- He-man the complete figure line 80's
Eternia was the place in which the best toy figures in the 80 come from and yes I'm an 80's kid, I loved m.a .s.k, transformers ghostbusters etc but he-man blew them all away for me, i waited months for the holiday special to come on tv , drove my mom nuts, I think I owe it to my mom dad everyone to make this list, and I sort of apologies as a kid driving everyone mad for these, even my little brother got names, Adam, lol.
so here is the list of the original he-man masters of the universe Mattel action figure line.. eterniacollectables.co.uk/

Watching this makes me realise how lucky i was as a kid. My mother must have spent fortunes solely on he man figures
Ahhhh precious memories.
Will never forget the times i spent with these guys, almost brings a tear to my eye. I'd be saving up to buy a new one, but it was sometimes tough to know which one my hard earned should be spent on.
Same here. Castles always sat on high shelves in the toy shop. I never got anywhere near them :-(
@@arnold80s94 Yeah to me I didnt mind not owning Castle, I kinda had a sense that the figures had a higher return of fun on investment.
Fisto. The answer is always Fisto. XD
I remember in Christmas 1987, looking in my Christmas bag from Santa and seeing a webstor figure and literally not believing my eyes. Ram Man, Trap Jaw and many faces were my favorite though. I even had snake mountain, with a built in microphone. Never got castle greyskull, but probably had about 50 he man figures. I spent all my paper route money on them. A lot of these figure were pretty rare in Australia too. Man, this video is super AWESOME!!!!
I remember coming home from school and watching He-Man.
Good time 80s.
As someone with very fond memories of enjoying playing with many of the best figures in this line, it's quite a surprise to see that a LOT of the other ones were really quite crappy looking if I'm honest :(
They all look amazing but Skeletor, Beastman and Trap-jaw are my favorites.
ruclips.net/video/iGGgziM449E/видео.html
Extendar, Sy-Klone, and Roboto were my favorites when I was a kid.
I love He-Man!
me to i am in the sado club too lol
Thanks for this. This brings back so many memories. Now I can go back and buy each one at a time.
Thank you so much for the stroll down memory lane. I think I had about 50-60% of these. I also had the castle greyskull!
What epic memories. Christmas morning 1982 & Castle Greyskull & the figure’s spread out under the tree. First it was every thing Star Wars from 79-82. Then ever thing He-Man for 82 & 83. Then for ‘84 it every thing Transformers. Bye He-Man. Then ‘85 it was bye Optimus & Starscream & I was all in for GI Joe. I still remember the USS Flagg being the Greatest Thing Ever under the tree. Then, August of ‘86 was freshman year of HS…& goodbye to all the toys. My poor mom & dad. No wonder I was an only child. They never had time (or money) to give me a sibling. 80’s kids, the Gen X’ers were the first SPOILED generation of children. The big companies learned for the first time our buying power via our parents & it was a never ending vacuum of taking their $$$$.
Didn’t realize I had about 85% of of all the he-man toys. Sweet video
My Dad got me all the He-Man figures from 1982-1987. 7:00 That's true, he was really hard to get in Canada as well. I remember my Dad ordering King Randor in the late 1980's. I loved playing with toys as a kid back then, heck, I loved playing with toys as a teen back then :p
I'm currently watching the first season on HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE and it's making me miss my old toys. :(
i was watching the episode were battlecat becomes he-mans friend , can never remember that episode as a kid, also i remember a episode with skeletor as father christmas im sure unless i dreamt it...
The same here.. so I'm buying em back from Ebay regularly
Parabéns pelo seu trabalho. É um homem íntegro na sua coleção.
Tongue Lasher, Webster and Scare Glow, they are three of my fav of the MOTU toyling my uncle gave me.
Very helpful (and fun!) list. Thank you!
your knowledge is great i never knew half of these figuires even existed great video budd
Great video, even though I was a poor kid, had 80% of these in late 80's. Hand me downs from older cousin 😎👍
@Alien Jones Savage better than nothing, good thing we didn't grow up in a 3rd world $h!t hole country 👳♂️
scareglow , stinkor , two bad , mosquito , clamp champ , rio blast , are one of my favourite ... cool collectio bro
Great vid. My phone translates ur speak “wife free”. Lmao. But hey I collect these and appreciate ur content. Nothing cooler than these figures. The Netflix doc on these and it’s crazy creators is great.
Very nice video,thank you!
Necesito. Saber. Donde. Conseguirlos
Just found your channel thanks for the video

ruclips.net/video/iGGgziM449E/видео.html
Hi bro nice video thanks I collect he man 80s appreciate it 👍
I love this video!
I only owned Triclops and HeMan with battle armor. A friend had Fisto and another friend had Roboto. That was pretty much it. We were mostly into Legos & Playmobil. I did wish to own at least something like 20 figures & possibly a castle but never got to it. :D
Awesome toys
Great upload
Thank you.
