    I'm curious, what tips do you recommend for landing that teep?!

    • @eastwoodraps6400
      @eastwoodraps6400 3 года назад +13

      Throw one hard low kick then feint it and twist your leg into a teep

    • @chimpz4ever
      @chimpz4ever 3 года назад +15

      Classic fake rear roundhouse to rear teep! Bring your back leg up wide as if throwing a roundhouse then change the trajectory as you bring your leg up to a teep. Works best for people who check a lot. It's a good idea to land a solid rear kick first to try and provoke a check.

    • @heyeggshen
      @heyeggshen 3 года назад +4

      The last setup you showed here has been my fave for many years. Basically lead hand to distract (jab, hook, etc) followed immediately by rear oblique kick to thigh/knee or rear teep 🙌

      Do a check teep to the thigh to prevent advancement and then do a lunge teep. Works wonders!

      Unless he’s skilled at catching then you better have a back up plan

    • @ricardoallen786
      @ricardoallen786 3 года назад +4

      The back up plan is to go for the teep again, then swing it around to a question mark kick with full knock out force

    • @ricardoallen786
      @ricardoallen786 3 года назад +2

      You're probably only gonna get 1 opportunity to set that up, so dont be timid about it when you see the chance.

      @@mikegoodwin5951 If ur against a skilled opponent just use obligue kick. Too low to catch, too hard to block, the only downside is that people in your gym will hate you for it.

    I've been using a lil combo I find super effective to land a lunging lead teep to the face.
    Start with a lead teep to the body - and as soon as your lead foot returns to the ground go straight into a lunging lead teep to the face.
    The initial teep to the body creates distance and usually lowers the opponents hands slightly when they think theyre out of range, so if you immediately go into a lunging lead teep up top it often catches them off guard. Seems to piss a lot of people off too so use with caution haha!

    Loved that last technique Jeff. Tried it this morning when sparring with my trainer and managed to floor him. I went in with the hook and he saw my right leg come up, I assume he thought I was going for a quick hook into leg kick combination so he went to check it however by doing so had all of his weight on one leg so the teep pushed him off balance on onto his ass. It's the first time I've managed to floor him and he was very impressed. Simply awesome!

    Brilliant. When I first started training MT, I was told that my teeps were pretty good. I've kinda strayed away from them recently, but after watching this I'm inspired to make them a staple again. Such a quick attack. I see so many ways to build off that rear teep too (i.e. once the opponent is used to it, start faking it and go for a superman)
    Can definitely see someone winning an entire fight building off just a teep and a jab
