Fun fact: vampires can't die from the Urban Myth, they'll get a playful moodlet because mortals are silly for not knowing what it is.
That's actually some great cross-pack compatibility!
@@SageArdor Vampires actually have quite a bit of cross-pack compatibility, like if a vampire drinks from a possessed sim in Strangerville, the vampire will also become possessed.
@@GwyneddJ Also vampires drinking from werewolves will give a uncomfortable moodlet.
Vampires can also make blood plasma packs if they are a veterinarian in Cats and Dogs while doing medical care AND vampire children can easily befriend the monster under the bed from Parenthood.

My sim, a mother of 4 kids, was practicing her debate skill, laughed, and then died. Out of nowhere. So I put on her grave “because being a lawyer is hysterical”
what happened to the kids?i had a sim,her name was alice. she was married to a man named ahmed,before they got together,ahmed got a girl pregnant and had a baby with her. ahmed never told anyone,so him and alice were quite happy. anyways she got pregnant 2 times,had a boy named Louis and a girl named Isabelle. A day after Isabelle was born,there was a house fire,but my game froze but was also still running somehow,but Alice's husband,mom and brother died. They lived pretty normally,but then later the same thing happened with the fire/freezing thing. The kids were teens and Alice was an adult,but then Alice and Isabelle died in a fire again. So Louis moved in with his grandpa,but his grandpa's new wife is the mother of his crush.
Perhaps moving the mood to Confident before practicing the debate skill would be the right course of action...
@@livelaughlevi2044 well it was my main sim Marietta and she married Akira Kibo and they had a child, twin toddlers and an infant (so I’m currently pulling my hair out lolll) and they have a pug so story wise I’m having Marietta’s best friend Summer Holiday do stay overs to help watch the twins and my daughter

Just as a small note, for the teens-only deaths, if you max out the Mischef skill while a teen, you get a unique trait called Authentic Prankster or something like that, that lets you continue to do teenage mischief even as you age up. So that's technically a way to die from stink bomb or urban myth as older than teen
If I'm not mistaken, this trait also prevents your teen from deaths. When the pack was out, I've cheated the Mischief skill to lvl 10 just to see these deaths. However they never occurred (either one of them or both, I don't remember for sure). I've had to cheat back, delete the special trait and put down the skill level to 8 to get them to work actually.
@@TacseraEpSekahs It's possible, I can't say I've gone out of my way to have a sim that I already put that much work into getting that far, killed.
One of the best things about the Beetle Juice death is that if you play as that ghost and live in a haunted house residential, your ghost sim will not be bothered by any effects of the haunted house which is useful for anyone wanting to be a paranormal investigator or just wanting to farm reward store points. I think the rocket ship death is a mandela effect thing because I remember my sim dying after crash landing, but I'm pretty sure it's because they died of starvation from just ignoring my sims needs lol.
ive almost killed sims from low needs on the rocket ship before, so its definitely possible! they probably just waited until they landed to keel over LOL

I was thinking this, because I did see another player, and thought they're Sim would d*e, but it seems like more a chance of surviving, or I thought, most way of d*ing. But to think overall, it is glitched. And this, other, vid proves it. It no longer works/happens. They used to be able to d*e from the spaceship, crashing, no clue if it did happen my SIM or not - would be long a go - but it USED to be another d*ath that happened, in game.
It has to be real because I cheat my sims needs when they are in space....
Yea totally! It’s most definitely a sims Mandela effect! I’ve played as an astronaut once (bc of nsb lol,) but I’d never even had the ship crash like that before! It crashed maybe twice, but I don’t remember it looking that crazy!
yeah, i've definitely had a sim crash the ship and then stumble out and die, but I just assumed that the crash killed them, I didn't bother to check if something else was wrong

Years ago I was making a household of every occult type, and for my ghost, I didn’t want everyone in the household to be sad, so I looked up ways to make a Sim a ghost without actually killing them, and when I found out there was a death that just directly turned them into a ghost without them "dying" (ie no Grim, no grave, no moodlets for others) that was also a reference to one of my favorite movies, I made the Sim look like Beetlejuice and named him "Keaton Michaels" SPECIFICALLY to use that death.
14:39 spellcasters can also directly cast 'inferniate' on an object (or the ground) next to another sim, which can then spread and catch the sim on fire- that feels pretty murder-y to me!
I did die by rocket ship YEARS AGO!! I would say that is so rare that it may no longer be in the game.
My sim died when I was first getting into the game. She had low rocket science skill. I remember having to exit my game without saving to revive her because I didn't know how to utilise cheats and mods then. I've barely used it since then lol it was definately a death type once. Kinda glad it isn't anymore, personally

