what about the extra step with the backfoot when teeping the wall??? Does it really just depend when you want to do that ( cover small distances) or should we aim for the no step of the back foot? Ive seen high level thai fighters always take some type of step wether thats with front or back foot in regards to the front teep.
Completely disagree for speed and power for lead teep back foot and hips, twist forward and straight bank to start position, I have wind many round one and two with just teeps, if they rush in, slide slip and bang in right cross or elbows. Starting in 1989/1990, training before tourist gyms, 33:2:1

usually a shift more than a step as they lift the knee they sorta shifting a little forward on the rear foot to cover some distance
