I can’t lie, the different shades of yellow is actually nicer than just a single yellow shade it splits it up and gives the illusion of it being multicolored

The house is very mid-century/retrofuturistic style and I love it! So fun, quirky, and with so much personality.
I have a suggestion: find a pack with the most items and build a house using every single one. Every last one (with the exception of every swatch, of course).

You got a good pick with yellow- the game has a lot of soft yellow swatches which means it's never too overwhelming. I've really gotten into yellow kitchens in game.
I debated myself wether I should comment that this is gonna go into Sims history as „Lil Simsie‘s piss house“ or if that type of comment would be inappropriate. But then Kayla made a golden shower joke and suddenly I felt seen, understood and at home.
Building in The Sims 4 is like second nature to you, no matter how hard I try I always end up with a huge box😂

If you want better Sims houses, study from references and build them in the Sims, and then after that, build the house again from memory without consulting the reference so that you can learn gradually to build from imagination

You know in the spirit of doing fun builds, I just did a malibu barbie beach house build and I had a lot of fun- it was full of things I'd never used before and wouldn't usually, but when you have a theme to go with it just works.

IDEA: You should do a video where you either co-lab with one of your followers or another RUclipsr, where they create a home and decorate all the rooms except two rooms with a theme. Then you would have to finish decorating that room according to the theme the OP did.

I'm going to need a light yellow house for the Not So Berry 2.0 (I finished your OG Not So Berry Challenge earlier this year), so I'm either going to draw inspiration from this one or just use this one itself.
The scientist career was the only one I actually, truely, really played from Get To Work. I agree 100% that it was the most interesting and felt like a real expansion with new goals everyday.
I love the interior of this house a lot, so different and original from your usual builts.

i had that problem as well, i found one of thwo things that fixed it, one taking away the porch area's and adding them after i lifted the house. though sometimes i could just use the porch area and lift the entire house.

The different shades of yellow look great! If it was just a couple of different ones with mostly one shade, it'd look unfinished, but since there's so many it looks purposeful and cohesive:) I'd live here for sure

Earlier today made a huehuetl house shell challenge. A huehuetl is an aztec drum, and I made the outside of the house look like one. It was super simple to make and it was fun.
You should do a challenge (if you haven't already) where you build a house using all the items and swatches you hate/think are the worst. So like using the worst wallpaper, worst bed, worst couch, etc.
You could merge this one colour only thing with the 8 floor challenge! So every floor is a different colour

I feel like when you’re doing all one color, having a million different shades of that color is okay. Especially when it’s yellow. I feel like other colors have more variety/shades so yellow is easier to get away with.

I think the culprit regarding you not being able to raise the foundations was the pavement you put in the front and back for the driveway and the patio. Something similar happened in my game the other day. Deleting the parts of the drive and patio that are touching the house should solve the problem. You should be able to add it back after.