@@KarenLoRusso yeah, I've had a couple of rocket ship deaths over the years (once using the rocket at the FREAKIN GEEK FESTIVAL OMG). But I think it's pretty random, and I'm also pretty sure her rocket got glitched in this video lol. And from what I remember, they never die from being on fire. They just step out of the rubble and immidiately keel over.
this video is a great showcase of how the sims team prioritised some players wayyy too hard
like i get that it can be annoying when your sims die, but now its so fuckn hard to kill them !! death is part of life and its a life simulation so wHY DOES ELIZA SURVIVE SO MANY ROCKET CRASHES
Part of why I no longer actually play, the game is ridiculously easy and I get bored. I'll watch other people play but for me if I want to play Sims I'll go for an earlier game.

There’s also a death by sharks in island living but it’s like super rare to get and I’ve never had it happen to a sim before even when I tried!

@@littlewhiteherz1402 they're not talking about the pond they're talking about getting pulled under water while swimming in Sulani. It's not related to energy like normal drowning. The first time it just gives you a "scared of deep ocean" moodlet but I think if you swim while it's active and you get pulled under again then it does the drowning animation. Or it's just random, I've never had it happen I've only seen it in another simmer's video.
This death can happen to vampires.
Found out the hard way.
The one I miss the most from TS3 is the Philosopher’s Stone! It was an aspiration reward and could turn any object into a bar of gold, but if you use it too many times in a row your sim will turn to gold.
Belle was the family Matriarch and when she died I put her in the middle of the family cemetery, creating a narrative something along the lines of “That statue of the missing Lady Beau is disturbingly accurate”
The rocket ship death is not a myth, it actually happen to me the first time i played the astronaut career, so I got the same sim and plopped them down on the same lot and made them go through the whole astronaut career while haunted by the first one that died

There’s also the night wraith from Realm of Magic! I haven’t been able to achieve it but I do know it’s there. You can also drown in the ocean with Island Living, and be ‘pulled under’. Those both count as drowning, though.
I think the scariest death is death my mold because it can be a reality. If you have black mold in your house it will make you sick enough to die. I also had a sim die from overwork, I cheated his needs several times and I guess it could also be starvation.
And you should be a connoisseur of death, as much death that happens in your let's plays.

Nope, I've legit had a Sims dying from the rocket ship fails. It is very rare though and seems very random. My sim in question was very happy and full needs and higher skill. But it's happened to me maybe two times over the past almost 10 years.

I’ve only ever had my sim die once by accident, from hysteria. I know a lot people don’t want their sims to die randomly, but the game feels a little TOO easy.
Accidents from fixing electronics or thunderstorm. These are most common in my saves. Emotion deaths are like you have to be VERY unlucky or force it so hard that they die.
I agree it's easier to stay alive when you are not looking/ taking care of them.
AND bad moods make them unlucky just a bit.. Grim needs money these days, he needs more dead people.

The well killed my sim when he wished for skills and the well pointed out he had none and he got mortified. He couldn't take getting roasted like that
I believe she did it in a video where she revisited the Fitness pack or whatever pack it is it comes from! If I remember right, the climbing wall sets on fire and it kills the sim!
7:26 I used to watch an old sims youtuber back in 2014/2015 and her sim died from the rocket, I cant remember which video though..
I'm not sure if you know this about the wishing well, but you can shift click it and force whatever type of positive/negative outcome you want! It can be kind of fun to mess with, lol.

Happy birthday! I was playing sims 1 or 2 a long time ago. I had light up lawn ornament on the front lawn.
A random kid walked by and played with the lawn ornament. He got electrocuted and died! What happened later
was a total surprise. At midnight, his yellow ghost rose out of the ground and would relive his death. He curl up
into a ball and fall over with electricity coursing over this body.

