- Stirling Castle, Scotland. 13th July, 2001. I've lined up audio from recording LB-1074 of the show. I've used a part of a different video at the end. Both videos from the caretaker's masters series of Bob videos. Thank you to him for sharing those, and to the recorders of the footage and the audio. New post: Bob Dylan's Theme Time Radio Hour. Episode: Weather (the very first episode broadcast): • Theme Time Radio Hour,...

I’m happy to have been a part of his generation. Maybe the only thing that makes me happy and proud. Greetings Bob, from Norway!
watching bob play is a bit like all the christmases coming at once: you got the voice, the gestures, the left hand, the knees, the whole thing; it's unforgettable
These fantastic days are defently gone, but we have been part of it. Such a great time we have seen him as often as possible!!!
Eddie Vedder is keeping these days alive 😊
Absolutely one of their finest performances of this most enchanting song - which makes me breath in and out on my Hohner in E. My ides is that Bob and his fine crew were at their best of their enormous power around 2000 AD ! Apparently I was too much absorbed in work, missing their shows... Thank to YT and the Uploaders I enjoy all this ;-)
Long life Bob!!!
A really excellent show; which I was lucky enough to have attended. Super set list for a super setting. Long Live Bob Dylan.
simply superb. i had the pleasure to see Dylan in 98 and 2000 & 2001 ish. this was his best band line-up i think. just superb. with Larry Cambell, Charlie Sexton, Tony of course and possibly George Recelli on drum here ( or maybe not) . i just love these era of the never ending tour.
It's David Kemper on drums. By far the best drummer on his NET.
THESE FELLOWS ARE WONDERFUL BLENDING THEIR TALENTS BOB CHOSE THEM !
I just love this version of ‘dont think twice’ the guitar is just so good.
I was just thinking the same thing
Oh that sweet harmonica as only Bob can play it ❤
Totaly the best live version. Bob and his band were on Stirling form, like maybe some kind of homecoming. Thanks for sharing this gem.
Dear Mr. Moth,
I know I must have seen this but must not paid enough attention to the magnificence of it all, the fan or wind blowing Larry Campbell’s hair back, the intent and content bobbing of the top of the audience’s heads almost in unison to the beat of Bob’s musical masterpieces. Most of all I can feel the love of the fans on this one. And why not? It’s summer in Scotland❤🌞👍🏼
Absolutely beautiful beautiful beautiful song sang and played so heavenly 😊❤️ xxx
I love Bob`s twitches and the way he ruffles his hair. And seeing him forget a lyric or two proves he is human... No -- he`s super-human. We knew that all along....
I mean too say this is absolutely really (bloody,)brilliant
❤
This is an amazing rendition of one of my favorites. Really, really beautiful, and a mystical experience for many.
Thank You Nightly Moth for bringing on two gr8 shows !
Superlative playing by Larry Campbell, as per usual.
MY FAV VERSION OF THIS SUBLIM SONG THANKS NIGHTLY AND GOOD SUNDAY ♥♥♥
Fantastic! Thanks so much!👌🎸🎼🎶🎶🎶⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Had heard Dylan was a great guitar player. Here’s the evidence . Thnx 4 recording & posting.
Just perfect, God bless Bob Dylan and his band (bands)❤
Fabulous performance and the audience knows it. Wish I had been there….thanks so much for posting!🙏
Marvellous ! Thank you Nightly Moth for posting.
Sir Robert Zimmerman ( Bob Dylan ) is truly Our Lord's eternal poetic troubador.
Happy Birthday, Bob! Once more around the Sun!
Bob Dylan sei per me il più grande in assoluto
Anche per me
During my life I have learned a lot from cousin Bob and yet on occasion when we talk, he will ask me for my most honest opinion, he will ask me what I think of some new lyrics that he has written, on very rare occasions, I will rub out a few words and write in what I feel will work better. Bob is that kind of fair and open-minded man, he listens, and he takes notes. Yet I wish that I have 0.15pc of cousin Bobs God given talents and courage
Ain't it just like the night to play tricks
When you're trying to be so quiet?
We sit here stranded though we're all doing our best to deny it
And Louise holds a handful of rain tempting you to defy it
Lights flicker from the opposite loft
In this room the heat pipes just cough
The country music station plays soft
But there's nothing, really nothing to turn off
Just Louise and her lover, so entwined
And these visions of Johanna that conquer my mind
In the empty lot where the ladies play
Blind man's bluff with the key chain
And the all-night girls
They whisper of escapades out on the D-train
We can hear the night-watch man click his flashlight
Ask himself if it's him or them that's insane
Louise, she's alright, she's just near
She's delicate and seems like the mirror
But she just makes it all to concise and too clear
That Johanna's not here
The ghost of electricity howls in the bones of her face
Where these visions of Johanna have now taken my place
And now little boy lost, he takes himself so seriously
He brags of his misery, he likes to live dangerously
And when bringing her name up, he speaks of a farewell kiss to me
He's sure got a lot of gall to be so useless and all
Muttering small talk at the wall while I'm in the hall
Oh, how can I explain, it's so hard to get on?
And these visions of Johanna, they've kept me up past the dawn
Inside the museums infinity goes up on trial
Voices echo, "This is what salvation must be like after a while"
But Mona Lisa must have had the highway blues
You can tell by the way she smiles
See the primitive wallflower freeze
When the jelly-faced women all sneeze
Hear the one with the mustache say
"Jeez, I can't find my knees"
Both jewels and binoculars hang from the head of the mule
But these visions of Johanna, they make it all seem so cruel
The peddler now speaks to the countess
Who's pretending to care for him
Saying, "Name me someone that's not a parasite
And I'll go out and say a prayer for him"
But like Louise always says, "You can't look at much, can you man as she herself prepares for him?"
And Madonna, she still has not showed
We see this empty cage now corrode
Where her cape of the stage once had flowed
The fiddler, he now steps to the road
He writes, "Everything's been returned which was owed"
On the back of the fish truck that loads while my conscience explodes
The harmonicas play the skeleton keys and the rain
And these visions of Johanna are now all that remain
Canyou ever imagine anyone these days ever writing summat like this fuckin masterpiece
Ha dont make me laff
Talentless wankers
Thanks. Straight to the heart..
❤ This is bloody fantastic as well
Thank you
Mighty Moth

