What Dr. Lee says in this video is right on target! Practical steps to achieve leadership presence. . This video alone could be a great place to start. Each major and minor point she covers might in turn lead to years of further study and gained expertise, according to each leader's particular situation and personal style. . Two topics stood out for me, in this video. > Rapport is extremely important for many reasons, yet is often neglected. > Authenticity is vital, as it promotes confidence and can build enthusiasm in self and others. Good Stuff! ~ from a retired colleague
Wow. I often listen to youtube videos on fast speed because I get bored of waiting to hear the point. Yours is honestly the first I almost (almost!) slowed down because I wanted to digest every single word! I am a fan! Excellent information. Really helpful. Thank you!
Thank you, I didn’t realize how much experience I have, I am security tech which I always work for others as sub contractor, I do the work and train customers how to use there equipment. I am now confident to be independent sales and tech. Thank you ❤️
This is really great content. I have often thought about some of these ideas but to carry them through is hard. Hearing you prioritising this kind of information is great!
I definitely need to watch all your related videos. You present your content in a very motivating and attractive way and make learning easier for me. Good luck
One of the best videos I’ve come across on this topic. From my personal experience, I’ve had a great career run until about 3 years ago, since then I have hit the proverbial plateau. I’ve been told many times to build an executive presence and I’ve been struggling to get started or have the right kind of mentor who could help me guide. Thanks for this video Dr. Grace
Welcome to my channel, Juan Pablo! Building executive presence is a journey. I'm glad that I could help you see that it's achievable and that you deserve it. I'm rooting for you!
Thanks to YT algorithm that brought me to your channel, Dr. Grace. Extremely appreciative of your insights and wisdom. Helped greatly to tweak & upgrade my thought process…
Hi Dr. Lee, I love and live by your advices. Being authentic and speak from your heart. However, can you advise how to stay true to yourself despite the politics turmoils at the workplace?
I own 5 companies of which staff many successful ladies. Commanding the room with confidence also includes speaking to their listening. Is your audience big picture thinking or details oriented? I also staff my companies with a generous level of left handed. For creativity if found that left handers are very visual and a big picture. Right handers mostly are detail people. Successful companies recognize and appreciate both.
Yes indeed, I am one of those who relies heavily on a script and notes. I'm not sure of how to break free of that. I'm always concerned I will lose track of what I want to present.
Thanks for wonderful guidance. Really helpful videos. I often wonder on communication style for Executive presence - Should the communication be with "I" mindset or "We" mindset?
Yes, my presentation notes start with the hello and I write everything I need to say down to the thank you and then I never end up saying half of what I wrote as audience participation always forces me to lose the script…
I want to see myself as perceived by design not by default...get my colleagues especially leaders at executive level know that I am their equal despite my low level rank..I have a mandate to deliver that is aligned to the organisation 's vision and mission. When I engage with peers or high level colleagues...I will keep eye contact..
This is phenomenal. I recently enjoyed a similar book, and it was nothing short of phenomenal. "Mindful Mastery: Living Intentionally in a Chaotic World" by Kyle Ash
HI Dr. Lee: thanks much, so informative and inspiring. As for presentation, I feel I need to have at least the bullet points to cover, otherwise afraid of loosing the some of the main points and cohesiveness of talk but definitely don't write everything, I believe for someone who had not given any presentation for years, writing it and having the words ready in mind and trying to deliver and "memorized " version that comes out naturally is way to go. I know you have developed this skill that you have mastered so amazingly. For example when you say I got 5 points or 7 points on this, topic to give and deliver it while walking, in neighborhood, wonder if you practiced it so many times to the point of memorizing it by heart and you know which 5 points you meant to talk about. It is amazing to me you present a topic in these videos and in the manner that would take me hours to research, hours to dwell which ones to include and how to deliver and it has never been so impromptu looking. will continue to watch all your videos, got a lot of reflections to do before contacting you.
Yeah! If you are in a industry where your work is in the company and you are there for how long then you should to improve yourselves into the highest level like an executive power
Thank you for your question! I'm assuming you're referring to a book on executive presence. I don't have a book on that topic specifically. However, I am in the process of planning a book on communications and career growth!
Good morning and God bless you for your invaluable advices and guidance. I can write speech from my heart but l cannot give speech or presentation without script. As rightly pointed by you l write my script from 'hallo' to the parting lines of my speech. Please guide me as to how can l become confident enough to present or give speech without script. By the way, l am a very senior govt servant and l am supposed to conduct meeting and take classes more often. My mind just goes blank when l stand without script. I urgently need your guidance. Regards.
Hi, Shahnaz! Welcome to my channel, I'm glad to hear that my videos have been helpful in giving you guidance. My videos give you some tactics on what you can do, but if you're looking for more direct help to develop confident speaking without a script, then I would point you in the direction of my coaching program. Confidence in communication is one of the aspects that I help my clients with in my executive coaching program. Usually before I take on new clients, I will schedule a Discovery Call with you to explore whether it is the right fit for both of us. If you're serious about creating results for yourself with coaching and accountability, I invite you to apply for a Discovery Call with my team here: careerrevisionist.com/apply
Great video and content. Just one piece of feedback from an audience perspective: it feels rushed, probably because you want to cover all key points within a short timeframe, but perhaps you could shorten it and also catch your breath by not repeating the introductory sentences each time you list examples within a given category.
My executive presence, inner and outer, sometimes make people feel uncomfortable or insecure about themselves or seek conflict with me to try to make me feel insecure. My personal brand is about authenticity, integrity and correctness. It’s not always fun to be an exposer by nature I must say. But it quickly dhows red flags.
Great insight. It can be easy to get caught up in trying to fit into societal expectations and lose sight of our own unique identity. It's important to stay true to ourselves and embrace our individuality.
It sounds exhausting. Leadership is not for me. At the same time, don’t try these tricks with me. If you think you’re a manager of sorts and you are incompetent and don’t give a shit about people, you can stick that executive presence of yours where the sun don’t shine.
EXECUTIVE PRESENCE = OUTER COMPONENTS + INNER COMPONENTS
A. OUTER COMPONENTS = ACTION (the way you act) + COMMUNICATION (what you say & how you say it) + IMPRESSION (poise, posture, appearance)

Very helpful tips, am a new fun and I love ur contents

Yes, I'm that person that need to write the script from start to finish. My anxiety will not let me live😢😢😢
Anxiety can be helpful as it is leading to watching such informative materials that some with less Anxiety may ignore 😊
Great content 👌
I appreciate it, Malathi!
When I present I'll write bullet points only to help me memorize.
I’m ready
How do I book a session with you
I must do the notes and I will rehearse until my notes become second nature
Do u have book I can buy from you ?
Thank you for your question! I'm assuming you're referring to a book on executive presence. I don't have a book on that topic specifically. However, I am in the process of planning a book on communications and career growth!

Why can’t all women be like you
One thing for sure, society will teach you how to be everything but yourself and it is so exhausting.