Now 9:55 is something I’ve never had happen! The vampires come to my house at night but they knock and are completely respectful (other than being at my doorstep at midnight) but they never break in and eat my sims!
Oh it happens a lot in my saves. Once it glitched and I annoyed Vlad until he turned my sim into a vampire, lol. (because it was a great origin story. Vampire super actress.)
You must be getting random generates or Caleb and Lilith and not Vlad himself, he always breaks in at some point.

I straight up remember in 2017-18 of my sim dying after the rocket ship. it straight up traumatised me, and i *still* to this day avoid the astronaut career

i’m terrified by the ocean, so one of these days, i was playing with island living and i decided to search if you can die by a shark attack, and apparently you can. if you swim or dive for too long (especially at night) you can get “pulled under”, and your sims die! i haven’t tried it because i don’t think i have the guts, but i’ve seen it happen on youtube videos. so maybe you can try that!

In Jungle Adventure if you find Zazatototl’s relic and combine it with death base and refined crystal, you can curse any sim (or self) and it will die of a poisoning, fire or electrocution

Edit: I also had no idea that when you wish to be alive again as a ghost that you can make a pact with the Grim Reaper to be brought back to life again no matter how you die.

Now I gotta be honest - I have never intentionally killed off a sim in my game. I've had a sim drown (in the ocean at a large party, had no idea that could even happen and probably missed some pop-up), a sim get electrocuted on the robotics table (again, had no idea it was a thing), and die from laughter (again, a party, and I wasn't focused on them) but I've never done it intentionally.
Apparently people have had sims die after the rocket crash but it ended up being from something different, like overheating or starving, so it's possible that's happened to other people but they just thought it was the rocket

I love the beetle juice one, it's a pretty clear reference to the Beetlejuice movie, where if you say his name 3 times he'll show up (and he's a ghost obviously) so having your sim turn into a ghost if they drink beetle juice 3 times is kinds funny

I fear I'm the only one emotionally attached to my sims once I create them so I cheat to prevent there deaths or reload if they die so I've never seen almost all of these 🤣🤣
Same... same. I felt unbearable guilt when an NPC died of overheating and it didn't occur to me to not save. I didn't get to her soon enough to tell her to change her clothes during a heatwave. My Sims are eternal. I'm too attached. I play one long-term rotational save.

Judging by how hard they've made it for Sims to die in 4 without actively trying to do it (compared to previous games) you're either in the majority or they think you're important enough to cater to anyway.

If you're including Fire Rock Climbing Wall in the list, then include these drowning deaths too:
* Water Garden (Get Famous) - Drowning due to jumping in or falling into the water garden. While sharks or piranhas aren't needed, they raise the chance.
* Ocean Threat (Island Living) - Drowning due to being pulled underwater by the Ocean Threat after encountering a shark. Will never happen if caused by mermaids. For best results, send your sims swimming in Mua Pel'am.
Both of these aren't caused by low energy and Ocean Threat even has a different death music.
Edit. Oh, there's Drowning in Shark Pond. That'd be Water Garden covered then. Ocean Threat is still something that's missing.
im not trying to speculate anything, far from it, but there are theories going around that the next pack will be death-themed... 👁👁
I did the rocket ship crash many times and found out sims cannot die from rocket ship as I never got a fire to spawn either. It’s not like many sims 2 deaths where a sim dies from hunger failure if they fall in an elevator, freeze, heatstroke, noodlesoother, falling money bag, electric energiser, evil snapdragon bouquet or witch throne as sims don’t have a needs drop by rocket crash in the sims 4.
Maybe the death would be oxygen deprivation and going on a spacewalk without a spacesuit.

My sim snd her husband got married at a fancy hotel and then went to one of the rooms to try for a baby.....my sim gets a positive pregnancy test and then heads to tell her new husband. He immediately turned hysterical and died. Congrats you're a widow and having twins on your wedding day lol

Death by Urban Myth is available to teens and any young adult or older who reached max mischief skill as a teen.
I believe same applies to the Stink Capsule, since you can trap a trash can with a stink capsule.

Kept at my house. I have a portable hand powered washer as well. However you reminded me of an important thing I forgot and that is will I have water on hand in a grid down situation to clean them. I am on well water and will not have access to water if power goes out. I have to look into fixing that problem. We already keep water on hand to handle several days for our animal and human needs but forgot cloth diapers are different than clothes. I can wear dirty clothes longer, but a baby clean and dry is even more critical to their health than it is for adults.
