Hi. You mentioned there is only 1 print on demand service worth using, the one with the best quality prints. Can you please tell me which print on demand service provider this is? Thanks
It changes over time and depends on what products you want to sell, some POD companies are better for certain products then others while those others will be better for certain products as well. And so testing it out based on the products that you want to sell is going to be the key strategy here.
Thanks for this great video. What is a good quantity for limited edition prints? I'm guessing it depends on if you are just starting out or established, etc. Maybe a video on this? Thanks again.
You got that right. It all depends... It's useless to do a series of 100 limited edition prints if you can only sell 4 of them you know... :) It all depends on the demand really. Good idea Henson. I'll consider making a video about it.
I just found your channel. It's cool to see how it's grown over the past year. Great thumbnails. I appreciate your willingness to cover niche topics that help artists. Knowing that you are an artist yourself, I'm curious why you use your youtube platform to help artists grow their careers, when you could easily focus instead on making videos that leverage your own career as an artist. It seems like you really enjoy the business side of art. Maybe that's why? Anyway, nice to meet you and thanks for sharing your expertise :)
Well it's hard to reveal my personal strategy in a comment but... It's all going to make a lot of sense I can assure you;... this is the best for my personal art career no doubt. And if you ever have questions or you would like to see something specific explained on the channel. Please let me know. I would love to help you out with some future videos.
@@driesketels Thanks Dries! Very cool. Thank you for the offer of support. Right now, my focus is teaching art to kids and teaching adults how to be more like kids (through making art), for the purpose of emotional growth and well being, and creating a channel and content that supports that. I will let you know if I think of a video topic that would support this. One thing I always find meaningful and motivational is learning biographical information about fellow artists and what motivates them, and what areas have been challenging for them. I’m not sure whether you already have videos about this (I haven’t come across any but I haven’t checked in a while) but that would be fun to see. Many blessings to you, Dries! 💜

Hey dries great video, would you still say 400-500 euro is just about right for limited edition prints that all have a digital certificate of authenticity and all recorded in the blockchain proving authenticity and ownership from Verisart?
I don't know enough about blockchain stuff tbh so... Perhaps blockchain stuff will replace the whole signature art thing in the future. But for now, in order to charge 400-500 you will need to provide an autograph on the prints for the majority of artworks (there are some exceptions though, hard to explain in a comment)
@@driesketels Appreciate your response. another thing I need to mention is I recently sold 4 digitally painted originals to an interior design client (Yes I'm an interior designer and 3D Artist mostly) and I sold these paintings as an upsell to my main interior design offering and it was easy because I painted these pieces to perfectly match the style and color scheme of the project and I got a print on demand partner to print and frame all 4 of them after the client paid me about 500 euro in total. Now I'm in a bit of a dilemma, should I continue only selling specific artworks for my projects as an upsell to my design service, or can I find a way to make art that other interior designers would be happy to buy that would suit their projects as well especially if I create collections that accommodate color schemes that are on trend. what do you think?
I would definitely do more of the thing that works first... Creating more designs in line with your own projects building a portfolio out art that sold and is hanging in homes... And then, a couple months later, use those testimonials to get other interior designers in the mix as well.
@@driesketels Thanks for your response man really appreciate it and you raise a good point indeed! I will definitely keep doing what works first. Thanks for your awesome channel that brings great value as always!
