I live in Brechin. Its just down the road from Fettercairn. The distillery is pretty much in the centre next door to the football club. We are very proud of our recent iterations of our whisky.
@@TheReal_DeanD In NYC I can still find it for $65, so your price seems a bit excessive. I'm not sure I'd recommend it given that price, but it really is a very solid traditional malt ✌️
@@MrChristopherMolloy thanks for taking the time out to reply. Man you’re lucky you can get the 15 year for $65. The 10 year in my area was $54 if one could find it.
@@TheReal_DeanD My pleasure. I can still find Glencadam 10 for $38, and I recently bought the 13 for $55, so perhaps ordering from an online shop might be worth looking into?
I got to go to the distillery around 4 years ago whilst in the area for work. At the time they did have a visitors centre but it wasn't open (only for larger parties, hospitality, corporate etc) I did however get to speak to the absolutely lovely lady in the office that got me a bottle of their 10 year to take with me (before researching I could buy it online) I've never tried the 15yr (although I have the small 5cl) the 10 is a lovely dram
I come from Brechin and I can tell you the ptonounciation of the CH in Brechin is as in ch of loch. I have never been able to get a tour and I tried recently and they are closed for the rest of the year. There was another distillery in Brechin but it has been closed/demolished for many years. It was called North Posrt distillery and if anyone has a bottle from way back then it could be worth a lot of money. When I was in my twenties I remember a guy who worked there took us in to the distillery and we got to taste the new make spirit
How is this a high-priced Scotch? It costs around and less than some 10-12 year olds with less ABV and chill-filtration. This is a very well priced Scotch imho

A great, well-priced, craft-presented, spirit-driven, Highland malt. Restrained, balanced, and refined.
I hope to find your same tasting notes. Just found it for $86 USD before tax. Only one store has it. Hoping it is good at that price.

One of Ralfys WOTY a while back
Whisky prices are increasing like a sky rocket nowadays it could be the main reason for the price
