fee of Squarespace which is also her main expense and could be between $12 to $40 per month + $16 for a domain registration/hosting fee per year .. innit!
Thank you....I lost everything and.....today this was the first site...I looked at....as an artist.....wow......I’m thinking I have really been inspired thank you
Is there a benefit to having the website through Squarespace - as in, do they have promotional tools that can help with sales? Or is it just because the templates make it easy if you're not a programmer? No right or wrong answer, good or bad - I'm literally just curious, because I suck at marketing myself.
Thanks for this video. I’ve been adding listings consistently on my Etsy page for three months now and I’ve only gotten two sales. Sort of discouraged BUT this video has encouraged me! I guess I’m judging my results too early
I’m in the same situation too! Started my shop in Jun this year and with constant product additions I only made 8 sales till now. You can try creating Pinterest, FB, Instagram accounts for your shop..that might help..good luck x
Skills have has some good classes on marketing your art. A girl called Peggy Dean (very successful artist) has a class about Pinterest marketing. She claims Pinterest was a huge factor in growing her following and her business.
What kind of artwork do you do Or sell? I have an interest in photography, can i do the same in regard to photography. If yes, then what dos and don'ts i have to keep in consideration.
thanks for your video, I do have a question, do you order the prints from giclee and they ship it to you or they ship it directly to the client on demand? thank you
Thank you for being so generous with sharing what has worked for you I feel inspired to collaborate with people that are have a bigger following to help me market my art and reach out to more people (:
Great video! And the truth about making art prints. I live in New Zealand and giclee printing is so expensive here, I have an Epson P800 printer and Epson V800 to Scan my Artwork. It’s how I make all my art prints & Greeting Cards, my brand is called : Birhira All the best with your Art! Bernadette
I’m currently starting my Etsy shop up and I want to take my painted canvases and turn them into prints. Does gliceet do a good job at that? Also what did you say to the insta moms! I want to check that out!
Great info thanks, congrats on your success so far! I'm in the beginning process of selling prints/products. I was wondering, do you have the Giclee print shipped to you so you can sign and number it, or do you ship directly to the customer? I'm trying to figure out if it matters that you sign it because it would definitely be less hassle. Thanks for any additional info!
Hi Tavis, I am completely new in these processes and I have exactly the same question as you! Also, if you have to go to a 3rd party to have your art printed, then what is the ETA you will give to customers when they place an order? Thank you so much!
Hey! I’ve been doing some research myself on this, I hear a few RUclipsr’s saying that they find that their clients prefer for them to take the extra step and sign their work because it makes the piece more personal and the client can feel more connected to the piece.
Question about getting the art printed with Giclee.....Do they send it to the buyer? Or do they send it to you & then you package/present to the buyer?
You really inspired me I'm an commercial Artist, and was running hobby classes before 15 years ago but now as a home maker ,I want to do something and stand on my own ,but I don't know much about social media and all ,would like your opinion
Hi Madyson how are you? Great video, thank you for sharing your experience. I am watching it in DEC 2020. How is your business going at this stage? I mean, are still happy with the service delivered by Squarespace and Etsy? Any client in Europe. What challengess have you got there? All the best and wish you a great week.
Hy. I want to ask your help. I am thinking of starting a small business in Europe to sell prints and I am looking for something that : 1 can print prints up to 40 inches long 2 can easy print on 300gsm paper 3 isn’t so expensive to maintain 4 Print quality is good I muss say that my budget is up to 1500 Euro I have a lot of ideas to run the business I just need to find the printer that can do all the things above.. I will very much appreciate your answer
You mentioned the percentage split that you and the collaborator agreed on, do you mind sharing the percentage so that I have an idea of the range to propose?
Building a presence on social media platforms to build a funnel is likely the easiest way! I would begin teaching myself SEO tactics as well. You can learn everything you need to know on RUclips and I would highly recommend the channel Brian Dean.
This is a very nice video and finally someone talking about, though very fleetingly, about quality of pictures that can be put up for downloads. I keep hearing how to sell and what to sell but I haven’t found any video on how to take the pictures that.come out perfectly when someone downloads as a print on canvas or art paper. You mentioned that you use iPhone and then edit on Adobe. Can you please tell me the sizes in inches, pixels, dpi etc that are specified by websites like SAATCHI art etc. I have tried professional photographers yet, I find my simple iPhone pictures better at least to look at, on my website. But those do not qualify at SAATCHI. Hope you respond.
Thank you so much! Madi was actually a guest on our channel and we don't know the answer to that question. Feel free to find her @madison.mayfield.art on instagram and ask any questions there. She's very active!

Also, out of pure curiosity I searched how to pronounce giclee....zhee-klay is what wiki says. But it also says no one knows how to say it! 😁
