If been researching so many places for some extra tips on learning subnautica. I think this was what I needed to start running for real. I just don't get how discord works. I get confused easily by the overwhelming amount of info on the subnautica speedrunning discord.

Salvner is the reason I bought this game. Was watching one of his AGDQ runs and he suggested if you haven't played it then you definitely should to get the full experience. Some of the best gaming advice I've taken in years!
Salvner is one of the best speedrunners, always making it more inviting to new players, always repeating how to do the run while doing it, he wants more runners in this game, which is great cause in general it's an rng run and people aren't gonna be that pleased with that.

I would recommend watching his Twitch streams. His community is very welcoming, Salvner talks to his chat, and there are some streams where you can interact with the game. (Subnautica Twitch integration)
Salvner while explaining Bacon the mechanics: Talks like a normal person. Salvner while explaining Twitch chat the mechanics: x3 speed while also sounding like a broken record after each run.
Game tip:In the underwater islands by lifepod 3 has a wreck with prawn suit drill arm, grapple arm,and the propulsion arm. BUT it has prawn suit frsgments too I dont know how much I just know it has atleast 3 prawn suit frsgments and you need 4 It will save you some time while exploring aroura bc you only need to scan 1 prawn suit FRAGMENT
The cyclops is actually slower than the super seaglide, also, getting the cyclops is later in the game than you want to go to the aurora (in any% for sure)
You only need the cyclops at the very end for the shield generator it can fabricate. You only need the Aurora for the rocket blueprints. Once you have those rocket blueprints, there’s no reason to go back to the Aurora. My best time as of today is 6h27m, but I did that no cheats, no moonpool or vehicle upgrades. You only need 3nickle, 4crystalline sulfur, 6 kyanite, and such. There’s a lot you don’t actually need, but I’ve changed my route every time. Have fun
Easy, just mod in a sonic costume and play sonic music in the background, you'll be able to speedrun so fast, nobody will ever "underestimitatatate" your fastness
players on first playthrough: 1. collect materiels, 2.make a scanner,make a oxygen tank,explore and stuff players on second playthrough: 1. same, 2.same 3. look for more advanced blueprints 4. explore aurora and endgame stuff players on third playthrough: same as 2. playthrough but doesnt scare of anything anymore players on forth playthrough: collect materiels, build a scanner, build oxygen tank, build a seaglide, *GO TO THE PRİMARY CONTEİNTMENT FACİLİTY*
Hi This is a cool video and also i am speed running subnautica hardcore mode on my ps4 im so close to getting the rocket before going to disable the gun / quarantine reinforcement platform but what i need to do at the momment is find a deep area to fabricate the Neptune Launch Platform with the Mobile Vehicle Bay Then Gather the resources for the parts of the ship.
Don’t know if you remember me but I finally beat my hard core save it took my a while with a lot of DIEING and having to restart but I finally did it I have beaten normal subnautica so many times because I can’t play below zero sense my pc has been broken and I’m playing on the console version.