Whosoever says divine loves not real hasn't ears to hear its hearts call
Brilliant. What's the go with the Oscar on top of the amp?
Dylan takes his Oscar with him to every concert. these days it sits atop his piano, his new choice of instrument to play.
This person you had the visions of, what does she look like?
She looks exactly like Joan Baez. Louise holding a handful of rain looks exactly the blond dancer from the duet with Carole Laure’s “Save the Last Dance for me” The one being so useless and all looks exactly like Leonard Cohen. The Nobody who has to think too much about Desolation Row is the same Nobody who stopped to ask Why in front of the Three Angels who stood high on the pole when the Bakery truck arrived containing Baby Doe where Bob’s flat chested junkie whore buried her live baby because of having the worse fear that can ever been had. The fear to bring children into the world. Nobody can sing the blues like Blind Willie Mctell singing “This is not the stove to bake your bread” to the Master of War Joan Baez. The story also involved a number of other issues like shiploads of children being brought from China and packed into trucks like fish (the fish truck loads as my conscience explodes) while Nobody risked his life to secure a map following the streetcar visions Joan had which gets mentioned in Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands” whose deck of cards was missing the Jack and the ace and who was the May Flower that Maggie picked was cast aside so that Joan could suck on Leonard cohen’s drug laced broken popsicle. Having already endured the wasted years of being framed by Joan and Leonard (see Percy’s Song)
He has some bitter feelings expressed by the one who sang his small song. That you should definitely listen to “Fool’s Gold” by Lhasa de Sela. She also sings the song to Bob leading to his “I’m giving myself to you I Am as well as his creating his own version of Nobody and why he sings from Key West “I don’t love Nobody, give me a kiss” as he wrote a very long time ago in “I was young when I left home” the song must be for somebody if not for himself. This was fun writing. Everything being said to You is true. Imagine of what it is true. Or ask Bob who he was talking to when he sang “It’s all true, everything You heard”
Struggling with the guitar there a bit Bobby haha. Great stuff though!
Thats one of his way to hold the guitar..the other way is with the neck pointing sky high..
interesting and typically dylan thing, sometimes he did after 40 yerars better version of song and sing it perfect - johana... and mostly dont think twice in this concert..... and in another time he ruin some his songs totally since 1966 :D love him.
With his high forehead, he resembles Edgar Allan Poe.
In case anyone is wondering who the people in this song look like especially the one who had her visions which she refuses to acknowledge although she has a video of them. She looks exactly like Joan Baez. and don’t forget who is taking you home so save the last dance for me
Listen to Blind Willie Mctell “Lord have Mercy if you please” Tomorrow belongs to me.
.
He doesn't even try to sing, losing all the power and depth of the original. Just backing band.
Suprimer boost
His vocals were sub par to this great song
Try touring constantly, different cities every night and your voice will suffer the same fate. However: When Covid hit, the tour was suspended. Bob at 79 recorded "The Shadow Kingdom with 12 musicians, 14 songs, and one location. With the support band of T-Bone Burnett and Don Was..another classic has been delivered.
Oh Gaby, Gaby
Tu devrais pas m'laisser la nuit
J'peux pas dormir, j'fais qu'des conneries

un po mosso ...traduci in italiano
un po tanto mosso
it's too bad Zimmerman he doesn't sing in English. That's why Leonard Cohen deserved the Nobel. You could understand him and his words.
Whats wrong with you?
