THANK YOU for this! I am 56 and have only hot water bathed because of a pressure canner accident when I was a small child helping my mom pressure can..I was 11 and it scared me so bad I would not pressure can..The lid literally exploded off the top of the canner as my mom was removing it and it hit the ceiling and left a dent in the tiles.🙀I was standing 4ft away from the stove by the sink with my back turned, I heard a loud noise, mom screamed out and as I turned around I saw my mom was shaking, she was very lucky she did not get hurt..so was I… My mom, god bless her fearless soul, went out and got another pressure canner and continued to can all our garden veggies and meats like a trooper…That is how we lived back then in the 60s & 70s, off the grid, growing , raising & canning all our veggies and meats, jelly jams and storing in the root cellar. We even ground our own wheat and corn to make our breads and made our own goat cheeses and butter from our goats milk.. GOOD OLE DAYS is was. 😊 I have literally been petrified of pressure canning since that day…lol But after watching your video, I am going to order the presto pressure canner and try to pressure can as I feel more confidant about the safety of todays pressure canners after watching your video….THANK YOU👍🙌🏻

I have had my Presto Canner for 3 years now and have been PETRIFIED to try it. I have a garden and always have way more carrots and other vegetables than I can possibly eat. I am generous but I wanted to benefit from my hard work a little longer. I stared at my Presto Canner and my carrots simultaneously…..googled canning carrots with Presto Canner and ….voila! Thank you for making it look sooo easy. I have subscribed and will get my carrots ready to can tonight. I shall keep you posted. I am 64 and am still learning. ❤

Thank you for this!!! I bought the same canner back in the spring, but then read somewhere that I can't use it on a flat top stove. Then I started researching propane burners, but then read somewhere else that you're not supposed to do that either! I was getting very frustrated and discouraged, so finding this has given me new hope. I've got a freezer full of tomatoes from the garden and meat from our animals that we have raised, so now I finally feel like I can start processing it all for the pantry so I can fill the freezer up again. Yay!

I'm 65 and wanted to can for many years. I've been watching videos on all the different pressure canners from Presto regular canners ,electric canners ,All American Canners for the past few years. I finally jumped down the rabbit hole and decided on the Presto 16 quart (which was delivered today). I'm also one who based on a bad experience my mom had with a canner of green beans exploding and 3rd degree burns I just couldn't do it. I typed in Presto pressure canner tonight your video was the first one that popped up. Your calming voice and such clear instructions and information have put me at ease. I (Can) do this.. Thank you I just subscribed and will update on my progress.

It was so much easier to can on gas stove. With electric stove, I find I have to babysit the canner. You have to keep adjusting the heat dial on my stove once you've done the 10 minutes of venting. I have on of those smooth, glasstop stoves. They look pretty but they aren't easy to cook on. Been cooking for 58 years and canning for 37. Most difficult stove to use I've ever had. I think most electric stoves are being made with the smooth glasstop these days

Excellent instructions. Just one comment, depending where you live, your altitude, you may need higher pressure. But the book will explain that
