Pro tip: you can use the jungle adventure public bathrooms, which have showers and toilets. For only 0 simoleons
Right I remember doing that once !! And the trash chute from city living works and is 0 simoleons too, if i'm not mistaken
Thank you for the tip! I often use the public bathrooms for my budget tiny home builds but still build showers. This is a game changer

I think that would count as cheating though for it being outside, in one of her videos when she was building a house, she said that if she put stuff outside it'd be cheating so I assume it has the same concept for this.

@@theincompleterealm1582 honestly, you probably could. There’s a lot in Get Famous that costs zero simolens. And then using debug, you can create an almost fully functional house. Then if you use lot traits from eco lifestyle, I believe you can sell water and power because you won’t use any. I’m not 100% on this though, but I feel like I should test it out now lol

the logical next step seems to be an attempt at a free house. like using debug, and you gotta make it the closest thing to functional without spending a single simoleon. could be an interesting challenge👀

when you were looking for a trashcan, the apartment trash chute was available before you sold the bike! it acts like an outdoor trashcan
I use that one all the time
I screamed internally when she scrolled past them and deleted the bike lol

The apartment trash chute is zero simoleans. Also in debug, there is a fishing sign, you can make a small pond and put out a fishing sign, or get the magical tree to the Sylvan Glade. What I also like to do is put out the parma grant tree from Snowy Escape, they cost nothing, but you can eat the fruit or sell it. I think I also saw a pee bush in there for free.
to make the shell cheaper use a roof and round the top (like the shape of a hoop greenhouse) then you don't need ANY walls. Just pop a door in the front. I like to use glass roofs either partially or in sections so that i don't need lights during the day, and it just looks like you're living in a green house. You can then drag the roof to make it as long as you want so things will fit better (for free). If I want to save space, I make an outdoor shower and use debug plants to fill everything out. After that I go nuts with terrain paint. You can even use terrain paint for your floor INSIDE as well (like a brick paving) and it's also free.

i love this it looks like a teen/student moved out for the first time and the big shelf works because they dont mind scrounging for food but splurging on plants because it gives them a sense of life and purpose 😌🤝

I think I would just make the whole thing a roof, and bow it out to be like a barn. That's what I do for sheds and greenhouses. I can't see any reason you couldn't make it bigger and use it for a house.

Pro tip: In debug theres a free household base game plant apart of snowy escape & in jungle adventure theres free pots in debug with plants in them too

She never stops with the budgets
Roofs in the sims 4 are some of my favorite things to build with especially for Rags to riches. They can be very versatile and can also make some pretty interesting pop out windows.
these are actually my favorite type of videos that you do, i love seeing you build the cheapest/smallest houses, it's so fun!!
Some of those debug stones are the way that sims can't walk on them. I noticed this when I downloaded one of your houses where you used those as walk ways. So they don't really work in the way you intend them to work.
I actually love the idea of making a house that seems worn out or old would love to see you go all out with building an old dirt house or a starter house and we can pretend that it belongs to a theif or someone in the criminal career..
If you round the roof, barn-style, and add a door, you can have two more rooms. As others have said, sell the bush and use the debug public bathroom to afford the door(s). The trash chute doesn't seem to work for me. I only get the option to upgrade.
I’d recommend either the grass roof or solar panel roof (the actual roof not the panels that cost money) because with the grass you’ll have water so you’ll pay less bills or with the sun panel it’s the same but electricity
You could always just make a separate roof section, and paint that part with a tile on the inside, so it would look the same on the outside, but different on the inside

Tip for garbage can, u can use the garbage schute from city living it’s functional and u don’t need an outdoor trash can
You can get the roof to look better if you use the half-hipped (I forget what it's called) on the corners, just fyi. That type is great for creating mansard roofs and would make this build exterior look more finished imo

Eco lifestyle is an amazing pack for everything. Speaking of that I've had it for quite awhile now and never knew it came with a bike.

I think the bike is obtained through dumpster diving (or debug if you want to cheat) I think the expansion pack pre order bonuses started with cottage living

This a frame house is similar to the one I live in now. The roof of the house touches the ground. But this house isn't insulated enough, it was built in the 60s I believe.

Ps I just built a house with "those cute sculpures" and my sim used them it's the lump of clay sims fish out. They can mold them my sims love them to the point that it's a problem 😂

Based off what other comments are saying. this could be slightly more cheaper but also if you have the rule that stuff can't be outside then I guess this is the best.

Pro tip: I’ve seen you get out of build mode to change the lights but you can hold down shift and then click the light you want to turn on and boom, but **i do have a special color swatch mode so I’m not sure if it’s apart of that**
That's part of the Better Build Buy mod. You can't change lighting in build mode without mods unfortunately.
You should definitely try this challenge again, but actually try to make it cute (it qas looking so nice before! And with debug clutter I'm sure you can do it)