I bought the MOTU toys circa 1989-91. These are the ones I remember having:
WAVE 1:
He Man
Skeletor
Teela
Man-E-Faces
Man-at-Arms
WAVE 2:
Ram Man
Tri Klops
WAVE 3:
Kobra Khan
WAVE 4:
Moss Man
Spikor
Two Bad
I so wanted to get Orko, but for some reason, that didn't happen.
Whiplash was my favorite, I got him second hand so I didn't know his actual name, so I just called him Dinosaur Man.
great video !!!!
THANK YOU
Please everyone - turn on automatic captions and see how RUclips deals with the accent. It's amazing.
I love the way he says then we have
I was born in 81 so He-Man was already into Wave 3 or 4 before I started getting them. One advantage of this was I could get them in the stores OR at yard sales from older kids.
thats how i got my brothers star wars and action man/gi joe my dad gave him a fiver for them all and then gave them to me......best buy ever my brother had at-at and so much and action man figures called eagle eyes were cool, but i preferred he-man
Great video
Just found all my He-Men. I have all the figures even the hard to find ones except 3 or 4
How long did it take you to Get your collection together and did you spend a lot of money?
@@PiersPlowman no, I found my collection in a box from 25 years ago. It was stored in a trailer my father still owns. They were filthy but all intact.
@@lonreed9743 did you have the castle too?
@@vibes3360 yes sir, and snake mountain and eternia
nice video
I had a Ninjor, (UK) was one of my fave figures as a kid.
Nice video. It's funny, all the ones that were hard for you to find in the UK were the ones that were hard for me to find here in the USA.
Thanks for the info!
I had some of these figures and remember the cartoon also
I was born in '83 so I didnt get into He-Man til... Around 1990, I think?
The release of Origins has had me make up for lost time with an excessive vengeance tho and I've started dipping my foot into customizing, starting with one of my comic creations that I'm working on turning into a MotU figure.
Epic
MOTU for ever
He’s cleaned up all the funny troll comments saying “then we have”
love how squishy there heads are for chewing ................
They went down hill after wave 5. I stopped wanting them after that when I was a child.
I agree
i remember everything about heman but it gets blurry after wave 5
Yeah, but the awesome Scare Glow is in Wave 6, I remember having that one as a kid, it was one of my favorites.
@@Alex-fx5es I gat the MOTU all the way up to 1887 never had Karg and Saurod and She-Ra and the Great Rebellion though and the rest of the Evil Horde
I meant up to 1987 not 1887
Wave 5 and 6 have some of the rarest most valuable figures
Have you done a MOTU vehicle, playset, beast checklist video? That'd be awesome.
didn't battle armor skeletor have also have a hard head? i chewed on a lot of these toys heads when i was a kid :\
I had most of wave 1. Not sure why I didn't continue collecting. Guess I was more into Star Wars and GI Joe. Though I do remember wanting and getting the Battle Action He-Man when it came out.
Same with me, but I didn't get later sets, because I started getting too old to play with toys anymore.
Many memories!
I think that they should have had a variant of Man-At-Arms.
The variant would be carded as "Duncan (Man-At-Arms) and it would look more like Man-At-Arms in the He-Man cartoon. The main difference would be that this Man-At-Arms would have a mustache, like in the cartoon.
I remember putting moss-man in the slime pit...I was awesome
I'm in love with Skeletor 😂
I reference this video at least once a week.
thanks so much
Great video....im using this to go over my collection to see who i don't have...i don't got orko👎😂
ruclips.net/video/iGGgziM449E/видео.html
Love the vid
THANKS buddy much appreciated
I Still have some of these including King Randor, Sorceress and Zoar
king randor so hard to find
what is Mer-man's weapon supposed to be?
Where's the weird green skeletor from the vids pic
You reminded me of stonedar snout snout spout king snack the the he-man with the caps
at super 7 you can now buy the figures of 80 years again
You didn't cover the giant-sized neon Skeletor prototype from the thumbnail.
I have this Skeletor and a He-Man as well.
Stinkor was cool he had a funny smell..
Statos was awesome
I'm proud to say I don't own one figure from wave 5.
Oh man😂
My favorite figure is Fisto.
I thought Stratos and Zodac were boring too as a kid. LOL
This video should be renamed : "Mattel: the search for more money"
i actually love mattel for taking on he-man idea after kenner rejected it , kenner were the greed machines with star wars of the day and thought they were better than everyone. its a shame now how expensive reissues are
Yes, I think I remember hearing that the He-Man cartoon would come out with a new character every week just so they could make a new toy.
I have all the figures, apart from the laser light skeletor, power laser he man, rotar, twistoid, and tutus and megator, I think I'll end up getting rotar and twistoid but may have to call it a day there as the others are too much for my pocket,
If I close my eyes I can smell Moss man 😁
ruclips.net/video/iGGgziM449E/видео.html
What about stinkor?
