Be OK if you could start selling. They're suspending accounts for no reason. Pay the set up fee then within minutes suspended. No customer support, no reply or reason why after sending them numerous emails. Just took my money, then suspended my account. It was handmade book covers I made myself. It's not only me, it's happening to lots of others as well.
Their support really needs help... No number to call. Generic email responses. Weeks to get anyone to help. I would recommend not putting all your eggs in one basket which is exactly what happened to me. I got my account suspended on multiple occasions because of getting too many sales and not keeping up with demand (hand making items). I ended up outsourcing the embroidery to a local embroidery shop because I couldn't fulfill everything myself. I would go weeks with waiting for them to reactivate my account, putting hold on payments etc. If you're starting a business its great to start on but long term I decided not to fully focus on Etsy because of that reason. Randomly shutting down people's businesses for no reason!! If it works out for you it was a great opportunity to make some extra money but its almost as if they don't support sellers on there. I have also heard of them deactivating shops right when they sign up. This happened to an account I made in 2021. I opened another shop in 2022 and had great success. Nothing is more safe then building your own brand and business that you can control. I shared all this information for free for those who have that chance to sell on Etsy. I hope this video helped you learn about SEO in general. It is mostly the same on all platforms: Google, Amazon etc. Thank you for your comment and best of luck selling online :)