I wanted Zodac Merman Teela Stratos...my fav
Modulok is my fav
YES
wave 1 skeletor was half boot paint and either purple or black shorts, wave 2 and up was full boot soft head, then the hard head re release.....im a nerd, i know.
i used to be a huge masters of the universe collector , a right geek myself before having kids and selling my near mint complete collection mostly boxed, the amount of variants of skeletor i had was pretty suprising i have not seen anyone do a video with every variant i had,, i even had a black grizzlor i found on ebay years ago, the france colours were slightly different shades to asian ones and then mexico had even stranger versions.. i think it depended what country you were from to type you got, in england most our figures were stamped france, unsure how many factorys around the world produced these for mattel but are differences to the trained eye, and its great being a nerd, my wife calls me a nerd everyday , i must have one of the biggest turtles collections in the world and whilst i was a he-man kid growing up for some reason i got addictive to collecting turtles.and now with fakes being produced collecting is a nightmare, i could ask a company in china to make me vintage he-man figures and they would...and good aswell ,
Moss man The Best with your smell good before 34 years
ruclips.net/video/iGGgziM449E/видео.html
Looks like I stopped getting these in 85
Wonder how many mint condition mossmen are out there. I know I ruined mine as a kid using the slime chamber thing, could never get it off and he pretty much was patchy green skin man after that lol
nice video...what about BattleCat + Panther...I guess they were they Wave 1 & 2 respectively
i just made in about figures ,
Waiv one
🤩👌
Spikor is my fave
Thanks for the memories.
Why is that though with 80's toy ranges that they look so great on release but then the design and production just goes down hill until they look cheap and nasty? Transformers had the same problem.
Simple. Because designers either run out of ideas or they don't put in the effort since the toys sell on brand name alone. It may be also that the more talented artists and designers move to other projects as revenue decreases for a particular toy line.
It's not just the 80s either. 90s TMNT and power rangers. 2000s wrestling figures, etc.
Then we have...
Thank you much!
Super7 is the only ones that makes a good looking toy of MOTU. Sadly they are out of my price range. I'll just cherish the memory of the cartoon, the OG line was a bunch of mold re-use of toys that could barely stand.
those new Mattel ones are epic, on pre-order from amazon
The line peaked in 1985
These figures, although they looked great, had terribly badly connected legs with cheap rubber. They would break off after a few months, at most a year of children's play.
As I was saying on the comments for another video. After Wave 2 it's too hard to get stupid
Rubish, however, Ran-man was one of my favorites.
Wave Free
You wot mate?
😂
Ok when we're he-man released? He-man wiki says released in February of 1983 but your video says wave 1 was released in 1981. Also the he-man action figure guide says wave 1 was released in 1982. So which frikkin year were they released?
i think best way to find out is watch the toy documentary on he-man toys on netflix
also i will add , toy dates i a little unreliable as i remember as a kid blue transformer racing cars given out for free , these now are incredibly rare and no one may even know about this but was a test to see how popular the line would be with kids, i did sell a skeletor back card on ebay a few years back and when masters of the universe came out you could only buy 8 figures to start with heman.org says 1982 as year came out , tricky bit here would be to find out when the ones stamped france came out , as various figures have different country stamps , my suspicion would be they tested them out in one country first then mass produced worldwide afterwards
netflix show that will tell you everything is called "toys that made us" watch series episode 3
Thanks for the reply. Yeah was totally curious because different sites list wave 1 coming out in different years. I been collecting for years now and just started to really focus on collecting he-man action figures and most people on ebay say wave 1 is 1981. Before I purchase a figure I go to a certain site to make sure I get the figure complete and on that site wave 1 is 1982. And then the he-man wiki says February 1983 so I was confused lmfao. Anyways thanks for the info. I'll totally check that out on netflix.
Hey brotha I have another question. I just purchased a original moss man and everything says he was released in 1985 but his date on his back says 1981. Does that have anything to do with th e beast man figures body being reused to make mossman?
I wish i would have had King Randor.🤴👑
My first was Randor, and second present opened was He-Man ofc :)
Just got him at age 41 at an antique store during the holidays
yeah why was he so rare, i had lazer light figures but never randor...
@@Lokicollectables He was rare because he came at wave 6 of the toy line where the Masters of the Universe toyline was kind of dying down, and there were not many of him manufactured or purchased due to lack of interest by that time, making him rare today.
Just need rotarr, twistoid, laser power he man and skeletor.
Geez, after watching this I'm surprised He-man was ever popular. Only the first couple of waves were there any decent figures. I remember having: He-Man, Skeletor, Beast Man, Trap Jaw, Man at Arms, and Tri-Clops. I think Transformers eventually came out and then it was bye bye He-Man.
Wow they're all from mattel?
U SURE PMSL
Duh.
Wave 6 was definitely there downfall
lol i buyed king randor for 5 euro same with ratlor and skeletor
Abit harsh on Ram man
you made me smile..
The US didn't even see a quarter of the figures
Thekeyman1 Not true.
